No, Japanese game has English text and English voice options. They just choose not to probably because most of them who have a Japanese PS3 understand Japanese.

BBCS doesn't even ease you into the trial either. I remember doing one of hakumens trials. The easy shit like moves, supers, etc and then the next combo has you doing jump cancels and tking one of his moves into a long ass combo. It was only challange 3. THREE.

fuck that game.

I think that's one of the problems that exist with fighters where instead of learning a string and expanding on it, they throw you some moves and you do a motion once and then you're expected to remember how everything works in regards to mechanics. At least BB had the decency of telling you how a move is going to function in a combo like omitting the 2nd hit of a move or whatever, and you have the demonstration.

Well, keep in mind I'm not that great at fighters. If this is as accessible as people are saying, I'm gonna put a lot of effort into becoming competitive.

I didn't mean to come off as condescending but MvC3 really doesn't have all that complex combos unless you want to get really fancy. Granted, there are some difficult combos in that mission mode, specifically Amaterasu and the last missions of certain characters.

Some of the combos were pretty brutal in that game. But yeah, BB does put a lot of it to shame though.

And this game needs more Junpei. Playing P3 in anticipation of this game has been a blast so far. Watching the P4 anime as well, though the 1st episode is random as fuck. Dude just gets his powers all of a sudden and knows what to do. Although I understand that's probably what happened in the game(as P3 was similar in that regard) it just doesn't translate to TV that well.

Most people will pick lower/mid tier characters because a lot of good characters are like flipping a switch. They have no mid-level combos and the difference between what easy and hard combos look like is like Super Turbo vs Marvel 3. Shadow Dio, Avdul and Hol Horse will dominate, though.
