Yeah this is probably because it was quite easy to get store credit and the only viable option so too many used it probably. I used it twice in a year, about 70 bucks total. 2 free games out of it.
I just redeemed 1250 points (5€), worked fine. The 2500 point/10€ option is still there as well.I didn't even claim it
Also doubt this is a bug. Sony did something similar after increasing the price of the PS+, they only granted yearly discounts to some users.
I did accept in the app and for me its gone. I used it before about a month ago, perhaps they put in a limit of one time use on it in the meantime.I just redeemed 1250 points (5€), worked fine. The 2500 point/10€ option is still there as well.
What did happen though, is that Sony recently changed their TOS regarding the service, and you'll have to accept them to continue like before. This kinda shit happens all the time, it's by far exclusive to Sony. Try going through your emails, you should have received several notifications about it. Or, try the PS Store website/PS app (good luck with the latter option).
There are some games you could trade for their digital currency like GTA or D2.So, if the psn cash is gone what the hell we suppose to use the points on, a fucking digital trinket?
To be fare I only ever earned enough for the £5 psn vouchers at a time. Now they have reduced the points to lasting 12 months I'm never gonna hit the £10 one, so might as well give up on it.There are some games you could trade for their digital currency like GTA or D2.
Here to see the mental gymnastics to justify this bullshit.
It's funny you would think that, because with only the exception of a select few posters on this board, most of the Sony fans/customers here will call out Sony on their bullshit always. They've been getting a lot of flak for the direction they went this gen with GAAS, all the fucking pointless remasters and focus on DEI bullshit in their first party titles. Sony basically has no competition in the console space now and they know it, they are leveraging that in their favor by getting rid of the perks they once offered. Unironically "arrogant Sony" is back but this time they have free reign to do whatever they please. Here to see the mental gymnastics to justify this bullshit.
Amazon is worse than everything without question. They basically silo issues by department and the customer facing org cannot do anything without contacting another department. Many departments do not respond at all so the rep you are talking with can only tell you that you will get a response in 48 hours but that doesn't happen. You can try again and again and again, but you will get the same nothing result.Amazon sometimes is even worse and the worst is Media Markt Saturn in my country. Sent them a long e-mail with every information needed and got an answer days later that was like "Me: What time is it please? They: Hey, great that you like the colour green". They obviously didn't even read the mail.
Well there it is.gif
Looks like it's being gradually rolled out regionally. Those who still have the option, probably a good time to utilize it before it disappears.

I said it above, I just redeemed $50 today from the Stars thing. I never knew it even existed or how I had 13,000 points.Even though they are probably right, support probably doesn't know anything about this.
Based on this thread, I think you are right about regionally. Seems like people mention pounds are able to redeem still. I'm guessing no one in the US has the option anymore (mine is gone).
US here and I was able to redeem today. The $20 option is gone, but I can do $5 and $10.Even though they are probably right, support probably doesn't know anything about this.

I did the $10 option 5 times. I didn’t see any other options.I've never even seen a $50 option, I think $20 was my maximum option at 5,000 points. I did a redemption a few weeks back and saw none when I checked yesterday. Can you see if you still have wallet fund options after your redemption?

Prior to the $10 one, they only had $5 and $20 increments. Seems the $5 and $20 are gone, and it only has $10 now.Nice. Where the fuck did the £5 option go though?
Same. Could not care less about the digital collectors items. The only reason I used it was for the wallet cards. Without those I'll never look at it again.
Its like Disney and other studios burning money on failed projects. Gotta make it up somewere else and it causes everyone to suffer.Xbox still has giftcard rewards. Last month, by simply playing GamePass games and logging in to the app, I earned 3 2€ vouchers.
This made GP Ultimate a steal with the 6€ discount. Sony is becoming more and more greedy.
Same. Could not care less about the digital collectors items.
All those MS L's GAF has spent the last 3 years celebrating? This is the result.Yep its gone for me too. Well, time to delete the app. Sony has really just turned to shit this gen.
You have a seperate app?Yep its gone for me too. Well, time to delete the app. Sony has really just turned to shit this gen.
Same, though it's only the $10 one now instead of $5 and $20. As long as I can keep cashing them in, it's whatever to me. Already got a free $50 out of itYou have a seperate app?
Mines tied into the PSN one.
Still works for me there.
Stars isn’t related to PS+Well now PS+ is completely worthless. I wont be renewing when mine expires this Spring, that’s for sure.
They are:Stars isn’t related to PS+
Yes, I was using the same app as you.You have a seperate app?

I got 700 points for buying Black Ops 6.They are:
“PlayStation Plus members who also join PlayStation Stars will earn Points with every Eligible Purchase made on PlayStation®Store. The Points you earn can be redeemed in your Rewards Catalog for available”
If you had PS+ and redeemed your points for store credit, it was like getting 4% cashback on every PS store purchase.
