Keane has been high on him for a while... not really surprising. Wish him all the best, was my favorite Blue as long as he was a Blue.

But... but... don't you see...? This means... this means... Vassell will be our right midfielder all season long, mark my words.

For some reason the Vassell hate isn't exactly as big now as it was _during_ last season, but still - Ireland will only be getting better over the seasons.

Basically there's just a glut at midfield and they have to sell to fix it. Ireland is an AMF and he will be blocked by Elano (more consistent... and that's saying a lot about Stevie) and Johnson (can play better defense) in that area of the field, which means the only place there is is to play him out of position on the right wing, which prevents playing Etuhu (or someday Weiss).

Besides we all know Vassell is going to be lining up at striker while Jo warms the bench this season! :(

As long Vassell is there with the Boj, I'm happy.
I still haven't seen anything special with Johnson, he's good but I'd take 10 mil any day. Every store of him makes him look like an asshole (being a dick in bars and such), and he seems a little bit like a diva.

I agree 100%. Even if he's wretchedly inconsistent, I've seen what Ireland is actually capable of. Johnson gets called Colin Bell right and left for doing jack and shit. I'd take an 8 figure sale of him any day over a 7 figure sale of Ireland.

Does anyone have a link to the goal where Vassell scuffed it with his foot and it luckily went in yet he still celebrates like it's the best goal the world has seen.

Just spent the bulk of the 1st half trying to get a stream running, and when i did eventually get one and i saw the Setanta 1 logo in the top corner.... just turned my tv over. Dangit. :lol

I don't like how the commentary are saying that they've been trying to find out why Petrov isn't playing, but everyone says "speak to the boss" like something's fishy going on.

Also, no other source has yet reported that Ireland is gone - and he's sitting on the bench apparently.

yeah, Inler or Cana plz. Also, I think we could do with another CB. That is, unless Gallas and Toure can iron out the problems.
