CJ's drunk. BoS is a neat game, but mostly side stories. The continuation is pretty short and incredibly miserable.

Er... No? She's vile and a moron.

Was going to say of anyone that actually deserves the fate given to them, it was her. What a monster.

At any rate, thinking more about it, another thing that really bothered me is how underused most of the cast is.
The teacher, the creepy guy taking the pictures. I mean, their ultimate fates were interesting I guess, but just really really underused. Let's take the teacher for example. What's the difference if she dies under the cabinet in like chapter two or not? Not a damn thing. It's almost like the game knew that they were just going to keep them there forever so they didn't want you to get too attached to them emotionally. Too bad for Seiko that that also wasn't the case. Really makes that scene in the bath with her brother ALL the better knowing he's going to be alone from now on. Yay.

Honestly, it kind of reminded me of Lost, which also drove me off the deep end. All those plot points, all that potential, kind of leading to a fat lot of nothing. It's even weirder how some of the bad ends or bad end routes actually have interesting things that happen with the characters that can STILL happen in the normal ending, but it chooses not to for seemingly no reason.

BoS shows a totally different side to her. She's still pretty vile, but one key event made me feel kind of bad for her.

It's up to interpretation whether she actually wanted to help her friend or was just using her to get into HH, but we'll never know.

Yep, but the final chapter of BoS sets it up.

So it has to be played(if the new one ever comes out over here anyway).

Well, I bought both and don't regret it, even if I sound salty about the ending. I can just hope it's a good setup point at least for what comes later.

But for now I have Pokemon, Phoenix Wright, and Batman to play! I'm due for a P4 playthrough again as well.

OBJECTION!

I honestly thought those were cigarettes for a moment.

I just had the idea for a new Persona game:

One day you move from your rural town to the big city (your parents are employees of a national corporation and are transferred there.) But due to a tragic death in the extended family, your busty 15 year-old-cousin has to move in with you. On the first day of school you meet the saintly high school council president , the quiet, swishy kendo player and his absurdly ripped and flirty best friend who doesn't know what to do with his life. The council president tells you a story that every day at 4:17 AM on a clear day that toilets start projecting a mystical light that lets you see the past. Curious, that evening you wait until 4:17.

Suddenly, the toilet starts glowing! You run straight back to your room and try to pretend that nothing happened. Unfortunately the next morning, the President claims she saw the same thing happen. Reluctantly, you admit to seeing it too and swishy demands that he go and see it himself. The three of you decide to have a sleepover at your house (with your cousin attempting to grope Swishy constantly.) When, once again the toilet starts glowing, the council president shoves you in face-first to try and clog the toilet before something bad happens. You feel yourself sliding off into the abyss Realizing that you've been sucked in, she and swishy jump in after you. Eventually you and your friends meet a sentient bacterium named E.colie who guides your party to the site of swishy's 13th birthday party. Swishy comes down with a case of the vapors. At this moment you feel a spark and get your first persona: Belphegor, and a duplicate of burly that turns out to be his "other half" appears, and calls himself a shadow, who you have to beat to get swishy back to consciousness and give him his persona. After this you form a pact with E.Colie and set out to discover the mystery of the toilets.

Here is my idea for Persona V:

Now, this is a story all about how
My life got flipped-turned upside down
And I'd like to take a minute
Just sit right there
I'll tell you how I became the prince of a town called Bel Air

In west Philadelphia born and raised
On the playground was where I spent most of my days
Chillin' out maxin' relaxin' all cool
And all shootin some b-ball outside of the school
When a couple of guys who were up to no good
Started making trouble in my neighborhood
I got in one little fight and my mom got scared
She said 'You're movin' with your auntie and uncle in Bel Air'

I begged and pleaded with her day after day
But she packed my suit case and sent me on my way
She gave me a kiss and then she gave me my ticket.
I put my Walkman on and said, 'I might as well kick it'.

First class, yo this is bad
Drinking orange juice out of a champagne glass.
Is this what the people of Bel-Air living like?
Hmmmmm this might be alright.

But wait I hear they're prissy, bourgeois, all that
Is this the type of place that they just send this cool cat?
I don't think so
I'll see when I get there
I hope they're prepared for the prince of Bel-Air

Well, the plane landed and when I came out
There was a dude who looked like a cop standing there with my name out
I ain't trying to get arrested yet
I just got here
I sprang with the quickness like lightning, disappeared

I whistled for a cab and when it came near
The license plate said fresh and it had dice in the mirror
If anything I could say that this cab was rare
But I thought 'Nah, forget it' - 'Yo, homes to Bel Air'

I pulled up to the house about 7 or 8
And I yelled to the cabbie 'Yo homes smell ya later'
I looked at my kingdom
I was finally there
To sit on my throne as the Prince of Bel Air

Now, this is a story all about how
My life got flipped-turned upside down
And I'd like to take a minute
Just sit down, guy
I'll tell you how I became the prince of a town called Iwatodai

In western Inaba born and raised
In the TV was where I spent most of my days
Chillin' out maxin' relaxin' all cool
And all fightin' some shadows after a day of school
When a creepy raper guy who was up to no good
Started killing people in my neighborhood
I involved in the case and my uncle nearly died
He said 'You're movin' in with Junpei in a town called Iwatodai'

I begged and pleaded with him day after day
But she packed my suit case and sent me on my way
He gave me a kick and then he gave me my ticket.
I put my glasses on and said, 'I might as well kick it'.

First class, yo this is bad
Drinking TAP Soda out of a champagne glass.
Is this what the people of Iwatodai living like?
Hmmmmm this might be alright.

But wait I hear they're prissy, bourgeois, all that

I don't think so
I'll see when I eventually arrive
I hope they're prepared for the prince of Iwatodai

Well, the plane landed and when I came out
There was a dude who looked like Jesus standing there with my name out
I ain't trying to get shot just yet
I just got here
I sprang with the quickness like Zio, disappeared

I whistled for a cab and when it came near
The license plate said baller and it had dice in the mirror
If anything I could say that this cab was fly
But I thought 'Nah, forget it' - 'Yo, homes to Iwatodai'

I pulled up to the dorm about 7 or 8
And I yelled to the cabbie 'Yo homes smell ya later'
I looked at my kingdom
I had finally arrived
To sit on my throne as the king of Iwatodai

Fixed for you, homedawg.

Ah PersonaGAF, it's been a while! Did Persona 5 come out yet?

Nah, this isn't even our final form. When that day is finally upon us, true madness may just break out. Half of us will jump out of the nearest three story building once we realize its inevitably an iOS game, Sophia will change her Aigis avatar, Inorigo will acknowledge Persona 2 as a Persona game, and most grave of all, Dantis will say something nice about Arena

Might I remind you all that when I changed my avatar once last time, people were declaring it the end of the world.

I don't remember this.

I remember you losing a bet though.

This was before that. I matched cj_iwakura's Fate/Stay Night themed avatar for a week. Just for fun. I started getting PMs and messages in chat about how nobody could find my posts and one person jokingly (or not...) saying
The Fall was coming
, so yeah... >_>;

The avatar bet hardly lasted a day, I'm surprised more people remember that.

...so I was unintentionally right about one of them. Weird. Maybe waking up at a random time in the middle of the night the instant the news about the Persona reveal site hit the internet was no mere coincidence.

Clearly, Igor has taken residence in my head and has taken control of my creepy factor.

I wonder what the text at the bottom of the P Studio logo says? No version of the logo that I could find has the text found in the logo on the p-ch site.

It should be on the back of the Persona 4 Arena box. I tried looking at mine but the text needs a damned magnifying glass to see.

Bigger sized version of the logo, if anyone is interested: http://www.flyingbell.co.jp/fbcv2/wp-content/uploads/2013/08/img_p_01.jpg

They're the second studio? Ironic, considering Persona is the company's most valuable property.

Duckroll mentioned this in an earlier thread. But short jist is that they were one studio for awhile after Cozy Okada left and then Hashino and the Persona team broke off around the time of P4.

There are currently only two development studios in the Index Consumer Software Division. There's the 1st Production Studio and the 2nd Production Studio.

The 1st Production Studio is where most of the games come from. EO games, Devil Survivor games, SMT4, whatever else.

The 2nd Production Studio is Hashino's Persona team which is its own thing now. They produced P4, P3P, P4G, P4 Arena, and Catherine. They are currently working on Persona 5.

In the past it was a single production studio when it was Atlus R&D1. After Cozy Okada left, Hashino produced almost everything for a time, as well as directing many of them - Maken X, SMT3, DDS, P3, EO1, etc. But as they started to have more output, and as Persona became increasingly popular, they split the Persona team into its own secondary studio.

Actual teams seem to be formed on a project to project basis, so there are no fixed teams other than those which make sense when it comes to pumping out sequels. When a series stops getting sequels, the team members are moved onto other projects.
