yeh shame the thread died, i used to lurk it for a long time, before all the bannings put an end to the discussions.

losing or not, you guys have looked terrible so far. do you guys have any more friendlies to tune up the formation and squad before the start of the season?

but yeah, I guess Milan can relax since they play in a shitty league

Benfica, Inter+Juve, Juventus, the league start, Real Madrid (friendly) and the Derby.

Doesn't matter what you think about the league;)

I'll see you on the other side.

Why are you 2 bastards arguing out here? It's like 2 roommates arguing out in the rain while home is just a few steps away. Go inside and continue there!

I know is a little off-topic, but I'm trying to find this t-shirt :

Anyone knows any online store with shirts from "old" seasons?

Thanks

Off to Old Trafford tomorrow to see United - Valencia. Should be fun. I predict 2-1 (Berbatov, Owen - random Valencia player)

Well, at least now they can buy [INSERT UNLIKELY TRANSFER TARGET HERE].

Well from what i've just heard today a takeover deal of Liverpool has basically been completed but is still unannounced. I don't really know the details, other than that it's for 80% of the club, with Hicks keeping 20%. So now those transfer targets aren't so unlikely

Dismiss it is a rumour if you want; i heard it from a pretty reliable source.

Anyway, i'm pretty glad Alonso is gone, since it sounds like we got a really good deal for him.

Looks like Hull City picked up US forward Altidore on a season loan. Nice! Looks like I'll be a Hull City fan for the year. How bad do they suck?

Pretty bad, they play boring, negative football - the epitome of a northern team if ever there was one. Plus, their manager Phil Brown is quite possibly the most odious little cunt currently employed as a Premiership manager.

Follow West Ham, we play attacking, positive football - our fans will stand for no less (although it rarely gets us anywhere) and our manager is one of the most beloved Premiership players, a true gentleman. Plus, we have Jonathan Spector playing for us :D

So I guess it's the Hull City/West Ham/Fulham trifecta :lol

looks like we are getting Sanderos.
good or bad gaf decides

I say good.

Who do you support? I've always liked Senderos: Not the most consistent player, but definitely a top-tier defender.

Sunderland signed Bent, finally, and Huntelaar has joined Milan. Good moves by both teams. I can see either player thriving on those teams. Bent/Jones seems like it could be an awesome striking tandem.

Rangers are a decent footballing side to be honest. If they were in the EPL they'd be fighting for 5th/6th position
Rangers/Celtic are Championship sides/lower Prem at best.

anyone watch the superliga championship? chicago fire lost in penalty kicks. so mexico wins the gold cup and now superliga... we should invade.

Just got back from Old Trafford. The traffic on the M6 was ridiculous. Hence why it's 3.30 in the morning.

Will post thoughts after some sleep.

Barcelona vs an MLS expansion team, why would they schedule that?

its just a friendly, supposed to promote the game in general. and man seattle has a crazy fanbase. the stadium is full, but it looks like mostly sounders fans. here in LA over the weekend at the rosebowl, 75% of the sell out crowd were barcelona fans

Huzzah for basic cable--Setanta North America is in talks to sublicense the early Saturday and Monday Barclay's Premier League games to ESPN. They would air on ESPN 2, hopefully in HD.
