The Trial thing seemed to be going fine on my fist proper run (once I'd realised what it was) but then it gave me only a choice of 2 crystals rooms right at the end. For some reason the first attempt first room I got this one and found it impossible to target the crystal as my character was spinning around to cast at some dumb spider or something miles away, so it failed. Same thing happened again. Just watched a guide and the guy says these are the easiest of them all as he stomped on them with kb/m melee character on PC :/

Maybe I need to switch a targeting setting over or switch weapons so I can just hit the damn crystals It seems it's quite a nice thing to have in the game apart from that issue, I'm assuming that big stash thing is where you store up those offerings for your runs. Gutted I missed out on the keys I'd collected before/failing right at the end. I'm sure it'll be easy one I figure out wtf I've been doing wrong. Maybe I should reassign throwing my fist from the start of the game. and use that..

So getting some life regen has made a massive difference to my survival. As has tuning the button layout and making better use of available skills.

I feel like the tools are all there I just need to use them properly and once that clicks for people the experience is very rewarding.

Yes, given prolonged engagements a good amount of health and mana regen is important.

Charge generation on flasks is also important too. One of the best uses for your crafting orbs is to try to craft flasks that have charge regen.

I will say that it took me about 6 attempts at the act 1 boss but that was just me being a bit shit. Better gear would obviously help but it's not like I had to play perfectly to win. I just had to not play like a total muppet by avoiding just a few of the attacks.

Put in about 5 or so hours as a merc and finding it fun,

There are a few things I'd like changed.
1. the game pacing feels way to slow as in your character, and the maps are WAY to large for how slow you are. I feel like I'm exploring for no reason and it takes forever for one map.
2. Nothing drops, like nothing. I don't mind fewer drops, but it feels like I'm playing WoW and trying to get a drop on a raid boss. I like how there isn't a bunch of shit thrown at you like every other ARPG, but this is a little much.

All in all I'm not finding it too difficult, I think I died 3-4 times and pretty close to finishing act 1.
I'm actually enjoying the slower paced combat right now, maybe that'll change down the road, but for now I'm enjoying it.

Thanks to a generous donation from Miyazaki’s Slave Miyazaki’s Slave , we have 2 more premium tabs, a quad tab, and a skill gem tab in our guild stash too!

Rejoice!

I'm going to use the Premium tabs for level 10-16 gear, and 10-16 weapons. As everyone levels up, I'll add more categories.
The quad tab will be for a general item dump.
added a couple things into there
Thanks!

Do you buy random magic item or white item and go from there?

This is my shopping strategy.

Every level, look at the vendor for what they have in stock.

Check for rares.

Check for magic weapons that have a high tier and high roll of +damage or +skills. Buy them and use crafting orbs to hopefully craft an upgrade.

Check for magic weapons with any decent modifiers but has sockets, and try to craft a magic weapon with +damage or +skills.

So, the guild. You have to add each of my characters or will adding one add my whole account?

Can I get added? My main is Vallarfax but I play all classes.

Tempted to bite the bullet. $40 CDN on Steam.

Hey, what's the class or skill tree perks that give that awesome combo I see in videos where you spam out tons of blue/white lighting bolts everywhere killing enemies? Also, Asmongold had a video where his character spammed tons of minions lobbing fireballs.

This bothers me. Because I wanted to move to PS5 when home and not just play on the legionGO or GFN.
I figured it out.

Had to link my PSN account on my poe account on their website. First need to confirm email then link.

Now I can comfy couch my pc characters.

The input delay is absolutely terrible on PS5. I should have went with PC, but I'll just wait for the full version to come out before I switch at this point.

Despite that, I am mostly enjoying it, just getting to grips with the combat. I probably should not have started with Monk though.

they really need to add an auto sort for inventory and stashes

it is doable. D2R used the same inventory system, and it was decent enough. much better than having nothing.

is this how PoE was? reminds me of playing some CRPG from the 90s or something

Guys on PS5, try this

You also might need to change something else in the settings something else before you can save the server change. It's an issue people have found.

I’m gonna do a massive write up at some point but I would agree with ign that this is in its current state and 8/10.

Which is totally fine since its early access. If they remedy certain things we have potential 10/10 on the way come release day.

Each item has suffix and prefix mods. If you press Alt you can see their tier. Tier 1 is the lowest, Tier 9 is the highest. This way you can take an informed decision regarding gear.

Anyway when looking at items you can buy to pull up the skills tab as well so I can see what effect it has on DPS?

Seems not so I can’t at a glance tell what is better on Ranger. :/

Yoshichan

And they made him a Lord of Cinder. Not for virtue, but for might. Such is a lord, I suppose. But here I ask. Do we have a sodding chance?
just finished a 50 hour game session with the game (having stayed awake for 62 hours)

what the fuck that was a long time ago since i did this

honestly i'm not even tired, my body's just reacting weirdly

A few questions:

  • Is there any way to see your current DPS?
  • It looks like Dex/Str/Int don't directly affect DPS? Is it worth spreading them around, then? I'm doing a poison Ranger so I've been mostly dumping points into Dex.
  • I noticed I was getting a negative movement speed modifier from equipping a piece of armor, but I'm not sure why. Is there a weight or encumbrance rating somewhere?
  • How does Spirit work?

I'm only on Act 2, but so far the game feels like a pretty obvious homage to Diablo 2

Act 1 mirrors a lot of Act 1 in Diablo 2. The setting, the quests, you even rescue the guy who gives you the ability to ID the exact same time you rescue Deckard Cain in D2, who also becomes the character who hangs out in town to ID stuff and play the same role in the MSQ, which is ushering the story forward. You even cut both guys down from a rope they're hanging from. You then get sent on a quest to find the blacksmiths lost tools, just like in Diablo 2. The environment is identical. You start off in outdoors that look identical to Act 1 in D2, then you eventually enter some buildings that look identical the Cloister/Barracks from D2.

You wrap up with a caravan heading to the desert, just like in Diablo 2, and Act 2 opens up just like Act 2 in Diablo 2

As soon as you walk out into Act 2, you run into these spider monsters with the exact same move set as Leapers from Diablo 2, the first monster you run into when you leave Act 2 town

I mean there are a billion parallels elsewhere, but yeah, this is very obviously meant to be a Diablo 2 successor.
Comes off a bit as a D2 clone ...wasn't expecting that

No lag or pauses for me on PC. Using Vulkan. Idk if it's better than DX12 or not. Btw, I found my parry! It's called Magma Barrier. It's a persistent buff that need spirit to keep up but it is technically a parry that does fire damage. I only wish it autoworked with Shield Charge, but maybe that would be too OP.

Press G and then the arrow next to each skill. Each skill have their own dps calculation.
