The ending clearly was an incest end. There is no other way to interpret the ending. The author just chickened out to much to actually go through with them entering an actual relationship.

yep, I can;t see how anyone was expecting something other than some sort of incest ending. My problem with the summary is how quick it all escalates, and how it feels like I've missed some part of the story. Will judge properly when I get to read the book myself.

excellent ending, though I'm intrigued by BD bonus.... hope it pushes the envelope
Possibly the worst ending they could have possibly conceived.
I don't agree with you. we all know that wincest is the best ending not worst ending

How is it? There was no real relationship thus it wasn't anything The ending is a non-sedative. It tries to keep everyone happy by not going too far and not going far enough at the same time. Like I said just a minute ago, I'd prefer a completely non incest ending but a true incest ending is better than a "no ending" Shameful

Of course it's an incest ending. The author's vain attempt to try to walk it back at the last moment is idiotic. No reasonable person who witnessed what happened (fake wedding, kissing, turning down other suitors, promising never to be romantically involved with other people, etc...) and think those two can go back to be in a platonic, normal bro-sis relationship. As soon as both are out of their parent's house, they'll be screwing each other, or at least that's how any reasonable person would expect to happen.

Regarding the ending,
for whatever reason a lot of rom-com dramas in anime seem to end this way. The two main love interests finally admit their feelings, then decide to separate for their education and meet up again as adults. From what I've read, Strawberry 100% had it, I vaguely remember Love Hina doing it, and....a few other anime/manga, but I can't remember them atm. Even some non-romantic anime like FMA end with Winry and Ed basically making a wedding vow directly before he goes on another really long adventure and then comes back older where they marry each other and have kids.
It just seems to be a trope of some kind.

there's a 10year after piece coming later, maybe the author will show them with kids.

"No ending" would have been if he made no real attempt to pick one of the girls and it just sort of ended. That is not what happened. Kyousuke clearly chose Kirino. The author's dumb attempts at walking back on this at the end do not change that.

Yeah. I guess you're right. It's a stupid ending either way.
I'll continue to watch but, I can't say I'm pleased. I now want an anime only ending, and I hate anime only endings.

Episode 10

I feel bad for Ayase. She seems to have finally
realized her true feelings for Kyousuke, but still has trouble conveying them to him.
It probably makes things worse that she
befriended Manami for advice, probably not realizing her conflict of interest playing the role of giving love advice to girls after her own love interest. I wouldn't be surprised if Manami is actually sabotaging Ayase's chances with Kyousuke.

For all the stuff going on, the pacing still feels too rushed. Is this how it is in the LNs?

Yeah the pacing seems to be boned. Should've been two-cour.

The ending is hardly a travesty compared to the people missing from todays episode. I was so excited ;_;

The LN ending had a nice effect on the pre-order numbers of the first BD-Volume.

10:

After the strong ninth episode, this episode came off as being a bit messy like they tried to combine 2 stories into one episode and did a shoddy job with both of them. Story (1), Ayase's growing crush on the Onii-san she usually handcuffs and threatens to kill and beats up every time they meet, quickly gives way to Story (2), involving Kirino wearing a wedding dress while riding sharing a bike with Kyou-chan, which doesn't even have a chance to end before the supposed ClariS guest appearance doesn't even actually happen. I don't even know what is going on here.

In unrelated news, Kyou-chan has like the worst harem in anime history. His tsundere and abusive sister Kirino, poor helpless and neglected Manami, the hyperactive running loli Ria, the glorious and amazing Kuroneko, and now the yandere and abusive Ayase. This guy needs to get on the first plane out of Japan and escape now. He should take Kuroneko with him though.

This pissed me off so much. You have no idea.

But yeah, as we've been saying, the pacing is fucked. This episode felt like a mush of stuff together that probably could've gotten their own episode.

They're all total hotties though.

I don't remember this scene happening.

//Edit//

Silly me I totally do.
It's from volume 10

Oh wait...does that mean this episode will finish with Ayase?
If I'm translating this set of tweets (1, 2, 3) from one of the official Oreimo character accounts correctly, the ten-years-later story included with BD volume 1 is actually going to have something to do with
Ruri's youngest sister Tamaki, who will have become the second generation Kuroneko, looking back on events in the "present" time
. I think. Any clarification would be great.

This might be good, Hopefully it's good. Not what I was expecting by the sound of it but I'll gladly take more regardless.

Can't wait to watch :D.

Also, don't remember if I mentioned it before, but Kirino figma get! If I get a chance I shall have lousy iPhone pics later.

I wasn't SUPER pissed by this, but it was rather disappointing considering
they made such a huge tease out of the ClariS appearance which ended up being nothing at all
.

Sweet! She got a good Figma. The crossed arms don't have so many of the joints so it looks better.

I'm a pretty big ClariS fan, so I was waiting for this since the season started. Those monsters.

I really like what I've heard of ClariS's work...I have both Oreimo OP's on my running playlist. Maybe we'll get lucky and
they'll either have an extended version of this episode with ClariS or do something in an OVA when it gets a BD release. It's a farfetched dream, but I can hope.

Ep11

This was a very great episode, as long as your idea of great includes things like paint drying, molasses flowing, and snails racing. Yawn.

A full summary:
- Mom finds the photo booth sticker and Kyousuke gets kicked out.
- Kirino gives him a fridge and an imouto-wife eroge.
- Kanako appears. I like her, but the anime makes her feel so unnecessary.
- My angel Ayase appears! This was the high point of the episode. Or it would have been, except...
- A delusional liar then appears, and causes problems for everyone.

That's it. This show's pacing is just too ridiculous. They covered less than two chapters in this episode. I know I complain about this every week, but it's really annoying.

Anyway, next episode should be better. Hopefully.

Episode 11.

This was a nice change of pace from the drama of the last few. Ayase is always hilarious whenever she appears. Even Kanako wasn't as awful as she usually is.
Can't wait for more Ayase next week.

The end card was really nice too.

Great episode. The mom seemed rather nonchalant about
the possibility that her kids are boning.

Kyousuke's
"Does Kirino really want to have sex with me?"
line was the highlight this week, but the whole episode was good stuff.

I'm still not entirely sure why Kanako exists.

It amazes me that people give Kirino shit for being a bitch when Kanako exists. She's awful.
I don't particularly dislike Kanako, so much as I find her to be a waste of screentime. There are too many good characters vying for center stage to focus on some C-tier nobody at this point.

I have no memory of Kanako from previous episodes whatsoever. No idea who she is. Kyousuke is such a lucky bastard though. So many super hot chicks want to bone down with him.

Yeah, and give the rush job this season, they probably could've cut her whole bit out of this episode entirely. I don;t recall anything important really coming from it. Less her, more Ayase.

She's the Meruru cosplayer from S1 and last episode. She's one of Kirinos classmates and is awful.

Kanako doesn't seem important because she doesn't want to bone Kyousuke. I find her interesting. I can forgive her bitchyness since she clearly just wants to be a star, and it's more a factor of her ego. Unlike Kirino who has mostly just been petty and jealous.

But I'm pretty sure we're done with Kanako though after this, she'll likely be visiting Sena in the land of off-screen characters.

Ayase and Kuroneko should be around each other more often. Pretty funny.

Also, Ayase best.

She doesn't?

Nice. Too bad there's no English translations for those games.
Two routes have been translated. (The "main" route and Kuronekos) route. The patch is out there, I just never got around to installing it myself.
I'm not sure if the project is still ongoing or abandoned, haven't heard from it in a while.
