Gives all the fucks
You'd think for Mar10 Day today, there would've been a sale on a bunch of different Mario games.

So I had the opportunity to interview Graphite Lab about the upcoming game Hive Jump yesterday and the game is still coming along for the Wii U. I suppose the biggest news is that Hive Jump is going to be local co-op only on WIi U while the PC version will have local and online.

What's the dish on Star Ghost? Sounds good?

edit: flappy bird shoot em up. that's... interesting
As said, it controls rather like the rocket barrel stages in Retro's Donkey Kong Country games. I bought it, had a little session, and I love it. Then again, I love inertia games like Thrust or Asteroids. The risk/reward mechanics is handled well.

Also... can someone tell me if the 3D adds readability and appearance to Rune Factory 4? Screenshots look meh and I wondered if that was the sort of game that looked better in 3D.

Just got an email from Nintendo about the pricing mistake on Mega Man Legacy Collection and they're refunding my account $15. Woohoo!

That's cool! I heard the announcement that it was a mistake and waited till it was $15 before I bought the digital version.

Then I also ordered the physical collector's edition with the gold amiibo. I haven't opened it yet, but owning it does feel a bit superfluous.

Looks like Miitomo (& since it's suppose to launch the same day/shortly after, My Nintendo) are coming next Thursday, at least in Japan.

Definitely only Japan. Japan is supposed to get those first, with other regions following later in the month.

That's a bummer, I had the impression their amiibo support and Wii U focus announcement last Fall would end up leading to feature parity in that area :(

So is nintendo not matching the price for nintendo selects on the eshop??? Still showing old prices...

What region? I believe in EU the change isn't until April.

Edit: for the US it should hopefully change during the day today.

Woo, no Nintendo Selects pricing in Australia.
Keep charging $60 for games that released three years ago, yeah!

I finally bit the bullet on $7.50 Ghost Recon Shadow Wars. I already beat it back at launch, but it'll be good for another playthrough as I've forgotten the story and mechanics for the most part. It'll just have to be after Fire Emblem, Stella Glow and Project X Zone 2...

I bought two $20 eShop cards for 3DS, and I plan on buying Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Mutant Mudds Super Challenge, and Witch & Hero 2. I might buy Castlevania III too. Not sure how much Witch & Hero 2 is going to be.

That looks extremely charming. I'm looking very much forward to it. Is it a sort of Metroidvania setup or level-based? Focused on platforming more or exploration?

Thanks!
It's level based, but not so noticeable. There is not Level 1, Level 2, etc, that can be choosed. Instead you play it through the Moon Prison (we are talking about the first character here), but each new part of the prison is a different level, like the corredor of cells from the end of the video. (In the end, it feels more like an adventure, but has this platform estructured)

Then, each level has his own new unique object, that contain a secret hidden portal, where the player can connect and use the controller in a new way. On the trailer I only show 1 object with portal, which is the camera. So this level for example is introduce like this:

Even though the portals are the most interesting part of the game, because of the differents ways of using the controller, I actually dont wanna show too much about it, because it will spoil the game (some of them, the funny part is discover how to use it, so I will be ruin that part of the game). But sadly, to make sure people understand the game, I have to spoil some of them on the trailer, like the one that you saw with the camera. I decided then to only spoil 1 per character (so there are 3 characters, 2 trailers left). Some of the levels are of course a mix of the levels before. Its really extructure in the end, like todays Mario games, but again, not so noticeable.

And is a platform/puzzle, is depend a lot on the portal that you have if is more puzzle or platform.

This extructure with the portals create a game with a curve of learning process that depend on each level, and on each player... For example, testing the game I saw that people that play more, are faster in some part of the game, but people that play less, are faster in another ones.

Hopefully the game feel fresh with each level because of this estructure.

wow... that was a long answer, sorry about that XD

£49.99 for Pokken digitally, though? Fucking hell. It's £10 less than that on Amazon and that includes a Shadow Mewtwo card!

I can't see myself getting many My Nintendo coins if it is indeed only from digital purchases.

The dowload at GAME's £39.99.

I'm pretty sure store bought downloads gave Star Points when that was running but they didn't give the extra eShop goodies.

Btw, first The Legend of Dark Witch releases in Germany, Australia and New Zealand this week too.

Best news. Thank you :)

I'm also thinking of getting Phoenix Wright 5..
I never really loved the series, I'm assuming this is mostly more of the same right?

Paranautical Activity looks good and very arcade.

I hope My Nintendo is up this week.

It won't. Nintendo made it pretty clear it would launch at the same time as Miitomo in each region:

Those who create their Nintendo Account before the launch of Miitomo will also receive Platinum Points for the new My Nintendo** rewards programme, which will launch simultaneously with Miitomo.

Since Miitomo is next week (at the earliest, my money is on the last week on the month since the official launch windows is "late march").

It will launch this week in Japan, so we'll have details about the programme from there at least. Well, maybe even a proper date for the West, if we're lucky!

Next week would be perfect in Spain because it's Holy Week.

Indeed. At least, this week we'll get our first look at MyNintendo, even if from Japan. I hope we won't have to wait too long for reports to appear. I'm counting on you, Gamexplain / Nintendaan!
