The only franchise that has got its own Direct for an announcement is Pokemon and that sells 14~20 million. Zelda sells well, but not that well.

Well to be frank, as of yesterday I was kinda worrying that we wouldn't even have a Japan Direct. So this news is good news.

Yeah cuz that's exactly how it unfolded.

How I remember it going was them reviewing old/boring information including streetview for a little bit. Then they showed off a new trailer for Pikmin 3 and the wonderful 101. Then they did a lengthy Bayo 2 update with interviews and a little look into the game. Then they anounced yoshis epic yarn with screenshots. Then they talked about Zelda and showed off screenshots while discussing/anouncing TWW remake as well as mentioning a wii u zelda is in development. Then they anounced X along with a trailer. They anounced that SSB, 3D Mario and Mario Kart will all be at E3. Aired a trailer of Wii U Party. Then anounced FExSMT for Wii U. While they didn't show off all games and some were in very early stages they did anounce 7 new games in addition to actually showing 7 games.
