Path of Exile 2 Early Access |OT| An Exile like ARPG.

I don't understand how % work in this game.
I took 2 nodes, each giving 12 % max energy shield and I went from 441 to 495 wtf? That's 12% +1

Endgame bros, what's your current DPS? I'm doing 5.600, don't know if it's enough or if I should focus more or armor nor for my passives.

I do pretty good damage, but I'm squishier than I'd like. I need to go on the trading site and get more gear with resistances and +life.

I regret buying the unique stash tab because I just stick em in the guild library now.

I find the quad tab really useful as a dump tab so I can unload all my shit there while playing and then sort it all out later. Currency tabs, skill gem tabs, and other tabs with affinities are convenient because no matter which tab I'm looking at I can ctrl+click a gem or currency and it'll automatically go to that tab.

Thank you for the insight and the video! That's going to help me a lot. I've only been playing this for a few days and can't seem to put it down.

Glad this came out when it did, this years games haven't really grabbed me like this has.

Are there reasons to explore the endgame maps to completion? I'm leaving the moment I kill the last rare mob, but I wonder if there might be cool shit to find on those maps.

Maybe I'm trippin but this chest already had the same 6 stats. I decided to mouse over it with an exalt and it let me, what I believe, enhance a random stat. In this case it was the increased evasion and energy shield. I only had 390 something before exalting it, then over 600 after exalting. I usually just used exalts to add modifiers, are they supported to enhance after that? I didn't know that if so.

I actually just checked that out. Definitely some room for me to improve, but also looking at that tree, there are many nodes they could go for for more damage, atleast on sheet. But theyre also crit and I'm not. And some questionable support gem choices. I was using shattering palm and then switched to that curse hand, palm was much more fun. Going to go back to that.

Exalt orbs add a prefix or a suffix mod to a rare item. A rare item can have up to 6. I believe there are mulitple mods that can affect energy shield, so you can potentially get a double whammy.

The es and evasion is a hybrid mod. I dunno all the new mods, but could be you rolled es evasion % and life. Did it have 144 lifd before? Was it 98%?

idk what the priorities are in this game but actual gear items seem to be taken into account last i believe. so i guess it'd be calculating your non-gear energy shield first (wherever that's coming from) then any gear is just adding onto it last.

My act 2 Trails of Ascendancy is bugged as hell. Cant place the item on the thingy to the left and it crashes and freezes in game. After I die it just sits there and I have to close the game

So whats the appeal of trading and buing gear? Isn't that make playing arpg game a little bit pointless? just curious

I feel like trading is a core mechanic of ARPGs. It was in Diablo 2. If I find something that is useless for my class but is godlike for a different class, I can trade for something that is good for my class. That way, all drops are useful to some degree.

For d2, once you realize how diverse equipment can be, and how many builds can come out out of this diverse equipment, you realize trading is hugely helpful.

You'll end up with so much stuff not relevant to anything you're interested in, and so much stuff you need that you rarely see

I meant more so whether my skills and stuff will miss without dex

Basically, just enough dex to use items you want to use?

Press G to open your skills panel, then expand the details by clicking on the arrow next to your DPS. Under "Damage" it'll show your accuracy rating and your chance to hit. Since melee is always so close, their accuracy isn't too bad. You'll probably be fine. There's also nodes on the passive tree that scale your accuracy to your STR too.

All 6 stats you see are the same as before exalting it Except, the evasion and es, which was lower. That was still the same stat just now it's much higher after exalting. I can exalt again and test my claim but would hate to mess up the item but i dont think it will.

I have 0 energy shield outside of gear.

I see now what it did. It rolled es and evasion again and combined it the first time. I exalted again and got added stun threshold

then it might still be a priority thing, but certain gear takes priority first, some gear might take priority last with nodes being in the middle of everything. no clue, just a guess.
That's weird when there are nodes that specify which piece of gear is taken into account, when there it says "maximum".

12% node gives me 6%.

Enregy shield is pointless on my monk, most mobs take it down in 3 hits when they don't one shot it... and I have 9 nodes on it.

OK I think I got it, it only applies on your base Energy Shield.

From stuff I have 225 x 12 / 100 = 27

441+27=468

Energy Shield is ridiculous (I'm lv 57)

I bricked my warrior, he became useless because I tried to copy another build I saw. Now I have no money to reset again (to be honest, respeccing is too damn expensive), die really fast etc.

Time for another class, lol.

What build were you trying to copy? How much gold do you need?

I followed the advice of a streamer and tested

to generate charges.
It works.
The issue is you only generate 3 charges max. With my normal build I do 7.

There are build which are created around energy shield. Search Keystones for energy shield in the passive tree to see some crazy stuff.

haven't really had a chance to play since last weekend

im level 28 and am thinking I should probably respec into a real build before it becomes too expensive

what's the best site for builds. icy veins?

I think this is the one, he has the build in the description, I went to act 3 build but couldn't even do that one because I didn't have that many skill points.

It's all good, there are so many classes and fun to be had, not giving up. I might reset my warrior when I have the money back from the other classes. :D

I never play Magic classes in these games, maybe I should give it a try for the first time. I always go Unga Bunga class usually haha.
