I don't understand why people want to see a remake rather than a new Zelda. :/

Because the likelihood of a new game, given the franchise's downward trend on handhelds, being better than the best 3D Zelda, Majora's Mask, is pretty slim.

People like to bet on a sure thing.

I honestly never knew about this, would be interesting to see it remade on 3DS.

No, mostly because it was a mobile game.

I think Hajime Tabata, stressed he wanted it remade since he felt it would get more exposure on a handheld as opposed to a mobile device.

It was quite decent.

Nah he wants to do Parasite Eve 3. He doesn't really consider 3rd Birthday to be a true PE game. He said something to that effect. As in he didn't feel the PE series was done justice.

He would like to work on a Vita game or a console system.

Huh? I never heard him say anything remotely negative of The 3rd Birthday. In fact, he said that given a chance he would like to make a sequel on consoles. He seemed really proud of how the shooter aspects turned out.

He never said anything remotely negative. And the gameplay for 3rd Birthday was one of the best parts of that game which he was responsible for.
