I have finally discovered my uber grinding loophole to avoid paying the stupid fox! Damn thing is a ripoff!
When low on SP, head to yukiko's castle and just keep pwning till you get an Arcana Chance that restores all your SP, then continue your grind lol

Man, I still havent gotten my game and I had it preordered through Amazon.
But they finally updated the tracking info today so it looks like ill have it tomorow maybe.
I dunno if ill play it though, I bought P3 at launch and never played it, then Fez and never played that lol. I just wanna look at the artbook :lol

2 was long, but not particularly brutal once I gained enough levels to not get one-shotted. 3 really required me to be on my toes at all times, as did 4.
I expect to see a lot of bizarre lists regarding this game's difficulty, due to the explicit level dependence in the combat algorithms.

Get up to level 17 and fuse a Sarasvati. Level her up to 19 and she'll learn Invigorate 2, which restores 5 SP per turn in combat. Then while dungeon crawling use your main character for all your out of battle healing needs and use him as much as possible for exploiting weaknesses and whatnot. When his SP runs out leave the dungeon you're in and go to Yukiko's Castle. Equip Sarasvati and get into a fight on the first floor and just have everyone defend until the main character's SP is full. Return to the dungeon you're actually exploring and go to town.
I was able to clear all of the second dungeon, beat the optional boss that was available, collect every item I needed for quests, and grind an extra five levels in a single trip by doing that.
Also, the Cu Sith Persona learns Traesto if you don't want to spend money on escape items. Best part is that he also learns Growth 1, so you can just leave him in reserve until he learns it if you don't want to use him.

What is a good level to be at for the second dungeon boss? (I am on beginner because my RPG skills are weaksauce)

On expert, I beat it at 23, and it was a reasonably long fight. I believe Beginner is basically normal plus those ten continues, so don't use them except if you'd lose tons of progress.
So, 23 on normal/beginner should be pretty good. Just don't stroll in flaunting your weaknesses, and have people guard them if you're in a very vulnerable position.

Finally cleared the first dungeon a little while back. Seems like I'm going at a slower pace then a lot of other people here.:lol
Story keeps getting more interesting, and I'm loving all the characters. Now that the first dungeon is out of the way, I'll have to take a little break from dungeon exploration and do some socializing and stuff.
Final boss became a lot easier once I realized that I didn't have to beat the Prince. First two times I tried I beat him and got her down low, but then ran out of steam. So the third time I just wound up beating her down and didn't pay too much attention to the Prince.
Story keeps getting more interesting, and I'm loving all the characters. Now that the first dungeon is out of the way, I'll have to take a little break from dungeon exploration and do some socializing and stuff.

In your second application, I wanted to find all fusions that resulted in Sarasvati. One of the results was Saki Mitama + Sarasvati. This combination shouldn't even be fusable as both are priestess persona and should give a pristess that is a rank lower then Sarasvati (except Sarasvati is the lowest ranked pristess persona.)

This works flawlessly on PS3 right? I don't want to get to find I run into trouble, I loved P3 and I definitely want to pick this up.
When I finished the second dungeon something jumped out at me.
Right before the boss fight Shadow Kanji says "You three would make nice boyfriends."
Now obviously boyfriend candidates one and two are the main character and Yosuke. It's the third candidate that made me wonder. I assume he's not talking about the real Kanji, on account of them being the same person. And he's obviously not talking about Chie or Yukiko on account of them lacking Y-chromosomes. Which only leaves. . . Teddie.
I note that Teddie was less enthusiastic in this instance than he was when he thought Yukiko called him a prince.
