To go with the whole Rumble in the Jungle, at the end, didn't Reese refer to Elias' s move with the bomb as a rope a dope, or am I just making it up because that date was pointed out?

Yep, Rope a Dope was mentioned.

Also, I know I've seen Bruce before. He was on Justified for a few episodes, so I assume he was on Deadwood.

Sad about Anthony, though it seems like they've already introduced a "replacement" in the form of Bruce as Elias' new most-trusted. I'm going to be interested seeing just what Elias does now to try and take down Dominic now that his own group is supposedly depleted.

...Anybody else feel like Root's going to get killed at some point trying to save Shaw from her own impulsive actions? Another battle between Root and Martine seems so inevitable right now.
I'm pissed about scarface being gone, he always goes on the 'podcast of interest' podcast with the two hosts and discusses the show (and scarface) they will probably have him on again, he usually is on during the season or mid season finales

yeah, he was just on, I think, 2 episodes ago.

Currently pushing for him to get the 3rd seat on the podcast on twitter :p

Dominic is starting to piece things together, oh shit.

I wonder if this will go anywhere. It would be fascinating if a third party discovered the ongoing A.I war but I don't see how Dominic could survive more than a day if Samaritan operatives were after him.

Scar Face :(

If Link can survive the explosion I see no reason Anthony can't PoI writers plz :(

One thing I love about the show is how it doesn't treat its audience like idiots by ruining cool scenes and moments with dumb flashbacks to remind the audience.

When Reese handled Elias a gun and said something like "last time it backfired, don't make me regret it" a shitty show would've put in a flashback of Elias pointing a gun at Reese in that episode on season 1 in which Elias was introduced. But nope, this show knows better than to do that.

edit: Shoot is looking one sided :(

that's ok Root I'm here for you.

Oh. My. God.

Scarface :(

Though I'm glad that Elias survived. Then why aren't you smiling?

Martine getting a ground army. Samaratin knows of the blind spot. Dominic trying to piece things together.

The writers are having a lot of fun with thr not so subtle hidden shaw/root relationship. Root liked that grab by shaw

Rip scarface. Glad Marlo made it out. I think he will be Dominic's undoing.

Scarface :(

That final reveal about how Anthony and Elias were tied together was so sweet, legit sweet. So Carl, Bruce, and Anthony all grew up together in a shitty group home. It really does layer the characters a lot more, gives them more depth. And finally, we get the origin of Scarface, and it lives up to the legend.

Martine and Shaw duking it out in Cosmetics was fantastic. And now Martine's got a hunter team. NOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

The SHOOT was so good in this episode, but Shaw is gonna fuck up Root next time cause of this stunt. But yeah, it feels almost one-sided, though Shaw did flash Root that sexy grin. Also loved her little wave to Fusco.

And Fusco clocking Martine immediately was great.

And now Elias is fucking going cold hard bloody murder against Dominic. Fuck, fuck, New York WILL BE DRENCHED IN BLOOD.

All these fools who only watch Arrow, Flash and Gotham and missing out on the true best super hero show on television. What an amazing set-up for the next big arc.

RIP Scarface. One of my favorite side characters despite his few appearances. He really went out with a bang. How the hell did Link survive, he wasn't that far from the vault. The world isn't fair. Although he isn't that bad either.

I wonder how Elias will move against Dominic. Sure, he still has Bruce, but Dominic not only got to his associates, but also some of his core members, seeing that even the man guarding his sanctuary flipped.

The ending scene was great. It mirrored the ending of his first elias episode, with him going the same street after saying a latin phrase, but this time alone.

Root teasing Shaw was nice though.

Shaw *hugged by Root*: "You can let go now."

Root *get choked*: "You can get me all you want~"

Damn.. such awesome episode. I'm glad Elias survived, while at the same time the cost for that was so incredibly high. He got too secure in his own empire, now that he's backed into the corner I'm hopping the war will be epic

Oh, a interesting thought I read.

I didn't even thought that way until reading posts here and elsewhere. I thought that they were playing to a similar relationship between Link and Dominic like with Anthony and Elias, but it's actually the other way around. Elias cares for his people, Dominic does not. He always goes on about "hearts and minds", but he only reaches the latter. He is dwelling in his supremacy, as the King on the chessboard.
What people suggested was, that Link would turn on Dominic, influenced by Anthony's words and the experience of seeing an Brotherhood that exists not only in name and become Elias new right hand man. Or left hand man, if Bruce is the actually right hand.

Yeah. You could see that in their last scene, when he was disturbed by Dominic's utter lack of care about all the people they've lost in that building.

Link needs to turn on Dominic, because I can't stand this dude at all, actor is doing a great job because I hate Dominic, I feel like he has a lot of plot armor, the trinitarians or whatever would have killed him in a real situation last week

The whole "better ask yourself if your No.1 is worth dying for" thing seemed to hint pretty heavily at this scenario.

Yeah, I somehow misinterpreted everything regard that issue. I thought that Anthony and Link were two of the same kind, including the relationships to their bosses, I thought that Dominic were upset because Link was maybe dead and the soldiers scene I saw like "We can hire new soldiers every time, but a brother is irreplaceable.".
Don't how this happened :D

I like how writers manage to avoid the trope of showing a policeman being dumb and clumsy. Fusco is actually one of the smartest in Team Machine, able to see right through Martine's disguise, even she was impressed with The Fusco.

Really fantastic episode, I especially loved Root's dry response to Shaw playing faux-lusty. I was getting a little concerned that they were actually going to fuck up that lovely flirting thing.

Dom is a really great antagonist too.

Yeah that scene was great with Finch trying to explain to Fusco what he already figured out. Team Machine seems also forget that by all his nagging, he do as what they ask for no matter how ridicilous the request or the situation is and while he is complaining he never threaten them or try to force them to tell him what is going on. He also never feels the need to brag to anyone what he did and he did a lot of things that are bragworthy, considering he is the only one of the crew who isn't some insanely skilled and trained specialist or a protegee. Just a man with guts.

Also I thought about the blindness of Samaritan. Greer should hire tenthousand random humans who watch the major streets with the photo and report everyone who looks like that. Human cameras.

I'm actually surprised they haven't gone to the point of plastering their photo's on the news, internet, papers, everywhere. Say they were involved with the Vigilance Bombing attack. They'd get caught extremely fast if they were presented as terroristic masterminds.

Good thought. Maybe it would be too much of a hassle to killer her off if everybody knows her? Then again, they could send someone who is simply lost someone to Vigilance and wants revenge against her. So... good question, actually.

Could say that, but then Decima didn't have a problem with sending a guy into a police station and shooting a Vigilance member (as well as the cop processing him) to death and walking out of the station.

They'd use the public to find them, the police/government to catch them, and just execute them when they pleased.

Thinking on this, sooner or later, Control has to show back up. I always had the thought that she sort of recognized there was something wrong with Samaritan/Greer/Decima. Her expression when she received confirmation on Hersch's death, sort of makes me think she'll somehow aid TeamMachine in this fight.

If he does that I think he'd make Samaritan look less than infallible. I don't think the US government, who's paying Decima millions and granting them access to detailed information on the US citizens all for the sake of security, would be happy if it comes to light that some people managed to 'cheat' the system.

Good thought.

They also might be worried that, in a last ditch effort, TeamMachine might make public the fact that AI's are around and watching.

I am wondering, why is there no manhunt for Martine. Lady's left a huge bodycount, and just recently opened fire in a department store. There has to be some witnesses to this, even if Samaritan can cover up her digital signature (cameras, etc).

I totally expect her to go full Amanda Waller behind the scenes and recruiting a Suicide Squad of old foes of the team.

Then search her for something unrelated. They only need to search in New York anyways. There was enough chaos with the local gang war to just search for her as someone accomplice of either the Mafia or the Brotherhood. Would also be a opportunity for the two stories flow into one.

Well, she can't be convicted if all evidence vanishes one way or the other.

That will probably change once the show arrives on Netflix. It will make it easier for people to catch up on previous seasons.

looking at the ratings it's funny how POI is on an upward trend with the demo rating, while its total viewers is going down.

Old people seriously can't stand serialized shows, huh.

It's literally too good for some people :(

The POI wiki spells his name as Link so that is what I've been rolling with. Too late to make me change my ways!
This is exactly what I want. And him wearing a green hat.

I'm disappointed that Scarface died as well. I guess that means Elias brings up some other right hand man...or woman.

That was an amazing episode, god damn.

That final shot sent shivers. Quite a contrast of that happy Elias who had many men behind him.

I'm also amazed at the great photography the series has been getting in this season. The shot in the room where Elias was disciplined was very good:

holy shit o_O

best episode of the season, one of the best in the show's 4 seasons. amazing. I said it before, how can they top Reese, and they did with Shaw, then I asked myself how can they top Shaw and they did with Root.

So now I ask myself how can they top Elias, and they did again, with Dominic. Ive never seen a show do that with its cast, its ridiculous

if / when this is canceled, its going to leave a nasty scar this one

also nothing stops dat
Root x Shaw
train :3

The writing for this show is amazing. How they are able to make Elias and Dominic so powerful along with The Machine and Samaritan is just awesome
