I know we're crossing pretty firm lines of demarcation here, but I wouldn't be so down on Bouwmeester. I'm really not just saying that because of the chemistry factor of having played with Pietrangelo for almost a year, but believe me they're an impressive unit. Bouw may be slightly behind 3G14A, but the guy can cover ice like nobody's business. He singled handedly neutralized Crosby multiple times Saturday night. Between the two of them? Nothing.

I really don't see Team Canada being disappointed with one of, if not the best D pairings in the NHL as its third.

Not saying that i prefer him over PK but if it is one guy that will excel on a bigger ice it is him. I cant really put a value on pk since i have seen him too little during the latest years. But i am usually worried about having guys that go for nog hits transfer to a big ice, compared to Dmen that are more "following".

Im unsure of how much of it is that big hitters are usually bad skaters(which pk is not) and how much it is that its just easier for the forward to get the puck past the Dman before the tackle hits, which results in à 3 on 2 turning into à 2 on 1. I am not so sure about how kronwall Will perform myself

Edit: just to clarify, i still prefer PK eventhough i think Bouw will excel more

The way the NBC guys killed Giroux for reacting to a slash on his surgically repaired hands and were silent when Crosby dived was a great example of their overwhelming bias towards the Penguins.

Pat LaFontaine was a favourite player of mine when I was young, so certainly hope things pan out in Buffalo for him and the Sabres.

Eaves has just been waived, a shame as he was a great bottom six guy but was never the same after the huge injury.

So I guess Holland is just waiving everyone. Waive all the players!

The franchise history is that the last two main games got very high or high scores almost across the board - 91 for KZ2 and 84 for KZ3. Never played a Killzone myself, so I can't say whether I agree with them or not.

Why does GAF (or gamers in general) care so much about review scores?

They're not even real journalists. Most of them are paid shills and fanboys, and if they're not their "reviews" are just opinion pieces at best.

Learn about the game and if it interests you rent it or try the demo. Do you really need a stupid score on metacritic to tell you if it's worth buying?

I would think Dudley is better for the job but then look what happened in Atlanta...

Since everyone else is doing it, hire Mogilny for coach!

Also, I recall Nolan was in NYI after Bur and he didn't have much success?

The console itself should get good reviews. The price is the biggest issue, I think. The power is there and its features and services can't be matched at the moment. It's a lazy man's console and I'm a lazy man!

The problem is Sony fucked up by not giving them time to play multiplayer, thats why Jeff is waiting to put his review up iirc
He liked Killzone 2 a lot, so hopefully his review should let us now if its similar to that or not :/

Killzone will always have a negative reputation due to the "Halo Killer" moniker and the 06 CG trailer. I bet most people and reviewers look down on it whether they admit it or not.

They should have sent out review copies and not had this ridiculous review event in the first place. Give reviewers time to play through the game at their own pace.

Agreed, don't know why companies think those things are a good idea. If I was a reviewer I would be incredibly pissed off.

Some complained. But there's not much you can do until ALL reviewers make a stand. Even then, the community will ridicule them. See: Adam Sessler (this was before the 1080p/60fps ordeal)
