Shero the Hero will fix whatever is presently ailing the Penguins. I hope we'll be able to get by with fill-in wingers again; as long as the work ethic and team play returns, we should be able to make a decent run in the playoffs.

Should of figured, Marvie being Marvie, can't stop messing with my head can you. But I could of sworn his comments were influenced by you somehow. :lol

OMG I see nothing has changed in the NHL :lol :lol :lol :lol

Wings getting screwed over by phantom goalie interference calls again :lol :lol :lol

One last Olympics related thing I wanted to get off my chest:

Hiller had one of the nicest goalie helmets I've ever seen.

and the Wings haven't either, another 2 goal lead blown, and Howard still needs to work on his five hole.

'cept it should have been a 3-goal lead. just the way this season has gone, and it seem it will continue like that.

Came here to post this. :lol

WASHINGTON (AP)—President Barack Obama owes his Canadian counterpart a case of beer.

Obama made the friendly wager with Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper before Sunday’s U.S.-Canada gold medal game. Canada beat the United States 3-2 on Sidney Crosby’s overtime goal.

White House spokesman Robert Gibbs said President Barack Obama had a case of Yuengling, a Pennsylvania regional brew, riding on the game. Harper wagered 24 bottles of Molson. The beer battle pitted Canada’s oldest brewery against the oldest beer maker in the United States. Molson Canada is now a subsidiary of Molson Coors Brewing Co., a marriage of Molson and Denver-based Coors.

There was no word on where the cross-border exchange would occur.

Great pics from a Pens fan who was working at the Olympics. Sid was the only player who didn't want him touching his medal. :lol @ the Toews pic:

I'm honestly not sure if he knows how to smile.

Edit: On second look, I think he's completely shitfaced. :lol

WOW at the Howe, Gretzky & Lemiuex photo. Never seen that before.

edit: Franzen is BEAST.

P.S. I'm liking the Leopold deal right now. The Pens are missing an "assignment" dman, and Leopold seems to fit the deal. He has also apparently had success going head-to-head with Ovechkin, and I am sure that factored into Shero's decision. He can't do worse than Hal Gill!

Shero also pseudo-called out Talbot and Fedotenko. "I'm sure the Talbots and Fedotenkos have more to give us, based on the their track record, and that bodes well for us."

Even when he's being negative, he's a positive dude. I love you, Ray. I also hope he is right.

So, who do the Pens give up for Ponikarovsky, Stillman, or Whitney?

Crosby or Malkin, it's only a fair deal.

Anderson is a better diver than Osgood.
I don't know why we can't get the same kind of officiating in the NHL as we had in the Olympic final. That was the best reffed game I've seen in a loooooooong time.
This game we already have two TERRIBAD calls. One of them completely changed the face of the game.

Leopold will not stop AO. Shero will probably trade Goligoski or Letang for a winger.

You can't stop him, but you can limit him. I'm sure Shero did his homework.

I would be sad to see either Gogo or Letang leave, but we do have 8 dmen right now, which is far too many. We also have Lovejoy waiting in the wings; maybe we can trade him for a winger? :p Probably not, considering the cap situation. We're riiiight about there with Leopold now.

Marvie's avatar :lol

Leopold is a depth d-man. Not physical, useful on the PK, decent at moving the puck. He is far from a shut-down guy. 5th or 6th d-man.

Talbot texted Orpik after the Canada/US game to support him, and Orpik replied with "Might as well win another Cup, right?" Talbot also recently got a puppy and named him Stanley. I love this team.

I'm cautiously optimistic about the Pens' stretch drive. It should be interesting to say the least. This is the part of the season where they usually turn it on, so I hope that old habit will continue.

Insanely beautiful. Unreal set-up by Datsyuk. He's had a sick game, glad he saved his best for the stretch-run and not the Olympics.

It feels good to watch NHL games again. I love international competitions, but I think I actually prefer the NHL.

is it too late to make a trade to get Scuds back? :( damn I miss that guy

still feeling a little shaky about our defensive core, but I guess if we can pick up a solid winger or two might help take some pressure off of the D.

How's Staal's goldfish named "Jaws" doing?

Doing good, man. He got him a new tank last week, and is thinking of buying a female partner named Clara, after Clara Hughes. What a good ol' Canadian boy.

MIA, and rightfully so with that, but he does need to get his game together big time for the money we are paying him.
