So here is my thoughts on the game so far. Mind you this is coming from someone who has played ALL the ARPGs, and I haven't read anyone else's take on the game or watched impressions/reviews.

Pros:
Game looks amazing
Animations are great
Enemy variety top notch
Campaign is a massive upgrade from PoE1 in story telling
Easier to understand and manage getting into compared to PoE1
EPIC boss fights
Wonderful soundtrack (give this person a raise!)

Negatives:
-Base move speed is abysmal. In D2 I LOVE when I get Stealth at level 17. All my movement issues disappear rest of game. I wish more games would understand players do not want to move slow in these games.
-Lack of movement abilities. So shit base walk even with +20% move speed boots, and now teleports or blinks or mounts, etc is terrible.
-Add to this that maps are about 2x the size they should be. If they want to keep this move speed then they need to cut the size of maps.
-Dying and enemies all respawn is a massive chore. Get rid of this. It makes checkpoint to where you died a slog and a half.
-It is obnoxiously hard to get resistances.
-Loot currently sucks. It feels like a turd and a half to even get yellows to drop, and 99% of the time I'm just getting shit I can't use. Solution is increase drop rate of exalted, alchemy, and regal orbs.
-Collision issues galore.
-Controller is a massive step up from PoE1, but still a 1/10th viable compared to D4 or hell even D2 on pad. Rare in front of me, right stick told to look at him, shoot arrow, my character whips a 180 to shoot at a bone prison 20 miles away behind me... Or just plain missing enemies point blank.
-To boot, can we get with 2024 and make it insta swap between keyboard/mouse and controller on the fly in game without exiting to main menu? Come the fuck on GGG. This shit was not excusable in PoE1, so why is it here in PoE2?!
-Sorceress feels like dog shit. The tree feels more like a Witch minion tree than Sorc buff tree. So spread out for anything useful. Lightning feels doo doo.
-Power spikes feel very hard to hit. Just when you feel you are doing enough damage, you die too easy, when you build up survivability you no longer kill at a decent pace. This is back from the loot issue, and trees issues.
-Gold respec is a joke. May as well take it out. It is not fesible to respec. What is GGG so afraid of? Just give us 3 free respecs up to level 30, and 2 up to level 50. After that no more respecs you should be locked in. I personally would just love infinite respecs up to level 35-50 so I can fine tune and experiment. I bricked my Sorc because of the gold cost to respec and just rerolled.
-The dodge roll is slow, has long cool downs, and feels like it isnt reliable at all.
-I love Diablo 2. This game is clearly inspired by Diablo 2 heavily... but it's borderline too much. Act1-3 is a copy pasta of D2. It felt initially like "nods" to then being borderline uninspired by just copying everything from D2. Hooded one is deckard cain, Act 1 is tristram, Act 2 is the desert, act 3 is the swamp/jungle... I expected more of the unique world of PoE1.
-Lastly, I am not a fan of classes like Monk where in order to get actual damage going I have to do "mini quests" in combat. 4 regular melee attacks, to then be able to summon bell, and you gotta do a palm strike on a guy with a blue glow above his head to build up 3 orbs around me, to then be able to do a electric ground pound that shoots out in multiple tree of damage. Bro ... let me spam moves with less thought.

Yes that is a LOT of negatives, but it's early access. As it stands the game is still better than most ARPGs after years of polishing. My only concern is all of the above isn't looked at.

Game is a 8/10, and if the above gets addressed in 6-12 months then we have a 10/10 on our hands.

Yea, my main issues are movement speed and map size.
Just having to do the main story every season at this speed is making me not want to play.

Game sounds like it needs some massive cooking. Glad I didn't jump in. Unfortunately it sounds like early access is going to be a full year.

Allies in my presence regenerate 1% of MY maximum life per second? So, if I stack life on my character and take this skill, that's pretty useful in party play. That might be interesting to test out.

If anyone has any Iron Runes, I could use some please! And let me know what you need as well :)
Pretty sure I still have like 5 more. Prob gonna use 1 myself since I just got a decent 2 socket chest last night :).
I wish I knew what I needed LOL. Iron rune(s) for staff :)
I know right must be a bug.
Really don't think it's unintentional. Rentahamster wanted to give me a unique ring for my sorc but we couldn't trade it til 25 I believe. Maybe just a gatekeeping thing idk

Don't get how I was able to take them then not give them back. Weird.

Damn just reading this thread makes me sad that console version def needs some optimization
Console was working fine.

Main issues:
-Insane crushed blacks even with hdr off. No hdr settings so the game looks awful in certain places which is often in act 1 which is dark as hell.
-The lag issues didn’t occur day one. Sounds like they just need to reboot the servers.
-Game massively benefits from using pssr, dlss, etc because their native NIS is blocky, jaggy, rubbish.

It was running great up until last night then the servers were fucked.

I'm glad I can progress and play on PC now and all my characters are there.

And I neglected vendors up until now until advice in this thread. Found a great crossbow with two sockets and put two runes in there. My DPS went up the roof again. Just basic attack and grenades almost one shot everything

Any other ps5 users using FSR? I feel like this and turning down sharpness was the best way to get performance and remove shimmering artifacts from character models and flora/environments etc.
Act1 town is really choppy no matter what.

I bought a sex doll, but I keep it inflated 100% of the time and use it like a regular wife
I took 3 in there, 2 for my grenade and one for normal shot if it's alright.

Thanks!
Glad you were able to grab them.

For some reason, I only can see the general storage tab. With the gamepad, I try changing tabs but it doesn't work.

Dumped a few more lvl 1 support gems. I'm on Act 3 and already getting lvl 2 gems, so i guess I don't need the lvl 1 gems anymore.

On console the guild vault is a bit messed up. Can switch tabs or select items to check them.

Any one know if items are bind to character once used?

Do you need some cash to expand the guild stash?
Not at the moment, since I want to see how everyone uses it so I can think about what kind of stash arrangement would be best for everyone. I'll post about my thoughts on how I'm organizing it. If you have any suggestions, please let me know!

I will need more cash eventually though, if we need to expand or if people want more space. than what we currently have.

Wonder if they'll add more acts after the 6 they've promised. I don't want this to end lol.

Sure we can all chip in

I was confused as to why we have tabs for armour and weapons but they all appeared in the same grid anyway

Damn, game is getting eviscerated online right now. People are not happy lol. I just bought it last night, played for about 30 minutes before heading off to bed. Then I check some forums and subreddits and oof. I've read a lot of it, and it doesn't seem like typical whinging. A lot of people are echoing the same criticisms about loot drop rate, map layouts, hating the dodge mechanic, the slower gameplay etc. Wonder if GGG will turn this around because people talked up PoE2 like the second coming of christ for the ARPG genre.
This is literally the best part about POE2.

On the skill tree, I can pick between "increased attack damage", "increased melee damage at close range" and "increased physical damage".

I guess physical doesn't count the fire damage my weapon does, so I should go with attack damage or melee damage, right?

The game has a very positive on Steam and is being played by over half a million people as we speak in early access. The people who love the game are too busy playing versus the freaks on reddit who are butthurt it's not a carbon copy of PoE1.

Any recommendations on stat distribution? I’m playing Ranger so my dexterity is much higher than my other stats. Am I better off diversifying to broaden my armor + skill possibilities? Or is it better to dump all my points in dexterity?

Generally speaking, you want to go with the modifier that influences your skills the most globally and by magnitude. If all of your offense is attacks (skills that use your equipped weapon), then the first one would be the most global.

Depending on how much fire damage your weapon does, then the "increased physical damage" could either be a big difference or a small difference. The more of a percentage your skill damage is fire based the less effective that node will be. You can see how much of each type your skills are doing by pressing the expand arrow on the right side of the skills window, next to the DMG or DPS number.

Just passed Act 1. Took me twice but I am kinda over level a bit with a Health regen tank warrior.

It seems cold resistance is prefer here vs the boss. Stack up your cold resistance if you having trouble.

Anybody know what is the boss under FRYTHORN on the map? I have already killed the boss in FRYTHORN twice but the boss symbol still not grayed out.

Also, on the skill tree you can press alt at each node to get more information or compare to see how your stats are impacted.

Will the devs be putting in a minion ascendency for the Witch or is it safe to go with the infernalist one? I would hate to go down that road only to have them release a necro down the line.

They all appeared in the same grid? I'm not sure what you mean.

This is my current train of thought for how I organized the guild stash:

Level 1-6 Weapons and Armor - This is to help out new people or people trying new characters. The gear are meant to be loaners. Take what you need, but once you upgrade to a different item, put it back. I eventually want this to be full of strong rare items so that new players will have an easier time.

Level 10-16 Weapons and Armor - Same concept as the first one, just at higher levels. I also want this to be eventually full of strong rares so people have an easier time in the early game. If anyone wants to donate to these tabs, please feel free to do so.

Skill Gems - A place to hold skill gems and donate gems that you don't need any more, so that others can try them out. As you gain higher levels you will only find high level skill gems, so this can be a useful place for higher level characters to find a low level uncut skill gem.

General Storage - A place for whatever else is out there, and if anyone needs a place to stash random things. I started putting level 17+ items in there since I don't have tabs for that yet.

High Tier Magic Items, Sockets - This is for items that would be good for crafting and are hard to come by. Artificer's Orbs (orb that creates sockets in an item) are expensive, so finding gear that already has sockets in it is nice. Magic items with a high tier modifier are also rare, so if you find one for your class, save it for yourself. If you find one for another class, put it in the stash for others to use. Rare magic affixes like +skills or +spirit are also useful.
