Inter are playing Sevilla right now. Crespo tried to scissor kick a goal 1 on 1 with the keeper but the ball came right at his knees and he kind of just flopped over.

God, I dream of a Football Manager 2009, where you watch the games using the FIFA 09 engine.

What if... EA had bought Sigames insteaf of Sega when they left Eidos. Oh man...

Answer: a shitty FM series probably, but still

I remember the Ultimate Soccer Manager 98' match engine in 3D (but crappy graphics), it looked great. As long as the ball move realistically and the player moves ok, it looks great, it doesn't have to have the best textures around. They should have the physics system already you would think in the 2D engine.

Pruttons Quotes in Historical Order:

18.07.07 On Derry: "He's not the best looking fella in the team is he?

16.08.07 On Being in the North: "Its Rain, Its Cold, Its not like Southampton... NO... I love it!"

16.08.07 On hopes for the upcoming game: ""A win, obviously. Six goals for me. And a cracking shag at night."

27.10.07 On Douglas, interviewer on Douglas goal "...there's a phrase about busses, that might be relevant..", Prutts "Absolutely... he's got a face like a bus"

10.12.07 On not conceeding for two games and Wise's probable view on this: "He's a big fan of clean sheets... so's his missus".

20.12.07 On his outlook for the new year: "If we all pull together and love each other, then the future's a rosy place to go to."

10.03.08 On his hair "Its time for a bit of length to come back in."

Crespo is playing like an arse. Missed an open net and is misskicking simple passes.

BTW liverpool team v lazio: Reina, Arbeloa, Dossena, Carragher, Agger, Alonso, Plessis, Kuyt, Benayoun, Torres, Keane.

Subs: Cavalieri, Hyypia, Finnan, Voronin, Pennant, Insua, Ngog, Spearing, Nemeth, El Zhar.

Guys I need a scout report on Ruben De La Red, stat.

Villa have just placed a bid for him.

Arsenal were looking at him too. Apparently he's pretty good. I haven;t seen to much of him though. He's a DCM.

It is Liverpools year after all

De La Red is a quality central midfielder, capable of playing either defensively or offensively, although I assume he would play as a 'flat' midfielder at Villa, perhaps part of a central three? He's a great passer of the ball and has a decent engine on him so shouldn't have too many problems adapting to the Premier League should that move materialise.

horrible display by us, especially defensively.

We've been solid all pre-season, Toure and Gallas play together for the first time and we're all over the fucking place. It doesn't work Arsene - you can only play one or the other, together it won't work.

Hopefully we'll something more going forward too second half. Adebayor missed two sitters and Van Persie concentrated most on fouling the opposition and being pissed off. Theo looks improved but still loses the ball too often. Eboue, well, we might as well play with 10 players, he's useless.

Worrying so far, not filling me with confidence for wednesday.

............It's Toure's first game back after being ill. :-/ Seriously you have to give a player time after such a long time without a match.

You're exagerating on Eboue.

Van Persie hasn't looked his normal self all preseason.

Adebayor needs to find his shooting boots again.

Toure hasn't looked himself ever since he went to the African Cup of Nations, and even before that - him and Gallas together never worked. Kolo is brilliant, I love him, but he needs somebody to lead the way for him, and Gallas can't do that.

Van Persie looked good against Real, he's also shown some neat touches today, I don't worry about him. He just doesn't like Ajax and it's getting the better of him. Adebayor needs a goal desperately, hopefully he'll get one second half.

Eboue is a far cry from the player he was when we went to the Champions League final, he doesn't get much right. One good shot though, which surprised me.

we've looked good in pre-season up until this. It's a slip up. Better now than during the season.

I agree with how he was when he returned from ACN, but, before that he was fine imo. Him and Gallas were forming a good partnership. He needed the games earlier in preseason to get things working again. If it doesn't start working soon though Senderos will take his place. He's one of my favouate players though so it would be hard to see.

Van persie looked ok against Real, but, no where near what he can play like.

Eboue definantly was the better player a few seasons ago, but, he's learning a new position. It's not the easiest thing. I still see potential in him on the win as he makes a lot of penetrating runs through the defence, if he would make the right decisions at the end he would be awesome. lol

Wow, beef between Walcott and Van Persie, break him Walcott! :lol

That was lovely control from him though, shame about the end product.

[EDIT] Could have been a leg breaker by Fabregas, calm down it's a friendly!

Walcott and Van Persie still at it...... Walcott really should have passed though. lol

Yeah that was pretty stupid by Fabre. Needs to calm down.

why are we trying to play everything into the area in the air? Keep it on the fucking ground. that's our game.

Nice goal, first time I've seen Eboue do something useful!

Arsenal strikers look like they've never played a game with each other though, hope that kind of play continues :D

Every half agressive challenge by Arsenal = foul no matter what. >.>

they're playing in the land of the van Persie. Who knows what kind of strange injuries players get over there from the most minimal contact.
