Just did a quick test run of the DX11 client. My usual probelm areas have massively improved. I used to get really bad framerates around Alira's pot and the Crypt tileset. It still dips, but only rarely below 60.
I also ran into the cannibal bloodline, which used to give me really bad stutters when they consumed each other's corpses. It still stutters, but not as badly.
Phenom II X4 965Nice. May I ask what your specs are?
Our December update includes the Breach Challenge Leagues, dozens of new items, and many other improvements such as a new DirectX 11, 64-bit renderer! Challenge Leagues offer both a fresh start in a new economy and a twist on Path of Exile gameplay with new risks and rewards. The Breach league features 40 challenges and three exclusive new microtransactions you can earn as you complete them.
I'll be grabbing the $60 supporter pack as I've got some credit from points I purchased not too long ago. I thought I bought them outside the window for them to be credited towards this but luckily I didn't. Cloak and portal effect look pretty sweet.Wanted to grab the 30$ supp pack but man, it looks TERRIBLE! I need to see how it looks in the game.
I didn't get time to play last night. I'll have to give a a try.
On my work computer I don't think it made a huge impact but I am sure it will on my main PC.
Kinda want your job now. It's the only way I can get a head start during leagues and it helps pass the time
Was just thinking that looking at the effects.I can't wait to see what performance issues the breach mechanic causes and how many rips will happen.
That's in 3.0, I think. So no new act in this expansion?
I thought it was this update that added it.
dx11 makes a huge difference for me on my amd phenom x4. I accidentally launched the old client yesterday and could immediately tell the difference.
Weird that ziggyd made that big anti amd video like 1 day before having amd became a non-issue.
Blade flurry looks like it'll be fun. Wonder if it'll get toned down before new leagues start.
Thinking of going shadow for it as I am sure pathfinder will be getting rekt.
Kripp's build in Breach league:
20k armor
20k evasion
11k effective health
max block
1 mil single target dps
decent aoe, but not great
permanent fortify
Interesting
Fixedsome sort of NL champion we guess
So Bering new to PoE, returning to the game seriously the other week, where's a good place to find builds for the upcoming league? Or any suggested builds?
Best iv got is a SRS Wwitch at lvl 62 on cruel, copied Quill18s build off YouTube.
If you prefer the youtube guys making videos some more casual/popular guys that make builds are ZiggyD, LiftingNerdBro, and Mathil.
Issue with following those streamers is people watch the videos and jack up the prices of the items in use since more people will be looking for them regardless of if they are wroth it or not.
Scouring forums right before/at league launch for build ideas is good so you can get a jump on what the meta will be and possibly get some items on the cheap.
Also also, why the hell does PoE take so long to download and install 40mb updates on Steam! jeez.
I think mine will look a lot like this

there are a few tradeoffs here and there I might make but the path is pretty self-explanatory.
The only thing to figure out is what do i do to not die before CI
Decoy Totem can no longer evade and has a 4 second cooldown at all levels.
