Plasma, LCD, OLED, LED, best tv for next gen

I will update to 1080p soon for my future PS4. I don't want a too big screen (32" would be perfect) and if possible I'd like to have 3 hdmi ports. Any recommandations?

Say guys, is it worth getting the Panasonic VT65 (60 inches) and would it be good for gaming and related for the next 5-6 years?

Samsung 55" OLED is down to "only" $9000 retail (prolly $7500 street), which means it should enter Earth-based pricing orbit late next year. Current Consumer Reports review summary: it blows away LCD and beats Plasma. Do want. Not sure if I'm a fan of the curved screen, tho...

I'll buy one when it's $2-3k. Hopefully input lag is low. The 2nd and 3rd gen sets should be mindblowing.

Im considering this LED tv for next gen. Samsung ES8000 46 inch.

price range arround 1200 euros. Do you guys recommend it?

I'm either getting the S60 or ST60... input lag being the deciding factor. Anyone?

Get S64 at Costco/Sam's Club. It's an S60 with the ST60 antireflective screen coating...win/win.

I hear varying reports on ST60 input lag, but the S60/S64 for sure is very very low. I have an S60 and an S64 and they are just as responsive as my old LG LD/LK450 series TV and Samsung LCD monitors.

Do they only sell the S64s in 65"? Looking for more like a 50"-55"

Have any of you guys looked into / use sort throw projectors ? They are capable of displaying a 65" image in less then 4'. 110" in 7'

I was first looking at 65" tv's but then thought about how hard it was going to be to get one into my apartment. Started thinking a projector could do the same thing but not be so cumbersome. Any thoughts ?

Yeah, I didn't look hard enough. So this?

http://www.costco.com/Panasonic-TC-...identifier=plasma-tvs&langId=-1&storeId=10301

Can get it for $760 shipped to my house, $60 more than an S60 costs at retail/online/etc right now. Which I'm fine with since my nearest Costco is an hour and a half away.

Don't forget that Costco gives you a 2 year warranty on it right from the get-go. They'll come to your house, replace it, replace it with a different/better model etc. Costco warranty kicks ass.

Projectors are great, lots of benefits. really depends on what you are buying as they can be pricey if you want something that will give you really good PQ, which will factor in the contrast ratio and lumens. Also other things to factor in. ( at least in my case, lighting, room color etc lol but I'm anal about that, which is why I don't own one yet.)

50" and 65". I got the 50", I like it so much I might get a 65" to go along with it in the future.

Ugh, 65" isn't available online and after a thorough search, it looks like it would be perfect for me, if not slightly big. 50" is too small for me. I was looking at getting a 60" but thought I needed an LCD because it will be used in a bright room during the day as well as at night. But if it's got the anti-glare, it would be perfect. Great price, low input lag. Wish I would have started looking for a TV a few months ago when these were still available.

Where'd you order it from?

I'm a little worried about ordering online in case I'm not home to receive it. I don't want it getting stolen.

Best Buy. Free home delivery and I got the 24 months no interest because I have a Best Buy card.

They call you the day before and tell you a 2 hour window that they will deliver in. It's all really well handled. I worked from home today just in case.

I've ordered two "bigger" TV's from Dell, both times they used a local carrier service that called me and setup a time to deliver. I feel like most companies do this for lager TV's.

Now, besides those, I've had monitors shipped in their stock box (a lovely shipping feature of newegg), and a 32" Vizio TV shipped and left. I've also ordered TV's for work before and they just dropped them off in our warehouse, but I think if it's a decent sized TV, they will probably set something up with you.

Awesome. Do you have to pay tax?

Hmm ok thanks.

I am hearing a loud buzzing noise on my Panasonic Plasma G25 and the picture is kind of blurry. I don't know if this is a signal problem but my other television seems to be working alright so probably not. Someone help!

I am getting frustrated looking for a TV. I need help. What is the best TV that is 40" for gaming, my budget is £500 which is a lot for 40". I am from the UK, please don't just name TVs that are unavailable or hard to find, a simple link to where I can buy a TV would be appreciated, its getting frustrated, and the thing is my budget is flexible yet I still cannot find a decent 40" TV.

Buzzing is normal for plasmas. Is the picture blurriness a new thing that just happened to your set?

I'm in the market for a 40 - 50 " LED, but I want to keep it around $1000. I don't really care about extra features (although I wouldn't turn them away), I just want a nice picture. Any advice?

best place for throw distance on PJ's-

I don't think you're going to get 110" from 7' out of anything AFAIK. I have a super short throw in our movie room of about 9' and can get a max 106" screen out of a Panasonic AEU7000.

Panasonic and Mitsu are probably your best bets for short throw PJ's. From 7' you could probably get around an 80" screen which by its self is huge if your not used to it.

The buzzing is louder than usual and the picture blurriness and color changes just happened today. The colors looks very off, almost like I am watching something from the 80s, and the picture looks all blurry and fuzzy. I miss the old quality of televisions, Sony CRTs were built like a tank and mine from my childhood is still going.

Ouch, sounds like the panel is going out. How long have you had it?

Buy the Sony 42W653

A little above your budget but totally worth it. The fastest gaming TV on the market.

Maybe the problem was just a bad signal. I turned on my PS3 and the image looked fine. I turned off my PS3 and watched some news to test it out and my picture quality returned to normal.

Thinking about getting the Vizio M series 50 inch 3D 240 hz LED. It's going for 799 and I I got assurance that I'm covered if it goes on sale within 15 days ( Labor Day sale upcoming ). My questions are

1) Do any of you own it or have any knowledge about it? Vizio seems like a brand x type of deal but what I saw on the sales floor looked great.

2) Is 240 hz really that much better than 120 or should I use my money to buy a good 120 tv. It's going to be used primarily for gaming and streaming movies.

3) my budget is about 800 usd. Is there a tv that I'd be better off with at that price?

Thanks in advance to anyone with knowledge on any of the above that can help me out. I get cold feet when making major purchases so that's why I'm posting.

Out of curiosity, any one remember last years deals around Black Friday on Panny Plasma's.

I may have to wait until November to try and grab a 60 ST60?

Wow, they just canceled my S64 order two days after I ordered it and are now out of stock online (can't even get to the product page anymore). The closest Costco is like an hour and a half from me and I'm not driving that far for a stupid TV. Well this is disappointing.
