it's all about availability. Had Saha worked out/not been constantly injured you would have played a different system.

It's not a coincidence you want to buy Berbatov.

And yes, it did work out. Because you have a midfielder that scores your goals and is making it work.

Our donkey scored 24 goals, Rooney and Tevez together scored 26.

Our forwards assited 20, yours a pitiful 6. Our forwards create as well as score.

Okay lets take out eachothers top goal-threat Adebayor and ours Ronaldo.

Your strikeforce now has 6 goals and 3 assists ours has 26 goals and 20 assists.

VICTOLY!

CAS ruled today that Diego, Rafinha, Messi, Kompany and all others have to come back to their clubs if they demand it. Basically they told FIFA to fuck themselves :lol

Bojinov is better than Benjani?
I'm my warped imagination, yes. (Remember, he played less games than the Perse last season due to injury, which is a serious accomplishment.)

Also the transfer fee for Benjani balloons significantly if he plays a certain number of matches so I imagine we will be seeing less of him this year what with Frank panhandling on the streets of Calcutta. (It doesn't hurt that he wasn't particularly prolific with City last season... not that anyone on the team was during the second half of the schedule.)

how many of those assists were finished by Ronaldo?

btw, one half of our 2 strikers was out for 2/3 of last season and this half has shown that he can give an assist in about every 2.5 games. That would be 14 assists from one player alone in 35 games :O

Imagine that. We have a striker that can give assists. How amazing.

What? You remove one of Man U's midfielders leaving 2 forwards and one of Arsenal's forwards leaving? I'm not even sure.... Surely you could have atleast given us Fabregas in that little equation seeing as you are including Ronaldo. lol

No, you have been deceived by Blatter and Fifa, who dont even know their own rules to begin with.
The Olympics are not in the official FIFA Int. Calendar, therefore clubs are not obligated to hand their players to the national teams.
Also, there were more teams involved in the appeal.

The appeal was initiated by Werder Bremen as far as I know. I think it's the right decision to make by CAS.

Rooney and Tevez were never injured last season, not once. (thats sarcastic btw americans)

Our forwards numbers are better than yours, fact.

(26+20) >>> (31+6)

Therefore are better as we have better number.

Doesn't that sound ludicrous? Yes, because it's an idiotic question which turns into a slanging match which nothing is decided.

Forwards do different jobs, we have a system that is different, ours aren't there just to score, they're to provide goals for the team just as much. Ferguson said next season that Rooney was played out of position and was sacrificing his talent for the team and as such will be used as a no.10, we'll see how many more goals he gets next season and Tevez has looked as good as I've seen him in pre-season.

If your forwards really are the best in the league (which I have proved that they are not) then the rest of your team must be pretty awful to only finish 3rd and reach the quarter finals in the FA Cup and Champions League.

Also you bring out Ronaldo as though it was a bad thing we have the best player in the world and that somehow what he does doesn't count, you're more reliant on Adebayor than we are on Ronaldo, Rooney or Tevez.

I too think it was the right decision. It was fucking annoying how the Argentine Federation were claiming that Messi would make whatever they wanted and Barça had no saying in the matter. I find it extremely abusive, FIFA and the AFA just want to make money out of his appearance in the Olympics while the club still pays his monthly salary and has to risk its best player who is,coincidently, injury prone.
Still, if he wants to be at the Olympics we should let him, but it has to be clear that he's there because we are letting him, not because we're obligated by some corrupt oldfart named Blatter.

That's what she's wearing in game by the way.
Who is that?

I'd say

1. Drogba - Anelka
2. Torres - Keane
3. Van Persie - Adebayor
4. Rooney - Tevez
5. Berbatov - Bent
If Drogba doesn't turn into a whiney ass bitch and Anelka keeps his pre-season form, watch the fuck out EPL.

It's getting better and better.

FIFA is fucked now. All Bundesliga clubs who are involved (Hertha BSC, Werder Bremen, Hamburg, Schalke, Hoffenheim etc) have worked together on a solution. They want FIFA and the FA's of the respective player's country to pay their wages, they want them to get insurances for all players and they want to get additional money for letting their players participate.

Now the great thing about this is that Blatter screwed up royally by appealing to the Olympic spirit. Now he has to agree to these conditions or he is the one who is at fault if these players can't take part in the Olympics.

Of course he won't accept the conditions and his Olympic spirit crap will disappear into hot air.

First of all, you can't just go and say it doesn't matter if one player played 15 games and another played 30.

Secondly, you know that Van Persie's assist statistic the season before last was 7 in 18 starts, which is more than one in 3 - better than both of your assist queens.

It was a simple question I asked, and an innocent one too. You haven't proved a thing, all you're doing is going all defensive for no bloody reason. I appreciate your desire to argue about everything, but for once it would be nice if we could just discuss things in a more open fashion.

Whats the measure of being 'better' if it is stats then we seem to beat you on that

I'd like you to comment on this , you seem to ignore it ( I can't imagine why )

20 + 26 >>> 31+6

46 >>> 37

Is this proof for your simple question?

You say V.Persie is injured, so was Rooney he broke a metatarsal and did his hip in and had numerous groin strains and Tevez didn't have an injury-free season either.

Had's original post was biased, undoubtedly. He put RVP and Adebayor up top which most people here would disagree with. Even some Arsenal fans I would think.

But, instead of responding maturely and saying "I disagree. Rooney and Tevez have done great together and not only did they score enough goals themselves, they assisted quite a bit too. It also happened to be enough to win the CL and EPL." You take the other route and criticize his post in general and respond with the sarcasm and bitterness that you always use and what everyone here hates you for.

This is a forum. It's here to discuss things, not to sit and look at a blank screen all day. When someone posts something don't be an immature little prick and come back with your shit attitude and shoot everyone down immediately. If you have something intelligent to say, by all means, say it. And tbh, sometimes you make good points. But, it's in your delivery that puts people off.

the thread was better when you weren't active in it last season and it was better last week when you stopped posting. Change your fucking attitude or leave. If you decide not to do either your posts will go unread anyway and you'll be wasting your time because in no time you're going to be on everyone's ignore list.

I don't know how old you are but you have alot ot learn and alot of growing up to do.

The papers said it, I didn't believe it, but Official Site confirms its true. We've PAID LJUNGBERG TO FUCK OFF

Statement on Fredrik Ljungberg
The club has parted company with the 31-year-old midfielder Fredrik Ljungberg
06.08.2008
SendSend PrintPrint RssRSS

West Ham United and Fredrik Ljungberg have reached agreement about the termination of his contract on undisclosed terms with immediate effect.

The 31-year-old midfielder, who captained Sweden at the 2008 European Championship, is assessing his options. These include whether he will continue his career in football or not. There is interest in his services from leading clubs at home and on the continent as well as the United States and Asia. The decision to part company has been taken jointly and has no bearing on Ljungberg's fitness, which he proved during Euro 2008.

Scott Duxbury, West Ham United CEO, said: "We respect Freddie Ljungberg's position and are pleased we could reach agreement and wish him all the best in the future. This deal is mutually acceptable to both parties."

Freddie Ljungberg said: "I gave my all at West Ham and enjoyed my time there but the decision is the best for the both of us. Now I will take my time to consider my football future."

Papers said we paid him £6 million! Which, with his £85k a week wage means he's earn't £500,000 a game for us.

What was Eggy thinking.

I think it's purely because he's costing us way too much money. He was average in the games he did play last season. He wouldn't get in our first team this year, paying a reserve £85k a week would have been a fucking disgrace (not that it wasn't already).

I love how he left Arsenal too, criticizing Wenger and the club's ambition. Now look at him. All washed up, lol.

I wish we could have a midfield that contributed as much as Freddie and Pires. Those guys scored more than some prem strikers...double digits most seasons.

Plus Freddie's trademark late runs were orgasmic(Post masturbating smiley here)

And for all you Arsenal fans, this was FC Twente's lineup in the friendly match against Ankaraspor:

Boschker, Wilkshire, Wielaert, Douglas, Braafheid (84' Heubach); Tioté, Brama (70' Wellenberg), Janssen; Denneboom, Arnautovic, Elia (70' Huysegems)

It's basically a classic 4-3-3, and the lineup against Arsenal will resemble it. if you guys have any more questions about Twente, let me know.
Thanks, Falch. Are you going to do a Eredivisie preview for this season? It'd be cool to get one for every league if people are up for it. Get blaburn/falch to do the Bundesliga, etc...

It was biased, I don't know what he was trying to get out of it, he clearly wasn't interested in what I thought. When I posted statistical evidence to back up my claim it was largely ignored and was responded too generally in a negative way. I, perhaps wrongly, feel insulted, maybe thats the wrong word, perhaps aggravated, when he suggests that our forwards are only successful because of Ronaldo as it is far from the truth. This coupled with ignoring of basic facts and narrow mindedness proves correct my assumption that this is down to team-bias and any results that you get from this question will largely be unreliable.

Maybe I was too strong, but when arguing over the internet and people are ignoring your point the only way I feel to get my point across is via strong verbal stimulus, it is nothing personal per se, however it works. My sarcasm and bitterness is perhaps due to being a Manchester United supporter, I am here, alone. It really is me versus the rest and due to our success we have become and easy target for rival supporters, I wouldn't be a true supporter if I did not stick up for my team and let stuff slide, or just turn a blind eye. As I am here largely unbacked-up perhaps due to fear or not wanting to get ganged up on, I have to use whatever verbal tools I can, sarcasm not only gets my point across but often shows the stupidity of some comments by others.

It is all very well to talk how you suggest, but then, hadareud hardly plays by the same rulebook, and if I did then I too would be an easy target. I also can't believe that you are suggesting that we all talk like this. We don't all use the same diction, we aren't the same person, why should we be expected to talk the same, it would just play into the hand of those who are on the bandwagon against me.

1. you aren't the only United supporter here. MrPing, Psycho_snake, and a few others as well. Boo hoo, you won EPL and CL this year and people are jealous. You must have it so rough.

2. everyone gets along fine here...except you.

Aside from you, Cedeo, there is not one person in this thread who I argue with so vehemently. kaizoku was tough to get along with at times, but when it came down to it he wasn't a bad guy. He loved his team, but he also knew when enough was enough. At one point he also put our differences aside and gave me some much needed help with some xml stuff.

you on the other hand, continue to badger and pick fights with everyone and try to make yourself seem like the victim, which couldn't be any further from the truth. You think you're some kind of tough guy around here. You said it yourself. When I asked a few days ago why you came back to the thread, you said something like "to set people straight" or some e-thug type comment.

hadareud hates United, you hate Arsenal. That was evident in his post. But, like I said, you refuse to engage in intelligent conversation and that's why no one likes you. We don't dislike you for being a United supporter. We dislike you for your personality.

now, I know you are going to need to get the last word in, but I won't respond because the quality of the thread has seriously gone down since you've arrived and I don't want to muck it up anymore.
