Tarzan holds up on DVD even
I re-watched it 4-5 years ago and thought it held up then....
It's probably my second favorite 90s Disney movie, after Lion King ofc.

Nice! I'm not sure why it never really registered with me to the same degree as a lot of other Disney movies, that's why I haven't seen it in ages. I've actually seen Hercules way more times, which I'm pretty sure isn't remembered as fondly. :lol

Honestly, the big name games don't appeal to me anymore. I mostly care about Tekken 7, GT Sport, maybe Persona 5, but mostly just to have a new console for future fighting games.
True. Rumour has it they're saving their big update to next year's phone, since it'll be the 10th anniversary of the iPhone.
But then again, they could probably still come up with something better this year than force touch on the home button, dual cameras for the 7+ and water resistant (which is pretty big for iPhone standards, imo).
Which is why I'm probably going to just wait another year. My iPhone 6 still holds up pretty well.
The blend of CGI and hand-drawn animation is probably one of the best of its time. CGI/hand-drawn mixes can be a mixed bag sometimes, but it really made Tarzan stand out.

Seems like only a handful were able to avoid sustained criticism.
Hopefully publishers reevaluate whether the release now and patch later model is worth keeping. Seems to do a lot of damage to their brands.

The only thing that was shitty about it was the problems with online. That's it.
The base game is great, the DLC makes it even better. So I don't know what type of revisionist history you are trying to pull with the 'shitty at launch' shite.

Like Jhonny said people love Driveclub now after a rough launch. I think SFV is in a similar position, rough launch but now liked by many.
As for the other games, yeah most of them were disappointing. I played Fallout 4 for like 3 hours and bailed.

Exactly. The game itself is fine. It plays, very well. I've poured a lot of time into the game even though I came in late.
The problems the online had were shitty, but the base game, as it stood, was playable and fantastic. Guess what? Evolution busted their ass right from the jump to make it right, make it better. They were open about their plans, and followed through with them.

Most of the supposed "failures" in the AAA space can be attributed to people not keeping their hype in check. If you come in with tempered expectations, chances are you'll enjoy games.
That is my opinion on No Man's Sky. People built it up as this sort of revolutionary experience, and of course the people would be disappointed. Do the people that had problems with it deserve refunds? Absolutely, but some of the ownice falls on them tempering their hype and being rational about it.

GAF has quite the cognitive dissonance when it comes to trashing people who overly hype games, yet they do it to themselves.
Are you saying people are just way more hyped this gen than last? I dunno about that, I think developers are being forced to meet impossible deadlines and that explains a lot of the incomplete games at launch.
It's not just fans throwing fits too, the game media has handed out a lot more 70 averages this gen than last I think.

From what I've heard the last 3 or so episodes have been really good. I'm probably gonna binge watch S2 next week.
Watch the far superior MasterChef Australia. Though it has something like 40 episodes per season, it's really good. Next to zero drama between the contestants.
Had no idea it was 2 more episodes. Thought it was 10 and I was watching the season finale tonight. Nice surprise.
They all get along so well that it almost seems unrealistic :lol

I've seen the first 3 episodes of Mr. Robot Season 2, and plan to watch the rest this week. Well, up to where it is now.
Season 1 was amazing. So far, Season 2 was been a bit disappointing. Solid, but unspectacular. It's starting to get better, though. Too much is crammed into the first 3 episodes.
