I'm actually disappointed we're going to get Wii U news in this update ( assuming it's not just about the April firmware Update ). I was hoping Wii U would get its own Nintendo Direct in the near future.

But pessimism is a coping mechanism to avoid crushing disappointment.Besides, Nintendo's E3 presser will obviously be headlined by WiiFit U anyway. Pikmin 3/Wonderful 101/Game & Wario are all Holiday 2013 titles, so they'll want to focus on Wii Fit U since it's a summer title

What makes you think we won't? If this Nintendo Direct only has a little bit of Wii U news, we'll definitely still be in store for a Wii U Direct sometime soon. We still don't even have dates for games like Game & Wario, Wii Fit U, Pikmin 3, The Wonderful 101, etc. I'm sure there will be a Nintendo Direct about Miiverse sometime soon with the new community features that are coming with the release of Wii Fit U and the release of Miiverse on smartphones and the web.
