I'm overly optimistic that all the games Xbox is giving me with 120 fps updates for free are better than your remakes you are about to pay 70.00 for.

The fact that they are charging 20.00 for a Spider-Man PS4 upgrade says about all you can expect from BC on your PS5.

I see a lot of articles arguing about whether or not it's stand alone. It's often referred to as a PS5 game, while excluding PS4 is misleading it's not a lie, it IS a PS5 game. I don't see anyone saying what it does is impossible on PS4 and therefore that version can't exist like with Ratchet... though the ray-tracing wouldn't be possible on PS4 so maybe they said it about that? Not really finding it. I think people should have been expecting this because from what I see they never say "Playstation 5 exclusive" in these articles, they say "Playstation 5 game". I'm not sure what games I'm buying when, btw, assuming I can get a launch PS5 I'll certainly buy Demon's Souls.

??? You're not trying to argue what posters on NeoGAF interpreted to be the same as an actual announcement by the devs are you? Yeah, I do know people got piled on for calling it an expansion... so? I'm trying to connect this to the idea that anyone working on it promised it'd be next-gen only or what it does could only be done on next-gen and it isn't clicking for me. We're talking about Demon's Souls now? I thought this was about Miles Morales? I dunno man, who put the Starbucks cup in the Game of Thrones episode, MUST HAVE BEEN DELIBERATE! I'll admit the possibility exists the game is meant to come to other platforms and this wasn't the right time, but the problem with that theory is the slide seemed to indicate PC was simultaneous, were that true why would they hide it? It seems weird, almost as weird as them putting an IP they own onto other platforms like XBOX.

He never did look like a tool, he looked like someone that has been around for generation transitions before and knows how they work so was actually being upfront about it, unlike sony and the people on here.

Up until Sony's showcase, this narrative was never pushed. The "Craig" memes, and compromising to the lowest common denominator "Series S". Had Horizon: FW stayed exclusive to PS5, you'd realize this would be a massive egg in Phil's face. He probably evaluated on the cost-benefit risks with his studios and stuck with a statement that eventually paid off; understandably, as SONY is ahead in terms of AAA exclusive tech and output.

Let's not be mistaken here, Sony is the one that dropped the ball which is making Phil look like the sensible guy.

Not really, I thought it was obvious what games I was talking about so i just didn't type the names, but let me reiterate. It's super shitty they mislead people on HFW and Spiderman being PS5 only. i don't see how it refutes my point that they believe in generations as they have several big next gen exclusives coming and one at launch.



Demon's Souls coming to pc and other consoles was stated as nothing but an error, I suppose it could happen in 5 years or something. I don't really see any big deal of them not plastering "PS5 EXCLUSIVE" over the GoW teaser and it was later oficiall confirmed as one..

Also I wasn't saying Demon's Souls looks good compared to the original. I think it just look phenomenal compared to anything out right now. I get not being hype if you played the original but graphically it looks like a great example of next gen.

They totally mislead people that HFW and Spiderman were PS5 only, However they have announced many big Next Gen exclusives that are coming this year and next which is why I don't think they are near the level of Microsoft.

I honestly hate that it sounds like I'm downplaying how fucked up it was for them to mislead people on HFW but i'm simply more focused on people acting like Sony suddenly doesn't have several big next gen exclusives coming from their studios.

Eh it's not really much different to any other gen. Most launch games are always cross gen. Devs just don't have enough time or money to make next gen exclusives for the first year or 2.

So to put the speculation aside, Demon's Souls is confirmed to be an exclusive as is RnC. Sony has not gone back on their word when it comes to delivering next gen exclusives. If you have any actual confirmation that these exclusives don't exist then let me know.
