I will say that Pikmin has a great single player, but Bingo Battle can be an amazing competitive multiplayer mode

Pikmin 3 is genuinely the best co-op game I've ever played. sogood.gif

My 5 yo son and I have got Platinum on the majority of the Mission Mode levels.

I asked this in the official thread but seems like all is being discussed in there is races on the neogaf tourny..

Anyways I purchased this on Eshop thinking I had my account linked to Club, turns out I dont.. and now I am reading you must have had them linked prior to buying the game to get free games.

Surely there is a work around for this cause that seems like some bullshit..?

I chose the Wonderful 101, even though I already have it.

Going to do a modbot give-away once I get the promo code, which is going to take some time apparently with Nintendo Scandinavia (August 11 at the earliest??..... lol)

GOTY 2013 deserves to be played by more people!

Already had Wind Waker and Pikman so I went with Wonderful 101 despite having the demo. Pretty Lego Undercover wasn't included though.

Already have NSMBwiiu, SMB3DL, Pikmin3, W101, Nintendoland, and Windwaker HD. So I went with Monster Hunter as my free download, also downloaded Golden Sun with the Euro download rebate from MH.

Link the NNID and CN account and contact Nintendo with those pieces of info. They should be able to rectify (especially the US service which tends to bend over backwards a bit).

If in Europe, use the PIN instead.

How do I go about selling the code? Do I sell the club nintendo code or do I register that then get given a code I can sell?
Then does the code only work for someone that doesn't already have Mario Kart 8 registered on their Club Nintendo account?

I don't know if anything works differently for NA and EU but I'm in Australia which is EU as far as this works.
You can sell the download code (from registering on Club Nintendo) or the Club Nintendo code. The Club Nintendo code will only work if the buyer has not registered MK8 on their Club Nintendo account (or they make a new one) but the download code works regardless (hence why that is preferred).

However, in both cases Australia is classed as a separate region to Europe so the buyer will have to make an Australian NNID to use the code on the eShop in the end (less of a problem if an Australian buyer is found, AUSGAF might be better than BST thread here).

So because of the Yodel delivery fuck up, I've got 2 download codes to use. I've used one on Pikmin 3, butfor the 2nd, I'm torn between Wii Party U or Game and Wario. I've not played a Monster Hunter game so that doesn't interest me and I have the others.

Which is best? Also, I'm assuming you don't get sent the little Gamepad accessory if you buy Wii Party U?

Try the Monster Hunter demo before deciding? Out of this two though, Game and Wario unless you'll be playing with 4 people often. And no, no accessory on the eshop version.

2 of us most of the time.

I'll try the demo but I don't think I have the time for a massive game like MH.

Probably not as they claim they can't rectroactively add stars to your account either, I purchased a few games before linking my Club account and they told me that there was nothing they could do.

Seeing as I already own all the good games in the promotion I guess I'm stuck with W101. Oh well.

Ah, fair enough. 2 player feels a bit barebones on Wii Party. Game & Wario multiplayer was so unmemorable that I can't even remember it, but some of the single player games are fantastic, especially Gamer.

Did the same thing here. Contacted Nintendo and waiting to hear back now. I could have sworn I had linked up already. Hopefully will be rectified soon. Giving me more time to ponder Zelda or Pikmin. Both look pretty great.

Games for NA :

- Pikmin 3
- New Super Mario Bros. U
- The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD
- Wii Party U

I STILL can't decide...lol. You'd think this promotion would be great for me--someone who recently purchased a Wii U and is building out their library. But I can't decide if I want NSMB U after playing through Mario 3D World, WW after recently playing through it on my Wii/Gamecube, or Pikmin 3 (a game that I'm NOT excited about, have little interest in...but that's bc I don't know much about it).

Is Pikmin 3 good in short bursts? Or is it a solid investment in time? I like tower defense games, is it like that?

still have not gotten my code, I was guessing it would be an email but maybe the site is a bit messed up

I don't mind I would hardly play Wii Party U

Finally got mine registered and redeemed my code yesterday after diligently trying since Friday to get it. I picked up Pikmin 3 and played through the intro level, seems like it will be pretty fun once I can invest more time (I'm so hooked on MK8 I can't tear myself away from it!) I really wish NA was offering more options like Europe is, I might have picked up W101 since I've heard rave reviews about it. Oh well, I've heard good things about Pikmin as well and I'm sure I'll end up liking it.

I posed this question in SmashGAF but do any of you think nintendo will also do some kind of crazy awesome promotion like this with Super Smash Bros release? Seemed like the next Huge title with a very broad appeal like MK8 (easy entry level and includes all of Nintendo's biggest mascots)

I have been considering a Wii U lately and am looking at the deluxe MK8 bundle at Target. Will this bundle count for this deal so I can get NSMB for free? I'm in the USA.

It sure will!! This is a really great deal going on right now.

My brother's in the same position as those of you that weren't linked yet, pretty annoying =/

Told him he should contact Nintendo but he's lazy, guess I'll tell him if it works for one of you.

I have to say I'm quite happy with Game & Wario. Sure, it's not as great as the previous games, but it's funny and the art is great. It could need some more mini games though.

has anyone tried redeeming 2 (or more) codes on the same Wii U user? I don't know if I should because of the $30 credit promo last year...

after that ban nintendo did, it has never happened again right?

You should have gotten to a page with the code displayed. If you didn't make it that far, you probably haven't redeemed it (there are like 3-4 confirmation pages you have to go through before you see the code or they e-mail it to you).

Once you see the page with the code, the code should be sent to you almost immediately afterwards.

Where do you see this page?

I thought it was supposed to show up in your "to-do list".

Regarding an eShop purchase, anyway.

Apologies for my laziness but can someone tell me if the offer is valid in all EU countries?
Due to work I travel frequently in countries such as Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Austria so I am searching for the best price in any of those countries for the MK8 Wii U bundle, but I also want to know for which of those countries the offer is valid.

Guys/Gals-

I have a question and I'm a little confused so if someone can help me out I'd really appreciate it. So, I bought the Mario Kart Bundle (online) the other day and found out (here) afterward that I get another free game by registering Mario Kart 8. Now, I'm still waiting for my system to arrive so I can register everything, but in the meantime I went into the B/S/T community thread and bought a couple codes off other members. The first code is specifically for Pikmin 3 and the second code is for any of the 4 promo games (I assume). So how does this work? How is one specific and another generic? Also, do I have to wait to register my game and system before I can use these or can I just log into my new club account and claim them without having registered my hardware/game yet?

As I said any help is much appreciated. Thanks!

Sorry for the late reply.

Once you registered the code, a bar should have appeared that says "Claim your free game" with the games listed. You select the game then it takes you to the store page for that game, where you click "redeem", you then go through (I think) at least 2 confirmation pages before it finally takes you to the page that actually has your code on it. You don't get an e-mail sent (and your game isn't counted as claimed) till you've seen the page with the code on it.

The generic code is just a club nintendo code (which you normally register to get club nintendo points). The game specific code is a code that was already claimed by club nintendo (so no club nintendo points).

Since you have a system coming in with the code, you'll have to create a second linked account to your first club nintendo to claim it. The Pikmin 3 code you don't need to register with club nintendo, you just put the code in via the store and you'll get the game.

Thank you for the response. I surely would have screwed this up. So, just to be clear, I need to create a new club account, link it with my main one and then apply the club nintendo code? That will let me then choose which game I want and provide a more specific code which I then use on my main account?

Hello everyone and please forgive me if this question has already been asked
Is the code included in the UK Mario Kart valid thru other countries? Can I redeem it in Italy and obtain the promotional game?

BGBW

Maturity, bitches.
The process was so painless for me. Guess being a few days late has its benefits. Funny that I got the code straight away but it took till the next morning for the email to arrive.

I wish my roommate was 5 years old, he probably wouldn't suck as much and I'd have someone to play with.
I guess I'll just make children.

OK, so I have a Wii U and damn near everything on the (PAL) free game list except for two titles.

Wii Party U
Sonic Lost World

I have no shortage of wii remotes so the wii party u physical bundle isnt a relevant price comparison for me.

What I would like to know is:

a) How big a download are both games? I'd rather the smaller one.
b) Does Wii Party have a single game that captures the magic of Wii Play Tanks in both single or multi? (doesnt have to be the same type of game, just awesome a la tanks or monkey target)
c) Does Sonic have any redeemable qualities at all? (note: every 3D Sonic game Ive tried, including Adventure, Adventure 2, Heroes have all been categorically shithouse).

Oh NintendoGAF I'm so desperate in choosing a game. The games in question for me are TLoZ:WW, Pikmin 3, Sonic Lost World and W101... help!

maybe.gif

/e: so I've got TLoZ:WW, because after playing Sonic and W101 I've decided to get them as a disc. Recently I saw the latter one for just 12 Euros mint and new. Pikmin will definitely land on my Wii U some time later, but now I want to rediscover the beautiful world of WW nearly after 10 years later of playing it for the first time.

My copy of MK8 didn't come with a code.

Edit: Whoops, seems if you buy the bundle all you have to do is link the WiiU with your Club Nintendo to get the game.

Welp I'm officially stupid. I was choosing between NSMBU and Pikmin 3 and decided to go with Pikmin 3, but forgot I had actually already downloaded Pikmin 3 back when it first came out, just never got around to playing it.

So now I got a Pikmin 3 code which is pretty useless for me. Anybody wanna trade this for a NSMBU code? NA user here.

i literally can't decide between W101 and Pikmin

halp!

W101 is the best man.

I just ordered the Mario Kart bundle and I'm not 100% on my free game, but I'm leaning towards Mario Bros.

I just went to register the club nintendo code, it asked me to pick my profile and then it said there was an error. Now when I go to put in the code it says it's been used, any help?
