Just a warning, we're making the game as frustratingly unplayable as possible in some areas. So if all your attack just make him say "I don't get it" and take no damage, then so be it.

jesus christ how horrifying

So in the off chance that you're just fucking with me, let me start out by saying you have indeed tricked me, however I wish you pain and suffering because I wanted to believe so hard.
He already posted the pic of the manual but it is true for both DOA3 and DOA2U. It didn't necessarily make your move hit harder, it gave you a different move entirely which typically did more damage. There were three pressure levels in the DOA games at least, if you did a light press you would get move X, if you did a medium press then you'd get move Y, etc. It was a really awful way to play the game and on by default. The first thing you did was hop in the options menu and turn that shit off. If you want more proof then I'd be willing to put together a short Youtube video for you.

Someone sure is defensive :DDDD

Irish stand up comedian Dara O'Brian said this with respect to having video games as a hobby, "As a 31 year old who LOVES video games (Metal Gear in particular), it's less embarrassing if I say that after every gig I like to unwind with a bit of hardcore pornography!"

Hold's true for bronies as well. Oh no! You are watching a harmless kids show much like Scooby Doo or Transformers! Surely you have some screws loose in the head.

Most games are not really made for small kids, much less small girls. My little pony on the other hand is.

Regardless of how many "M" 's you paste on the box, games are still treated as a kid's past-time and not for anyone above the age of 25.
MLP may be for little girls but the new show has a Toy Story type "meant for everyone" type of vibe.

Although, some stuff is truly nightmare inducing...

She, but yeah. Some of the MGS games on Xbox and PS2 (at least) also used pressure sensitive buttons for things, which was met with - as far as I can remember - almost universal consternation.

The show is actually really great for what it is. I mean, I'd be pretty happy if I had a daughter watching it since it's pretty much the only peice of kids TV since Samurai Jack that I felt had an actual soul to it, and it only took me about three minutes to work that out.

The problem for bronies though is the same as for furries. A very visible hardcore fanbase which doesn't represent everyone, but DOES make normal 'this is just a cute show I enjoy' fans sound weird by proxy.

Add in that this is a visible hardcore fanbase of 18-25 males for a well known mainstream show targetted at prepubescent girls and pretty much the maximum number of people possible are going to be raising their eyebrows.

My brain is full of wat.

He's right in the sense of mainstream opinion from people who have zero contact with games, only, that's an aging crowd that's shrinking every day.

Sincere thanks for explaining my point better than I could.
Also, I hope by hardcore you mean the ones who cut holes into plushies and not those who just draw fan-art and write fanfics, because c'mon! Every show/game/series has those.
We are no more weird than people who have Klingon Weddings and that's... unusual.

Well maybe in America Superbowl Sunday has been replaced with League Of Legends Sunday but abroad I am sure, especially in India where I am from, Games = Kids Toys are the unfortunate majority. Japan and South Korea are perhaps exceptions.
