I find it hilarious that JGar's been in Oakland and Philly, for a total of like a week a piece. That's embarrassing. Is he like performing terribly at practice or something? JRuss beat him out for a starting position and washed up Michael Vick is also more valuable to the eagles than JGar. Poor guy.

DET @ CHI Believe
CIN @ CLE Cleveland is shitty
OAK @ HOU Bold Prediction of the week: Jruss comp precentage > 55%
SEA @ IND fuck those ugly ass neon green unis
TEN @ JAC The titans finally win one
NYG @ KC yeah.
BAL @ NE I'm actually a lifelong ravens fan, so the choice is obvious
TB @ WAS TB looked halfway decent a couple weeks ago. Scary thought for cowboys fans
BUF @ MIA Ronnie Brown for QB!
NYJ @ NO Should be a good game. The saints by a hair
DAL @ DEN dallas should end that winstreak
STL @ SF another easy decision
SD @ PIT Just because it would be funny to see pit start out 1-3

GB @ MIN Brett Favre must die...

It's probably more along the lines of JGar hurting poor Jamarcus's feelings, in Oakland. You can't have some forty year old QB outplay your future HOF'er.

As for the Eagles, they probably wanted to see how Kolb would stand up to extended playing time?

He asked out of Oakland because no matter how good he looked in practice/preseason, they were still going to give J-Bust the job. As for Philly, with Kolb looking good in the past two games, he solidified his grip on the #2 spot and they would rather keep Vick because he brings another dimension by (supposedly) being a dual-threat wildcat option. Not really his fault in either place. He was signed by Philly as Kolb insurance anyway, so once Kolb looked like a legitimate NFL QB, there was no need for him to be there anymore.

Given up big leads in the fourth quarter two weeks in a row is what concerns me. And it isn't like we are giving up these TDs to a offensive juggernauts.

This will just make us appreciate Polamalu that much more.

To be fair, that last drive by Cincinnati was a thing of beauty and your defense (Ike Taylor especially) was the only thing keeping Palmer from throwing that touchdown several plays earlier. Sometimes you just have to tip your hat when your opponent steps up its game.

I would place the blame more on the offense. Going into autopilot with a big lead leads to nothing but trouble, no matter how good your defense is. Give your opponent the least bit of wiggle room and they might take advantage, even if it's Carson Palmer's corpse throwing to Chad Ochocinco.

Not everyone has a beast like Jacobs to hand off to and ice the game. :(

And yeah the offense could have helped by making that FG or holding onto the wide open TD but while the Bungles get credit for doing the fact is that they converted on 3 4th downs to do it. Last years defense doesn't allow that to happen.

alright finally got to see the Dallas game and my god what a sloppy piece of shit game that was. Defense is really a big weakness this year that front is not getting pressure on QB's like they were last year. If the defense stays asleep Dallas going to get eaten alive in the East and late in the season.

Niners remind me of the Bears team from a couple years ago.

Very good defense, good running back, and mediocre quarterback who manages the game aka Jim Miller. This will probably be enough to get around 10 wins (especially in the nfc west which is pathetic) but they'll need more firepower under center to take it to the next level.

Bears offensive line better shore up soon. Jcut is taking too many hits the first three games of this season, and if he goes down the season is over.

CIN @ CLE Easy Pick. Bonus pick: Mangini is fired after game.

If only. Eric Cartmangini is here for the long haul :( St. Quinn and his limitless potential shall be dashed against the rocks like Mugsy Bogues hurtling into William Perry.

Homefield DISadvantage?

Brent Celek or Lance Moore the higher priority for Free Agency pick ups? Moore has been injured but could come in and beast as a #2, but I don't know if he is/will be their #2. I don't like the idea of having a back up TE on my roster, but its hard to ignore someone going over 100 yards two weeks in a row. I drafted Coffee so no one is getting him, and Choice was picked up last week.

I dunno man, if Mangini keeps losing and pissing off his players, he might get turfed out of Cleveland soon. He's a donkey.

Why were the Browns so quick to pick him up? The Jets were rushing to get rid of him!

He signed a 4 year, 13.7 million dollar contract with the Browns as well so he isn't going anytime soon. :lol

I can't jump on the Rex Ryan bandwagon yet. I still remember the "Mangenius" year. I do love all the blitzes and trash talking though. The Jets were one less Brett away from being a playoff team as well. Our loses came on the road to the embarrassing West coast teams. Two games gift basketted by Brett.

Browns - Fuck this shit! Favre ran Manginius out of town! He will be a savior here.

Some time later....

Browns - Browns lol.

Shaun played pretty well against a good Viking D with some piss poor play calling. I think half of that was because Vernon finally has his head on straight... If Crabtree would have actually fucking signed we could potentially have a very dangerous offense.

How do you think the Bears stack up to Min/GB... I think the division is going to be decided by probably 1 win.

shocking prediction! I'm pretty sure I could suit up and complete more than 55% with a decent offensive line and running game against the Texans.

Granted, our defense wasnt amazing but come on, 7 points. Our worst defensive drive was that 2min drill. Other than that, we gave up some big plays but made some bigger plays. I agree the defense needs to kick it up several notches still, all around, but there was a nice improvement.
I didnt expect such good coverage on Smith all day. I expected Newman to get burned way more often. We had bad tackling, really bad.

Fuck Peppers. If you're getting paid $16 mil for the year (and want to be paid as the highest defensive player in the game), you damn sure should be able to do better than 2 fucking tackles, help or no help. Peppers gained weight over the offseason and looks like a slow fatass doing nothing but bullrushing himself right out of the damn play or standing around when the play isn't to his side. I'll be glad to see his ass go. His whole career has been feast or famine, but you can't devote 20% of your cap to a guy like that. I'd much rather value consistent production, even if it means we don't get to see his amazing INTs or sack-strips (which he hasn't been doing much in the last few seasons anyway). I say if he has another shit game we bench him and put in Charles Johnson. He's actually played really well this year and clearly wants to be here.

On that note, since we have no fucking DTs, why don't we just push a bigger DE in at DT? Instead of having Nick Hayden and whatever other trash is there at DT, I think putting a better overall player on the line is a smarter strategy. Why haven't we seen a Brayton/Lewis/Johnson/Peppers line out there yet? Clearly our secondary has trouble adjusting to this Tampa Two scheme, so we need to be creative and generate a pass rush to help them out.

This past offseason was one of the worst I've seen in all my times as a Panthers fan and it's going to set us back at least two years. Handing that extension to Delhomme, franchising Peppers, and trading our first rounder while adding nothing besides a revelation at corner (a 7th round pick, at that) has put us in this deep hole.

This is why I keep saying John Fox needs to go and he's the main reason they lost that playoff game. This is just ridiculously bad coaching.
We need to clean house. If we can't at least get together a competitive game coming in after the bye week, then 2/3 of the roster and the entire coaching staff need to go.

Noticing that GAF is pretty divided on NYJ @ NO.. hmm..

They should be, its going to be a close game with great match-ups.
I think the Jets and Giants have the right pieces to play against the Saints on D.. and we've been amazing against the run so far this year, so I think both teams will have to beat us in the air. Especially when Brees gets rolling on the scores. If the Jets game was in NY it would be a different story, but I think the home-field advantage should give us the edge over the Jets.

New England and Baltimore should be pretty good as well.

Ok, I'm sorry. :(

Why are you living in last year? Also calling them the Bungles seems silly.

Its the only 3-0 match up. Tougher to call then teams that have shown weaknesses. Though the Saints D, and the Jets Quarter good, Quarter shit Offense are both gleaming.

Man i say the samething, if crabbypatty would get his agents head out of his ass then we would have a more solid defense than we already have.

We havent really attempted to throw deep like we should have in certain situations to open the offense up like I think its supposed to be.

But VD should have stepped up longtime ago but better now than never and I hope we can keep it up with him in the loop and his head pumped up like a new years float after a stellar performance the other night.

BUT FUCK YEA BITCHES, WE COMIN!!!:lol

Crabtree the new Vick/Young? He just makes the defense better!

Thats a good question! I remember Big-E going off about how the Jets were making a huge mistake turfing a coach after a 9 win season and all this. Mangini is a disaster.

He's got zero passion, doesn't make adjustments during games, and is not liked by anybody in the locker room.

Eagles only picked him up because after Week 1 they only had Vick as a QB behind Kolb, and he was still suspended.

Hopefully McNabb is healthy to play against the Raiders.
All signs point to him being there, but you don't need him for that game. Why'd you pick that game? :lol You'll need him for the Giants!

Bzzt! No. There was never a competition in Oakland. There was never even a hint of a competition in Oakland. From the day he was signed, Cable said the only chance of him starting was if JaMarcus was injured. He was always signed as the backup.

and washed up Michael Vick is also more valuable to the eagles than JGar. Poor guy.
That's because they have a backup they wanted to keep long term in Kolb. Vick isn't a quarterback to them. If he was, he'd be inactive for the games as the third stringer. He's just like a graduated halfback.

The jets do look solid, but calling them them the most dominant force this early is just a little bit much.

:lol Jets will collapse. Bank on it. You saw how Sanchez couldn't handle the wet ball with his big ass hands? Well multiply that by a factor of 30 come December in the Meadowlands.

Save this post, Jets fans, writing's on the wall.

Yea people are overreacting with the Jets. Who did they beat?
Huston sucks, always have. Pats have a gimped QB. Titans are 0-3. Big deal.

Ill believe it if they beat the Saints.

Also, nobody here is crowning them as anything other than a solid 3 - 0 team. Why so insecure guys?

i didn't have a problem with the jets until they tampered with crabtree and that fat sack of shit rex ryan said "i wish we were playing them this year!" why rex? so we can beat that ass again just like we did last year? see you in 3 you bitch, if you still have a job

I think last week was the beginning of a 2007 like season for the 49ers.

i would agree with you if we weren't playing the rams this week.

and you shouldn't be THINKING about the 49ers at all. your team is a laughable 1-2 and have looked like dog shit. concentrate your concerns on the steelers, not the once-and-future superbowl champion niners!

When are the niners going to tamper with crabtree?
