I'm not worried, since I'm on the fence if I want the game or not. I just know there are some that really want it to come here as well.It will come. Don't worry, pal.
It HAS to come.
It's coming to Europe, so probably yes.
Considering the size of the userbase, that's some monstrous sales numbers.
Do you guys honestly think Monster Hunter 3G will come to NA?
Hopefully with online

4.5 million Wii's is low compared to the past am I right?
Grapevine, mostly. People close to the matter kinda confirmed it. Translation is supposedly well underway. What the... it's confirmed? when?
Yes. What's stopping it? .
In addition to its accessibility, Capcom recognize that Monster Hunter Tri’s online system was an important factor in its success as well. “The other major thing that Tri brought to the table which the PSP titles have not, is a proper online multiplayer implementation,” Svensson continues. “Monster Hunter at its heart is a cooperative multiplayer game and for our market, online play is essential. The adhoc-only approach for the US market is, more often than not, too large of a barrier to find mass acceptance.”

Pssh the Kindle Fire has sold 4 million in less than 7 weeks. Gaming handhelds have a long way to go.
Well, NoE also localized Fatal Frame just to shelve it, so grain of salt and stuff. But again, it's supposedly happening, and it'll supposedly be released much sooner than most people would anticipate. Like early next quarter. Supposedly.Great news![]()
*cough*april*cough*
that just means tri g will have online...
right?
Isn't that what 3DS sold in less than seven days? Looks like tablets have a long way to go if anything...Pssh the Kindle Fire has sold 4 million in less than 7 weeks. Gaming handhelds have a long way to go.
They view online play as a necessity for future MH localizations:

Perhaps it's overly optimistic, but I just took that quote as tacit confirmation that MH3G will have online play added for the Western releases.

3DS selling at the same sales level as DS did in '06 when the market was smaller is good? I see the mobile effect already.

You better not play me. Any word on online play? It's supposedly happening, and it'll supposedly be released much sooner than most people would anticipate. Like early next quarter. Supposedly.
It's like people don't understand how generational transitions work...
Remember when Nintendo said "over 3 million Wii units" in Dec. 2009, NPD turned out to be 3.9 million, so don't feel completely restrained to those ranges -- it can be more or less.
So Nintendo titles are selling like usual, how is this good news for 3rd party devs?

3rd parties benefited extremely well from the DS success. So Nintendo titles are selling like usual, how is this good news for 3rd party devs?
I thought the few decent, big 3rd party games sold decently(Street Fighter, Resident Evil, Layton, Inazuma 11 and Monster Hunter). It isn't. Once again per usual, it's the first party titles that sell and the 3rd party lags behind
I wouldn't be so sure, but next week is on lock.MHTriG is going to hit one million this week, so things are looking good.

No, dismissing it just as hardware transition would be leaving a lot of other variables (which are hard to account for) out.

Sold or shipped?
Sold, I guess. They've crossed 4m sold in Japan, doing that in the States wouldn't be so unheard of.
Unless I missed it, the OP doesn't specify or mention NPD or anything, that's why I'm assuming it's shipped.
gwahahahahahaha

What's so funny? Tri didn't have online in Japan either...Why are people assuming MH3G isn't coming over? Is this some inside joke I'm not getting?
