No more gift cards as rewards on Playstation Stars?

Ever since PlayStation stars went down and rebooted with the new terms, the option has not been there for me which makes the program completely useless because who the fuck wants some digital collectibles.

Maybe an error, but Phasmophobia is 2500 points ($10) which would make it half of it's normal price.

So it looks like they completely scrapped any money option for the UK, what the fuck?
I'm from the UK and it's still there

I refuse to download the app again until we can get some kind of confirmation from Sony about this issue. I'm in the US and the options were gone for me, but apparently some people are still able to get the credit.

I have a Greek PSN account, 5€ and 10€ options are still there - in fact , i redeemed a 5€ the other day and the options haven't vanished (yet).

This is yet another colossal fuck up from Sony, as per usual, the average user is completely lost when it comes to knowing the why's and how's.

Zero transparency as usual - unless this is YET another bug.

On US account and don't see 3rd row for credit exchange, just some collectible and game, not sure it it's gone for good or because i don't have enough point for 2500 reward show up (currently i have 2000 points?

I'm in the UK and that third row isn't an option on mine for wallet funds.

I always used to save mine and redeem for a £20 store credit.
Have you redeemed recently? Maybe they limit the amount you can redeem for a given period? I haven't redeemed anything for some time (probably more than 3 months now I think).

Yeah, I can't see any options available in the UK. It's pretty shit because I've used them quite regularly, and it would be nice to redeem some additional credit towards the currently discounted games.

I don't see them anymore.
I wonder if there is a system in place where they introduced a per-account ceiling to the number of discount cards you can exchange with the stars points in a certain amount of time.
Otherwise I can't explain why reports on this are completely mixed. Some people still have them and others not.
Or it's a bug?
Still it's a change that should have been documented by Sony or that the media should have bothered to ask but they're too busy with their clickbait bullshit to actually ask some real questions.

I also just saw the $5 option pop back up - it also now airs in a separate 'Wallet Funds' column (previously it was in the same column as the other rewards for me before it disappeared originally).

Uggh, fuck it, I'll download the app again and see if it came back for me. I've purchased quite a few digital games since, so I would likely have at least a $5 credit.

i am from asia and i am glad my psn wallet fund is back on my playstation stars , 1750 points to exchange $7

7500 points to exchange $30 is gone but better than nothing , at least i got some rebates back

£5 back for me too in the UK. I've just used a £5 reward to pick up Metaphor F for £39.99. I'm looking forward to getting into it properly over the weekend.

I've just managed to claim £50 worth of £5 vouchers off PS app on my phone, so it definitely still works and you can redeem multiple times

I completely forgot this thing even existed, so thanks for the reminder

You can still buy digital currency for destiny etc but agreed lost a huge amount of value.

I am seeing both $5 and $10 dollar gift card options right now. I redeemed $10 like yesterday but at that time I only had the $10 option, no $5 dollar one.

And I backtrack my statement, as the adult I am.
I was only jesting!

I thought the exact same thing when I seen this re-appear that you would only be able to redeem once and then have to spend the points on the shit games or in game currency available.

I was pleasantly surprised that they're offering this back, albeit in a kind of sneaky stealth way.

They changing the expiration date from 48 months to 24 months is the true punch in the gut. I have points to use but this is a clear way of tempting the customer to spend some more and get something with the points before expiring, which is a sly tactical change from their ToS.

Yep, $5 option is back for me as well after having no options for a month or two. Happy about it, since I normally just redeem $5 and throw the credit in my account as soon as I get enough points for it.
