Btw, for those with a Mac, people using Virtual PC have no problem running this...
tedtropy said:Amazing. The PSP US homebrew scene makes a pretty incredible step forward...and people bitch, as though the 'swap trick' is new to anyone that's dabbled in console exploits. Yeah, the guys releasing this should've been a little more clear in its nature, but it's a definite advancement and it's free. If you were expecting a spot-on SNES emulator the moment you bought your PSP, naturally, you're going to be a little disapointed.

Dazzla said:The SNES emu works if you do it the manual way. Keep the eboot.pbp it created for MS 1.
Download PBP Unpacker, open the original downloaded eboot.pbp and extract the "data.psp", rename it to eboot.psp and stick it on MS 2.
SNES now works fine![]()
Con el segundo metodo SI funciona el de SNES. 100% Garantizado. Usad el segundo metodo hasta que saquemos update del programa.

dark10x said:Seriously. That's how most people use homebrew on their DC (swapping) and most didn't have a problem with it. Hell, I've used the Saturn swap trick for years. Do you know how difficult that was to get right initially? It's easy now, but still requires perfect timing with multiple swaps.
What I want to know is whether or not you have to swap everytime you start the app? That is, if you launch the emu, then return to the home menu, will you have to swap again? What about if you use sleep mode? Will playing a UMD game mess it up as well? Do these emulators allow you to bring up a menu to switch roms during operation? If you have to swap TOO often, I doubt I'll use it much, as it seems like it could damage the memory stick slot after heavy usage (or at least wear it out).
I wish that I had known about this swap before coming to work, as I never expected that I would need to bring the 32mb stick along with me...

dark10x said:I'm going to assume that the swap trick could cause problems with your memory stick. I doubt it would actually fail, from a hardware standpoint, but you could damage the data on there and need to reload everything. You always run that risk when swapping such hardware during access.
Also, did anyone try the various startup situations? Do you need to swap everything you return to the home screen?
suikodan said:I have a few questions:
1- SNES emu: Fast? Sound? Fullscreen?
2- Can the swap trick harm the PSP or it does it just like switching CDs in FF7?
3- Anyone tried putting their PSP to sleep while playing an emu? Does it work ok?
