Nintendo's 76th Annual General Meeting of Shareholders | June 29, 10 a.m. JST

"Hey, how will that thing that just happened on the other side of the world affect you?!"

Seriously? London's a, if not the, financial capital of the world. Global economy suffered as a result of the referendum result and will likely experience greater turbulence in the near future. This directly affects Nintendo's operations at home and abroad.

Lol an Iwata Ask question

@NStyles There was a problem with not having a president for 2 months. I want to know why that was. What will happen to [Iwata] Asks?

Considering it just caused the yen to skyrocket, it's going to affect them a lot.

:(

The fourth question is very depressing. Kimishima is basically saying they started to look into a transition of power but they didn't realize Iwata would die so quickly.

Sorry, I'm not doubting that will have an impact on them or the global economy. It just seems a little premature to expect that Nintendo already has plans worked out when the Brexit vote happened mere days ago.

Bad wording on my part.

Asking the important questions.

I'd be happy if they had the Director/Producer sit down and talk with the staff in a similar-ish manner, if nothing else.

Kimishima: Can't do an "Iwata Asks" I'm not a game designer, it'd be boring.

lol

That's a surprisingly good and straightforward answer.

And makes me miss Iwata.

Why is that anyway? I would assume yen only got stronger in comparison to the pound, what connection does Japan have that made their currency go up so quickly?

After the vote was confirmed, a lot of people decided to all sell their £ and € and buy pretty much everything else, including the Yen, thus the £ and € crashes and Yen shoots up.

And a strong currency is bad for exports, which is pretty much Nintendo's entire business.

Doesn't sounds like you're qualified to mock.

You guys need to remember that these tweets are translations of a quick summary provide by @NStyles. Nothing said is word for word.

Former President Iwata entered the hospital before passing away and directed Takeda, Miyamoto, and I at that point. However, he didn't expect to pass away so soon, so we needed time to decide upon the following organization and direction.
