By week 4 of preseason you have to be at 53. I think Levious touched on that. So if you can cut down to 53 now, i would do it. Cut players without bonus. No cap penalty.

I'm not currently at home so I had to do it this way so the CPU doesn't cut people that I don't want cut.

It does online too.

What you get on the xbox that you don't on the site is the ability to look at players contract details. I think if you click on players and ask for more detail.

It tells you all of that but only after you actually cut them. When you cut them it brings up a pop up that says you freed up x amount of cap room, or whatever the penalty is. You only have the option of clicking OK, no way to cancel.

I definitely didn't get that message prior to releasing players online. It only told me the cap information after release.
