Put some shit for trade just to check how it works. Do I have to meet the other person? Or is the purchase automated? That would be cool.

You mean the premium tab set for trade? If yes, other people will see your items on https://www.pathofexile.com/trade2/search/poe2/Standard and if they want your item, will whisper you ingame. The etiquette is that the person who sells, will invite to a party the buyer and met at the seller hideout to make the trade.

I finally finished Act 1 and I'm enjoying this a lot.

But I'm wondering if they patched the difficulty down during the week?

I'm not sure if it's my class or my built, but I find the game a little too easy.

I did 4 bosses this weekend (the two mansion bosses + the first two Act 2 bosses) and I killed them all first try without breaking a sweat.

Man, I hit a pretty huge difficulty spike at the end of act 1. Assuming it’s the act 1 boss… just fucking wrecking my shit. I’ve leveled every class to about this spot, and some classes are easy mode and others are just painful. I’m not the person to really comment on balance in arpgs but I will say this difficulty doesn’t really make any sense to me. It seems very oddly balanced. And I swear to god it feels like gem drops are suddenly being throttled. But that’s just me being a bit aggravated probably lol.

Picked the crossbow guy. Have died 4 times on the first boss Devourer worm thing. Also game keeps freezing momentarily, perhaps due to my shitty internet.

I dig it, but I can tell it’s going to be difficult and time consuming.

Endgame bros, how are you doing? I'm on tier 3 maps but have made no progress on either of the endgame mechanics so far, I either die during the map and lose the chance to try or fail while trying.

BTW, if anyone has a normal solar amulet, please consider donating it to the stash. Apparently, the unique solar amulet is very rare and expensive, and there's a chance to craft one by using an orb of chance on a normal version.

I had 3 normal versions and stupidly upgraded them to magic tier before I knew this :messenger_loudly_crying:

Just a question... could I start with a Sorceress and make her wield a two hand Mace? Huehuehue.
I don't think you can get the skills but that would look funny.

Ranger makes even more sense because she is even smaller, lol.

Yeah, tbh I am thinking of making something off the wall to have an excuse to make an 8th character. Lol. I might just wait until we get swords. A spell blade Sorc would be cool.

I have 1 but it's magic.

I'll be in the lookout for normal ones.

What class? I find the same thing with my Warrior. On the other hand, I died 4 times to Geonor with my Ranger. One shot him with my Warrior.

All of them. Trying to find something I like the feel of. I’ve settled on ranger but I’ll apparently need to grind some power. Just kinda crazy how other classes like the witch are a wrecking ball comparatively. I just need a few support gems to drop, which I think is the primary issue. Just for whatever reason, nothing has really been dropping for the last couple hours.

Anyone that has played enough on both controller and mouse/keyboard to have a decent opinion?
I only play controller, but I can tell you their auto targeting is really bad. Both options. They should let you disable it tbh… it’s pure shit. Unfortunately. Btw I’m a huge fan of GGG I’m just being honest. Their stupid-ass targeting overriding where you’re actually pointing your stick? Very poor game design.

Mercenary.

Basically I do this:

- full auto rapid shot with chain cleave
- gas grenades with armor debuff that go boom with fire
- stun grenade to keep mobs in poison gas
- high velocity ammo for burst dmg against armor debuffed enemies

Works excellent so far. A little bit too easy, tbh.

Edit: mixed up incendiary ammo with rapid shot. I do what makes the crossbow heat up.

I was playing a Witch alt, and Fireball + Scattershot + Fork + Wildshards put out so many damn fireballs my FPS tanked to 10 FPS lmfao. This is nuts.

Screenshot lol. This time I was using Unleash.

While fun, WASD gets me killed. The analog stick is needed for better character control and control of your character is very important in this. I just got a Razer Tarturus to try out(on my way home from a family Christmas so haven't used it). Having the analog to control my character but also a mouse for more engaging aiming of skills will be nice. Controller is great with the auto aim it provides and is my preferred way to play.

It feels like my Merc lacks DPS in act 3. I was watching a friend of mine playing Monk and it looked like he does double, of not triple my DPS to a boss.
Not sure how to proceed. Farm gear and upgrade? Buy a new crossbow?

Just got this lol:

I got the same one

You're going to want as much frost / cold / ice resistance (I forgot what the element is called in this game) as you can get. Find armor with that resistance and it will help. You can also level up a bit more first or play co-op if that's an option.

I suggest using the skill gems on your grenade that give you three of each projectile and the one that makes your area of effect 40 percent larger. You might need to select "show all skill gems" to see them. You can also go forward into the next area instead of going underground, which can help you level a bit more before taking on the boss.

I gotta say the uniques piss me off.

I know most are garbage in PoE1 but it’s not even a dopamine hit to see one drop because you know it’s total dog shit.

Would it kill GGG to create a ratio of 70% useful and 30% memes? Right now it’s 90% memes.

Ironically the best uniques tend to be the ones you craft yourself.
I still prefer Diablo 2 itemization. Nothing has beat it to this day.

Everything that drops has a potential to be an upgrade or a base to experiment with to make an upgrade. Plus uniques are generally useful overall. And some of the best in slot items are uniques.

Captain wrong strikes again. Shroud is notorious for horrible takes. Idk why anyone watches this dude anymore. Ego and narcissism to the max.

Also pathetic how he ditched his own game Spectre divide for deadlock on release, and then took no responsibility for why it’s dead now. Dude took the money and ran. Total scum bag.

I've had similar experience in Borderlands 1 where Greens and Blues were superior to Legendaries based on the effects that gave. And some that lasted the whole game.

I've done extensive research 💀

It's 10% by the time you get to maps. I expect it's probably 5% in Cruel.
That being said if you're pushing maps close to your level you'll get it back reasonably quickly.

Thats cool, i like it when death in games actually punish you.

At least you'll never lose a level - it caps the loss to the current XP bar.

However, in practice it means that most players will reach an asymptotic point where their build/skills just can't progress any further: Too high level to gain XP from manageable content, but unable to push survivability in harder content, and each death wipes out the incremental progress (and even in "easy" content there are always BS deaths available).

Yeah i played poe1 so i know how it works. Just havent felt thr penalty so far. Progressing stillt at around 1 lvl / 1hour. Probably a bit faster.
