I personally have zero interest in that game.Red Dead 2
I doubt they value much of it at all, but they did throw us a bone with Onimusha so who knows.Oh that's what you meant. You got to talk a bit more man lol.
I guess it depends on how much they value I.P. that aren't Resident Evil, Onimusha, and Monster Hunter. For example they threw 3 remastered DMC games together in a collection for 30. I think there are a few Clover I.P. they feel are valued far below DMC 1-3, even if they have diehard fanbases.
I think for P.N. 03, Godhand, and Maximo 1 and 2, individual sales of each might be a day 1 sales figure failure.
And that's exactly why they'd fare better when packaged with other games in a collection.I'd love to see Clock Tower 3 and Godhand personally, but both are too weird and niche. They would sell 500 copies combined.
I do my part by buying all the old stuff they put out (often double dip) so I'm game for whatever. Just not getting my hopes up.And that's exactly why they'd fare better when packaged with other games in a collection.
I think with Onimusha they took a very calculated risk. It was an RE-adjacent franchise much like Dino Crisis. The franchise had really good sales back then, especially part 3 with Jean Reno. Also, they kept taking surveys about most wanted franchises and Onimusha would appear near the top. And yes, that makes the ignoring of Dino Crisis a bit of an enigma on their end.
Godhand and P.N.03 on the other hand have been forgotten. Gene and Vanessa couldn't even make it into any crossover games, even though they had not one, not two, but six opportunities to be put into one or at least as a guest character in a SF title.
True.Of course but I can at least play those games on my PS5 but Muramasa is stuck on dead system….I desperately need this game to come out on Switch 2 or PS5 or both.
I'm gonna assume big games like Elden Ring will get more exposure, but I think really old ports will be in a sizzle reel.I wonder how much will actually be new games versus old stuff you could have already played on other platforms coming to Switch 2.
Expectations are low.
Most ports will just be similar to what is already on other consoles. Some might add mouse support maybe.I'm also interested to see if they are going to add some value to these ports, if they don't have hooks, people might not have the incentive to by them.
Also FF7 info would be nice.
I think there is an opportunity for some "old games" to be just as popular as new games. Should Halo or Uncharted show up on non Microsoft/Sony platforms, that would be BIG!I wonder how much will actually be new games versus old stuff you could have already played on other platforms coming to Switch 2.
Expectations are low.
Aw man this is a partner showcase? I've been getting myself hyped at the idea of getting a date for Prime 4.
Damn.
I get it. I don't play portable often at all. So I use it for first party. Otherwise its a less powerful ps5. I understand why some would be excited though.Partner showcase is more interesting with Switch 2. Now Nintendo got a pretty powerful system. The possibilities are endless, especially with recent developments where both MS and Sony plan to release their games on Switch 2
Maybe you should live in a better part of the country then.6 AM PT

NHL would make my day. I'm not counting on it, though. I'm buying Madden on Switch in the hopes that enough people will do the same to make EA feel it's worth porting over their other games - specifically NHL.I think we definitely see easy picks like: Minecraft, Madden, EA FC, NBA 2k, and Mortal Kombat HD Trilogy.
Hopefully see: 007 something *else*. Splinter Cell, Virtua Fighter, Halo, and Horizon or Uncharted trilogy. Also would LOVE to see NHL get announced. RDR2 and REmakes seem likely too.
It isn't.I think the biggest news to come out of this is that they have removed the "Mini" monicker from Partner Directs. This is the first time since the "Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase" was invited beginning in 2020 because of COVID, that the terminology has changed. Not earth shattering, but news nonetheless!
Partner Directs can be great, expecting some good stuff as usual. And now even more excited for the inevitable Gamescom/ early September big Fall Direct. Been a long time since Nintendo has had a major presence at Gamescom. Expecting that to be a big one for sure.
From this? Honestly just some info on Tarnished Edition. Even though I'm not buying it on a Nintendo system.
As you point out, that was a combo dealie, combining an Indie World with a Partner Showcase, which they've also never done before. 2024 was also odd anyway, because it was a clear console transition and they went nearly a full calendar year without a traditional general Direct (September 2023 until June 2034), but regardless. My point is clear: they have officially moved past the Mini monicker in regards to Partner Directs. It's been a long 5 year journey. It isn't.
Indie World Showcase + Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase 8.27.2024 - Nintendo Official Site
Watch an Indie World Showcase followed by a Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase! Both presentations back-to-back, are roughly 40 minutes in total. Please note, there will be no mention of the Nintendo Switch successor during either of these presentations.www.nintendo.com
agreed.I personally have zero interest in that game.
If you bring multiplatform game to Switch 2 then give me Sekiro and Armored Core VI.
I disagree. Diablo 3 is fun, but I hate the art style and the heaven stuff. 4 is better in every way imo, notably art and music.Suspect Diablo 4 will be announced.
That said, 3 is miles better.
Doubt it, it's disabled on the Steam Deck, and the Switch 2 is basically a Steam DeckI wonder if it will have local co-op.
I mean, it's going to run on the Series S, so it most definitely is possible to run on the Switch 2.RDR2? Halo MCC? GTA V? Helldivers 2? (Would it be possible to run HD2)
Could be some big games announced.
There is a song you might have heard, it's lyrics are "Things can only get better"My first Nintendo Direct as an actual Nintendo console owner lol
Playtest was last week only on PS5 and XBOX unfortunately, so chances are pretty low.NHL would make my day. I'm not counting on it, though. I'm buying Madden on Switch in the hopes that enough people will do the same to make EA feel it's worth porting over their other games - specifically NHL.
Welcome to the crazy house. My first Nintendo Direct as an actual Nintendo console owner lol
