I hate when people think fuzzing up the PQ mesns "jaggies are gone", stop that nonsense.
Face it if the game has garbage AA it will be bad no matter if you put sharpness down to zero, leav sharpness in a spot where it still delivers clearness to the PQ without seeing outlines, dont fuzzy up the PQ thats dumb.
If you'll note what I actually wrote, I said during calibration sharpness will be set correctly. I'm not talking at all about "fuzzing up the PQ". There is in fact a proper setting for the sharpness control, that isn't simply turning it to 0, as some also incorrectly assume.
Sharpness controls artificially add a highlighting between light and dark areas, which makes them stand out more, but also hides detail. As a consequence of this highlighting, jaggies may be more noticeable.
Conversely, if sharpness is set properly, you won't have the highlighting which would accentuate the jaggies.
I'm actually agreeing with you here - your tv sharpness shouldn't be used a means of AA to fix bad game design. But if you're going to quote me, don't make blanket assumptions about what I meant about setting sharpness.
