Maybe I misunderstood but I thought it was $5 for all 3 videos? If it's $5 each it's kind of a rip. If it's $5 for all then it's a fantastic deal.
$5 for all three. They are all really good. 20 minutes in total, thereabouts.

Not a bad Direct, but I couldn't help but find some of it... lackluster. Maybe I'm just bitter and cynical right now.
"To show our support for Indies, here's a Commander Video trophy that took us a grand total of three minutes to port over a model, pose, and write a description for!"
"Hey, Pikmin movies! They're short, only about twenty minutes. Five bucks a piece! No crossbuy!"
Splatoon looks freaking sweet though, I am very excited for that. I'm stoked that it has a single player campaign - that's all I needed to know to secure my purchase.
Also I am now officially locked in to buying the Link Amiibo because of the Spinner. Damn you, Nintendo!
That's not realtime at all tho.
Wait, there are THREE videos? Okay, five bucks for 60 minutes of content + whatever bonuses (they mentioned storyboards) is way more reasonable. I thought it was short films that, all together, totaled 20 minutes.$5 for all three. They are all really good. 20 minutes in total, thereabouts.
I'm excited to see what sort of characters they use for it. I would bet money on a few Nintendo characters/expies.This is easy to forget with all the other cool stuff too, but STEAM looks so amazing. They weren't kidding about how it looked better in motion!
omg. Iwata looks so. oh man. hope hes making a quick recovery

lol @ the Flipnote part.
I made these using Flipnote don't you know.... whats that? Oh you don't have Flipnote? That's too bad, I have it. Its really good!
You probably saw a New 3DS, the regular models have Super Famicom/Euro SNES-colored buttons.Did I see an SNES-themed 3DS XL at some point?

There's an NES-themed 3DS XL. It was shown playing NES Remix. The system looks like dog shit. There's a picture of the NES controller on the top of the system. Because that makes sense.
Oh you're right
The buttons looked a little more purple on my phone. Bleh/meh don't want the old 3DS anyways.
Anyone else think it's weird they didn't mention anything Pokemon related? Maybe Pokemon Direct?
I couldn't have set my expectations any lower and I was still disappointed

...what were you expecting if I may ask?
I want to see the white one with the colored buttons like the famicon. Just announce it for the states already.
I bought the Pikmin shorts shameless I know but they are really cute.
I hope Nintendo delves into the animation business. There is so much potential.
When you see fredrancour let him know that I said....... "I was wrong."

WTF?!
So it looks like you can explore Los Santos from Grand Theft Auto V, and when you tire of city life, you can go outside and fight the colossi from Shadows of the Colossus.
Hype.
Nintendo should really try to do animations shorts for cinemas, the Pikmin ones are high quality.
Wait, is that really a Pikmin he's drinking? Kinda surprised Nintendo would do that.
@above: It's probably a pikpik carrot. He has a tiny monologue when he lands in pikmin one about how he's naming them pikmin because they look like those things, his favorite food.
It's cool. "Nintendo-gaf was reading too hard into things and saw clues when there were none" was not an unreasonable way to look at the internet.
Thought it was meh TBH. Was expecting a teaser of Metroid, Zelda or aomething else. Sorta pumped for Majora's Mask and Xenoblade. Other than that, Nintendo needs more pizzazz, or look at resurrecting old IP's. I'd kill for a new Star Tropics.
