Wow, what a couple of days...
First: DAMMIT BULLS!!! WTF WAS UP WITH THAT CHOKE-JOB!!!!! :-( That's it, I want Miami to sweep! The Bulls had a helluva season and I'm excited about next year, but DAMN, did they have to out like that? :-(
Next, the Pacers just destroyed Boston in Boston! :lol And Pierce is just a dumbass. Complete dumbass. I'm glad he and that bitch Peyton are out of the playoffs.

Maybe I'm not making myself clear enough. I'm actually complimenting T-Mac. He has killed the Mavs the whole series, put on 10-0 runs against the Mavs by himself. I just don't understand why Gundy (or T-Mac for not demanding to be in the game) would choose to sit him when the game was still reasonably within reach. That's all I'm saying.

It's no one on the Rocket's fault, really. McGrady was awesome for 5 games (and was pretty good the other two, too), Yao was absolutely dominant most of the time, and the supporting cast played about as well as you can expect from a unit lead by Bob Sura and Mike James. The truth is that it is was very evident that Dallas was MUCH more talented, especially in the backcourt. They had seven of the nine best players in the series, and the backcourt unit of Terry/Stackhouse/Finley/Howard was just so much better than Houston's.
Once Dallas actually learned how to take advantage of mistmatches (like when Mutumbo on Howard or Padgett on Terry etc.) and Avery Johnson learned how to coach, the series was over.

Maybe I overstated it a little bit, but he definetly had three monster games of 30+ points (two of which he only took 13 shots). He has gotten way too much flack for his plays recently. Everyone talks about his defensive deficiencies, but the reason for those is that the Rockets put him in really bad defensive situations on almost every play. When you allow dibble penetration on ever posession, you're gonna make your center look bad, no matter who he is. It's similar to how the Lakers always used to make Shaq look bad when they had Fisher/Fox playing the other team's wing players. At the end of the day, 21/8/3 (points, rebounds, blocks) on 65% shooting is pretty good.

In the games the Rockets won, T-Mac played like Jordan 2.0 for 48 mins while the bench gave them 35+ pts. Rockets pretty much had to play perfect basketball to beat the Mavs. Mavs just had too much speed and fire power in the end, and Game 7 proved it. I dont blame anyone on the Rockets now, I just realized the Rockets were not the better team. Doug Collins said it best, Game 7 showed what the Rockets need to add to get to the next level in the playoffs...speed. It was just sad seeing Padgett, Sura or Wesley try to guard Terry or Stackhouse, they would just get burned right away.
You can't ask more from T-Mac then what he gave them in the 7 games, averged 31 pts, 7 rebounds, 7 assists, 1.5 steals, 1.5 blocks and shut down Dirk for 7 games. I was pissed off at T-Mac's 4th quarters in Game 3-4 where the Rockets blew 4th quarter leads while he didn't take shots, instead tried to get his teammates shots. I was also mad at his shot selection in the first quarter of Game 7, but when you lose by 40 pts...shit, I'm not going to blame anyone on the Rockets. They tried their hardest to out last the quicker and younger Mavs, and they just couldn't do it for a full series.
There, I'm done talking about the series. Let's move on! I don't feel like pulling a Laker fan move and talking about a team thats not in the playoffs anymore.
