No More Heroes: Travis Strikes Again revealed (Switch, UE4)

Im leaning towards it having NMH gameplay in the worlds of said indy titles they collaborate with. Its not like they are getting each develop to help with each "games" gameplay. That would e really unrealistic to pull off.

NMH games always have some 2D sections, he's prob just gonna go into those in some parts of the game.

This game is developed in Unreal 4, its def a real NMH's game

Why would they need Unreal 4 if it was just minigames lmao people.

Yeah, it could be an indie game remix collection still, but there is at least an overworld tying it together if they're licensing UE4. You wouldn't bother if it was just for cutscenes.

That trailer was dope. I think playing as Travis through a gauntlet of differently styled games sounds really cool and unique. Kind of sounds like an indie greatest hits or a tribute to great indies.

Edit: Those saying UE4 likely means a traditional NMH game have a strong argument there

Yo, what other indie studios are they collaborating with? I want an Inside world, a Shovel Knight world, and a bunch others. Really looking forward to what we get.

For now only Hotline Miami seems to be confirmed as it's the one he was currently playing.

"Just like the original cult classic, players will have to battle through multiple punk-rock levels and defeat over-the-top bosses"

It's a beat'em all, stop guys.

No Robin Atkin Downes? The voice sounds so wrong?

Who is "Charlotte"? The picture looks like
Jeane
bur it couldn't be her?

Hoping for Shinobu and Henry to appear and be playable. And with their voices.

The console Travis was playing on and gets sucked in by is "Death Drive Mk2".

That's a call back to Let It Die, since the game itself was a game within a game called Death Drive 128.

That's a really neat touch.

And I wouldn't lose sleep over this game not being a No More Heroes-sized experience. Let It Die proved that Grasshopper are no slouches when putting out more of an "indie" title. No More Heroes' story ended with the second one, so a unique premise like this is far more interesting.

The fact that they announced this on an indie direct.

Is this a full AAA title?

It's being published by Marvelous which is notable since Grasshopper are owned by GungHo now. It looks to me like any other larger budgeted Grasshopper title, No More Heroes included.

It was probably announced for the indie conference because it's main gimmick has to do with indie games.

Is this essentially NMH 3 or a spinoff?

Would love to see the rest of the series on the Switch alongside it, which we'll probably get, considering they've made a NMH 10th anniversary emblem to stamp on the boxes.

Yeah, with whatever budget LiD had they did a REALLY good job. I'm in Day 1.

dont get your hopes up. it doesnt look like its going to be a full sequel or have the same gameplay as the first one, especially since this is going indie

Also the console Travis is playing on is the console from Let It Die. Theres no way this is minigames or reskins of indie games, you will be playing NMH in level sets

The fear is that Travis traveling through 6 indie games means you'll actually be playing versions of those games with Travis thrown in instead of NMH style gameplay based off of those games.

Mixing up the gameplay wouldn't be a bad thing for NMH. It's gameplay for 1 and 2 are fine but do get repetitive after you do a wrestling move for the hundredth time

Wrong, they said it will be in the same vein as the first one. Where the fuck does this misinformation comes from ?

To me this sounds like traditional nmh gameplay only this time the levels are in the worlds of other indie games. If that is the case it sounds awesome, imagine being in the world of hotline miami from the perspective of Travis Touchdown and have it play like nmh 1 and 2. Could be really really cool.

you completely misread the trailer

From PR:
Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes from Suda51 and Grasshopper Manufacture: Seven years have passed since the events of No More Heroes, and The Bad is determined to exact his revenge on Travis Touchdown. Just like the original cult classic, players will have to battle through multiple punk-rock levels and defeat over-the-top bosses. Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes launches exclusively for Nintendo Switch in 2018. More details about the game will be revealed in the future.

Doesn't sound like mini games to me

The dude on the nindies video said something about playing through 6 games on that made up console? Is this some sort of mini game collection? I hope you also play outside the game world.

There it is guys, stop worrying.

I have no idea what this is but seeing NMH and Hotline Miami together in any capacity is awesome.

Travis on a toilet amiibo?
