I've seen, read and heard lots of depressing things in my life. On the internet, and in real life (tm). A few moment ago I was browsing the SA forums while listening to Radiohead, looking for some wacky stuff to entertain myself before going to bed, until I stumbled upon a thread called "woman standing in hole during WTC attacks?". I went "oh god, another 911 thread willed with photoshops and sick humor"
Do you see the redhead woman leaning on the white stell beam?.. First thing I thought to myself "Poor.. poor woman". She's wearing white pants and a black shirt.
I mean, the utter confusion she must have felt. The smoke, the heat, the pain. The confusion. here she was, standing straight in the impact zone of one of the plane. Still alive. Not knowing what the fuck happened. Right next to her, the corpse of someone was there. She was standing. For like 10 minutes I tried to recreate the view she had in my head. The noise. The feelings. Jesus christ.
Further down the thread, other people contributed with some infos and pics.
Those is some seriously powerful pictures. I am so fascinated by those pictures and how that poor woman felt. Here she was, waving at "me", or rather some tv show helicopter. Check out the poor shirtless sap in the upper left portion of the screen. People were speculating that it was just a photoshop, or that it was just some sort of crazy visual illusion (that was before someone linked to the second pic)..
Until someone linked to a site with hundreds of pictures of 911, and ine one of those pics, you could clearly see the lady jumping down the building, in midflight
((((((
Someone else found out who she was.
Now that she had a name, everything felt more personal. Of all those pics, all those stories I've read and heard about 911, the fate of Edna Cintron will the one that I will always think everytime I hear about 911. I wonder how she was like. I wonder what happened to her on the day before. I wonder about what she was doing when it happened.
Those pictures will hunt me forever. And it made me think about how we should appreciate people who are close to us, because we never know what could happen.

The husband of one of the victims of the WTC demolition has tentatively identified the woman as his wife, Edna Cintron, who worked in the WTC
