OlliOlli 2 |OT| All it costs is your Dualshock 4

I am unable to do a Double Kickflip, I had no real issue with the Double Heelflip challenge earlier but man I'm doing absolutely terrible with this one.

Edit: Finally got the challenge. I don't know what it is with that input but I just cannot do it even remotely consistently. That challenge took me longer than any other, THIS BODES WELL.

My god am I a peasant at this game. Beat every challenge then hit the titan levels and I'm barely scrambling to beat the actual levels. I finally did but not sure I'll be able to do the challenges without some serious practice. Pro mode terrifies me. That might be all she wrote for me.

This game has set a barometer for an individual's timing- my god am I doing poorly.

I know the feeling. I think it would help if we could rebind the controls as I'm just not getting the hang of how they have it set up. I think if X was the jump button as well as land I would be doing a lot better.

Getting the timing down on pulling off revert manuals now, and it sure does help boost multipliers. Have been breaking into 1 mil plus more often because of it. Never played Olliolli 1 but thinking I should give it a shot.

I really want to like this, but it's just way too technical for me. My thumb-to-brain connections just aren't capable of managing and memorising this many different combinations of stick inputs in the half-second windows required.

Looking forward to the local multiplayer though, seems like it could be a bit of chaotic fun with some friends.

This game just isn't as fun as Hotline Miami to me. It's too annoying.

Just my opinion.

I like hard games and all but this is just stupid controls and button placements for the sake of difficulty.

I love the addition of lava and deep water, it's pretty funny to watch your skaterguy splash and sink. I also really like the addition of manuals. The artwork looks way better and the music is still chill.
Can't believe this came out for free!!!

Bottom line: This game is

It's a unique control scheme that hasn't copy and pasted from every beaten to death tradition and is really easy.

That's my first impressions too, downloaded the game cause I heard some good things about it but it's just not for me. And I like the Skate series.

It's the same with me I cant work I cant work out which buttons do what in the heat of the moment. I'm going to stick with it though I like things that confuse my brain.

Everybody loves hard games until they are too hard.

I can't perform crazy combos myself, but just cruising through the levels, nailing the landings is awesome on its own, so I'm totally fine with the game. Love the art & music.

I can't understand why I keep playing this game, but I do.

And i'm bad at it and my hands don't want to do the things when they should do the things the right way lol.

I'm enjoying OO2, it really carries the spirit of games from the 8 and 16-bit era. Yes, some of the later levels are a little fiendish, but completing an objective after a few hundred tries feels truly well earned!

The soundtrack is wonderful and I was surprised to see it hasn't seen a release, not even a digital compilation. I took matters into my own hands by buying all the tracks from places like Bandcamp, Boomkat, etc.

Fortunately the guys at Roll7 have similar taste in music to me, so a fair few were already in my library anyway... but it's nice to have everything together in one playlist.

Please don't PM me asking for a copy - any messages will be ignored. if you like the music enough to want it, respect the artists by throwing them the money they deserve.

I still can't decide if I like this game more or less than the first. The addition of the manual overcomplicates and trivializes the game at the same time. On one hand, there isn't an appreciable difference between grinding and manuals in terms of feel so it's easy to lose track of what you're doing. On the other hand, if you do keep track of what you're doing there is nothing stopping you from just continuing your combo forever other than a cheaply placed stairway or other obstacle.

There's still a lot to like about this game. Confetti ramps are great.

It's balanced out with things like, do double heelflip in a level long combo challenge, the tension to not fuck up after you finally pull off the trick and are at the mercy of just chaining everything together till the end.

The last five levels are pretty damn brutal though, can just about finish them never mind doing a specific combo TWICE.

The smith grind into a frontside bigspin is driving me crazy! This game is amazing and I love it but good grief, I can't EVER do the frontside bigspin reliably much less out of a grind. I thought I was doing pretty well until now.

Any tips on revert manuals? I've realised I won't beat the Pro highscores without them.

I know how to do them, they're just so strangely inconsistent for me.

Same.

I hate this game. Hated the first too other than the music, I would be so annoyed if I paid for it this time.

After getting g decent enough St the game I think I've hit the point where I should give up on trying to five star everything. So tough. But I'd never call the game too hard, it's tough but fair. Every fuck up is mine and mine alone.

Shoulder button and X to land, at the same time. Then, at the moment you make the landing sound, pull the stick left or right.

It's definitely challenging but maybe not in ways I want it to be.

Hmm. That's what I've been doing, playing it by the sound. Will just have to keep practicing. I really wish there was some sort of infinite randomised skatepark you could just practice in.

I'm playing the original which just came out on Wii U, and it's nearly great, but the controls are just a bit too off for me. Maybe it's all the other skating games i've played, but I just can't seem to get them to sink in properly.

Titan Sky is a fucking huge brickwall of difficulty. Didn't have any issues until now but the need to hit every landing perfect along with how quick they are is really putting me off.

Waiting each day for the Daily Grind is killing me. It's the only trophy I need for the Platinum. Also still number one on Titan Sky Pro 2 which I'm pretty proud of.

I'm on the exact same boat. I'm missing the simplicity of the original.

I don't really know how I am meant to go from a grind to a trick. The trick I need to do is a 3/4 circle motion and hold R1, but I do not know how I am to pull that off mid-grind. Any tips?

Regardless, really enjoying this game!

Time the quarter circle movement with the jump, the moment you hold the stick in 1 direction for a split second the double heelflick or whatever just turns into a normal ollie.

Easier said than done though.

Glad I'm not the only one, the margin for error is miniscule. I expected that for pro but not for amateur. I'm probably putting the game down since there is realistically no chance I can do the challenges while having fun.

I had the same problem until I realized that I wasn't letting go of the stick and jumping before the end of the rail. Make sure to hold L1 all the way through the trick too.

One more pro challenge left and it's killing me. Titan Sky Pro 5, "Do 9 Manual-Reverts and 9 Grind-Switches in one level long combo"

I can combo the level.

I can get 9 Grind Switches.

But fuck these Revert-Manuals. I can't get the timing right nine times in a row.

I'm having issues with the end of Titan Sky 1 (amateur) full combo'ing the level and wondered if anyone had any advice? Its the last up hill slope and then the last flat area right at the end. I can full combo the level to that point and am fine, but I seem to lose to much speed as I always fall off my board right at the end of the level. Any tips on how to keep up momentum?

Holy.... That sounds impossible. I will say that for some reason I found the Revert Manuals easier on my Vita than on my PS4; might be something to do with lag and the incredibly tight timing it requires?

It's definitely easier on the vita, or you could set your TV to Game Mode if you can. I like the Vita because rotations are easier on the smaller stick.

Amazing. Pretty sure I've found my new go-to travel game. :)

Great soundtrack made even better by the seamless sound design. Think this is the first game I've played that doesn't have a single audio cut. Just one constant stream of music through all the levels, menus, etc.

Revert manuals.

I speed up too much when I use them in the middle of combos and that screws me up.
