See I guess her opinion is colored by Golden and the fact that all Persona titles have portable renditions. I'm assuming because it's been damn near a decade since we've gotten a new numbered Persona, that she's forgotten that those always start on console and the re-release is portable.

Happens all the time everyone keeps talking about the lowest given score and give those sites the most clicks how about ignore them and talk about the rest of the reviews not only the lowest scoring ones and if you really hate them temporarily put on a adblock check it out then leave and remove it done

World of Final Fantasy was turn-based and it was criminally overlooked. It was such a great, charming little game.

I understand this sentiment.
However, the game is better designed to be digested in 1hour chunks than P4/P4G was, since you can save anywhere at any time outside of dungeons, and there are more breaks in the dungeon that let you save.
Combine this with the PS4's suspend/resume feature and the experience can get pretty pick up and go. If you go this route, however, I strongly recommend a pad of paper and a pen so you don't completely lose track of what you were doing.

2017 is shaping up to possibly be the best year ever for games. This might be the golden age of the medium.
Over half of these are not even exclusive. What is the point of posting this image other than to masturbate over quality games next to a PS4 logo?

Man I would kind of love to get this (and I could, if I boot up my PS3 again), but bleh, I don't think I would get that far in, and I have other games to look forward to anyway, including a couple RPGs already, like eventually checking out Nier.

You do know you don't HAVE to finish it right away you know? I had Witcher 3 since day 1 and still haven't finished it i go back to it time to time lots of content for my money im very pleased.
Not that interested in the reviews themselves outside of a handful (RPGSite's was very insightful), but seeing a turn based JRPG made by Atlus review this well in 2017 is fantastic news.
Hopefully all this will affect sales positively and the franchise (and genre) can truly flourish in the west.

Well, if the game doesn't get a few more 10s it will end as a 93% title, still pretty impressive in this day and age, Persona 4 Golden got the same score.

GTAV (97) and Last of Us Remastered (95) are rated higher.
All 3 are PS3 games funnily enough.

GET IT! I also ordered the PS3 version myself, the PS3 was the lead platform anyway and if you're fine with 720p then there is nothing to fear.

doesnt matter how long it took or what it was called back when it was a cg cutscene ,
the actual ffxv is clearly rushed, be it because of the 3 years development cycle or the in development engine, i dunno. anyone not purposely pushing bait-y narratives can see that.
