More talk of films...when will we hear about this? Could it be the Wreck-It Ralph 2 and Mario rumor? Dedicated films? I hope we learn about some of these plans no later than the end of 2017.

Going by google's bad translation:
- Zelda for Wii U will be launching next year
- NX launching in March 2017 worldwide
- Fire Emblem for mobile will launch in the autumn
- plans to expand Amiibo business
- focus on My Nintendo synergy between mobile and dedicated game devices

The bolded statement means that Mobiles and NX (Dedicated Game devices) which have a focus for My Nintendo.

Zelda had better be a goddamn launch title, I tell you what. I can wait personally, but for Nintendo's sake.

Seems like they aren't making another Wii controller/ Wii U pad which was to expand their markets to casuals.
They aren't aiming for a new market anymore, so that's reassuring.

They're saying they want to to go on the Mario Rides at Universal Studios.

They want to make a Nintendo IP TV show.

This has nothing to do with console power.

"Nintendo said the Wii U would continue to fight on, but only Zelda is coming next year"

SOmething seems off about this lol, Poor Wii U will be dead after March

Zelda is only one game. Nintendo's whole fiscal year this year rests on NX. Delaying it would be a complete catastrophe for their business. It could be a literal dumpster fire and they'd still release it in March.

Yup great point, also I dont think they made an announcement to shareholders about Zelda coming like they are with the NX thats pretty big to just delay with nothing coming out to make lots of money.

This is obviously just PR, they have effectively cut production and are trying to move the last of the stock.

Somebody didn't like that Zelda response...

"Q1. I've held shares for 20 years. I want to protest the board of directors being all-male. Remember half of the market is female"

That first question is also incredibly important due to Nintendo trying to keep up the female-friendly image but failing to actually keep a great deal of the Wii and DS base which were female and integrating them fully.

Oh snap, calls for gender diversity in the directors. I know this kind of discussion is common in the US—is this also part of the cultural conversation in Japan? I wonder what the gender of the asker is.

EDIT: Wait, they don't have a computer? I hope they at least have a game system or some kind of tech in their house. Otherwise, why do they have stock in modern Nintendo?

Oh boy here we go with that first question ahahah.
Don't forget the
Also, I don't use a PC, and I'd like the opinions of those kinds of shareholders to be taken into account.
ridiculous part too.

Interesting direction to take the questions but not particularly useful. I feel that Nintendo's efforts at catering towards the female demographic are stronger than ever.

I love how people are responding to Cheese's translations on twitter. Literally why?

I think sites are reporting on him being a source of a 'live blog' of the event, without giving context that he's translating

Why is that a great first question?

Because nintendo keeps trying to give this inclusive/woman friendly view yet they don't have anyone on the board that's female. If anything it's just fantastic for them to be called out on it by an investor, no less. Makes nintendo aware how important inclusion is to making more of your audience feel welcome (and therefore potentially expand your audience). The fact that an investor said it, to their face, means that it's not just groups on the internet that want nintendo to be more inclusive of women.

(more bad google translations, take with a heap of salt)

First question seems to be about why there's no women on the Board of Directors.

Kimishima: No women on the board, but we use women in product development. The opinions of women when developing products is important. [Something about Reggie I don't understand]
