Nintendo Downloads - March 2016

Zonic

Gives all the fucks
I'm surprised Mario Party 3 never got ported to the VC. The original, I understand due to all the analog stick rotating.

Mario Maker is C$69.99, Mario 3D World's only $30 but it just went Nintendo Selects here, and Freedom Planet is $15 or so.

The VC games trade at par except for Wii downloads and New 3DS SNES games, which will hit me the hard way on Thursday when Earthbound launches.

Looks like Yoshi Story tomorrow

Hey, another game I can upgrade!

I would easily buy all three 3DS SNES VC titles tomorrow if there were a discount for owning them on Wii U, but at full price I'm probably going to just do DKC for now (mainly because I'd have to replay the first half of EB if I rebuy it on 3DS.)

Don't give in. Vote with your wallet

"Vote with your wallet" is such an overrated concept. You only have the choice between voting "yes" or not voting at all.

Which is a vote, unfortunately you have no way of knowing if Nintendo gets what you mean.

I put No Cross-Buy = No Buy in every Club Nintendo survey I did, my only other option, not to buy NES or SNES games on 3ds, which thus far, I've done.

Given the option I would've bought these games on 3DS only and not Wii U. If my options are to pay for the game again to have a handheld version or to not have a handheld version at all, depending on the game I'm probably going to go with paying again.

All voting with my wallet accomplishes is saving me money and me not getting to play the games the way I want to.

I suppose if enough people do it Nintendo will see the low sales and realize there's no demand for 3DS VC and stop putting them out though.

Portability is why I didn't buy much of my SNES physical library on Wii or Wii U VC. I'll buy the ones I like on 3DS VC for the portability, though.

I realized something when I was looking at the eshop earlier.

Feels like maybe Samus should be on here, somewhere? Instead of Lego?

And Donkey Kong or Yoshi should be there too.
They change the characters every week or month.

No, not voting isn't voting.

Pretty excited to pick up these SNES on 3DS games today.

Weirdly, I was browsing the eShop last night and noticed that the first 3 SNES are not in the Virtual Console folder on the eShop. Are these games considered something separate from Virtual Console? Or maybe they're not there because they're New 3DS exclusive.

So fucking excited for DKC and DKC2 today! The trilogy is among my favourite games but I never played the originals, only the butchered GBA ports which I still enjoyed a lot.

Why? Samus only has a couple of VC titles. LEGO has several releases each year, and is popular with family/kids.

Also, no eShop PR right now because HWL is taking its spot as the 9AM EST PR.

So weird there hasn't been any mention of Mini Mario & Friends amiibo Challenge in Europe at all.

Not weird, there most definitely won't be an early access campaign (probably too troublesome to set up for all EU countries, I guess).

Most likely coming out on April 28th, like NA.

My 3ds just came in time so I can pick up Earthboundd today. I cant wait for DKC2. So many happy memories with that game. I also may pick up f-zero but i never really played it as a kid.
