Consoles just work and I'll give you a perfect example.

PSVR 2 vs PCVR

Everything with PSVR 2 works every single time with zero issues.

PCVR is way more of a hassle.

PCVR has amazing benefits like mods and a bigger library....but ease of use is not one of them.

It's partially why I'm soooo excited for PS5 Pro.

I haven't got stuttering with my main build.
I do get countless cheating in multiplayer games which is one of the reasons in most cases I find the console versions superior.

Yeah I'm not risking a house fire. The components themselves lasting is the part I worry least about (used to keep my old machines up almost 24/7 at times).

GAF is a niche of a niche. I'm talking about the real world. How many players do you think actually give a crap about those minimal stutters DF fishes out that people post here? Or get ocd about having to turn every option in the graphics settings to the max? Theres a reason why console players dont complain about stutters despite tests showing a lot of those "bad pc ports" often have the same problems on the console version (sillent hill 2 being the newest one). Because the average console player doesn't notice nor gives a shit, neither does the average PC player that goes on to give very positive reviews to these games.

Dude i'm sorry but the last problem i encountered was a blue screen about 2 months ago, and a simple reboot fixes that. Cant even remember the last time i had a problem before that.

I do look after my PC though, which a lot of people dont.

Cheating absolutely exists, and you're more likely to see it on games with larger player bases. There are a ton of COD and Elden Ring cheating compilations on YouTube because it's not uncommon.

It's not my argument to back. I'm questioning using MAU to estimate hardware sales numbers and I've given the reason why you can't do this. That's not "a feeling" that's a very obvious flaw in methodology, the fact that I hypothesise it can be significant is a feeling that you disagree with but you've provided no quantifiiable evidence one way or the other. This 30-40 million that excludes laptops, datacenters, "professional" (how would they even know if I use it to mine or for 3dsmax?) and AI, what's the source of this? That is a more reliable method, looking at actual sales.

To each their own. I do love the performance of games on PC but the rest was crap. Why do some of my game icons look like shit in Steam big picture mode (especially older games)? Why does the resolution look like shit in steam big picture mode? Why does me adjusting the resolution make my trophy notifications tiny as shit in big picture mode. Why is my controller disconnecting in steam big picture mode? Why can't I easily minimize the game and go talk to my friends in discord with a controller? Why is my game crashing cause I minimized to join a discord? Why cant I easily type in my name in a steam game with my controller for game that is requesting it? Why is exiting a game such a process on Steam still?

I really tried but the shit is annoying and while you might have no trouble googling shit for your issues I have limited time and I'm not wasting in troubleshooting anything.

Pcs are more tedious my man it's definitely gonna be the best looking version assuming you have the proper hardware to back that but it's not worth the hassle or price for me to see a water reflection one mile in the distance lol I was 75% mainly pc gaming until about 2015 I remember the days pcs weren't even streamlined and legit could be annoying but the insane differences and advantages they had over console games made it 100% worth it...just not that anymore but enjoy your advanced ray tracing

I'm saying comfort for what you get also the price...do you remember when battlefield on pc made the xbox360 version look a generation or 2 behind?? That was worth the "hassle" but yeah if you want the Uber graphics you definitely got it

Just some water reflection? What about the free online, being able to access the game's files and it's saves to do whatever, the community patches, the mods, the custom servers, the miriad of exclusives, being able to use whatever gamepad/peripheral you want, the back-compatibility, being able to enjoy your new hardware update without having to wait for a patch, emulation, being able to set the graphics how you like instead of choosing between 2 or 3 modes that might not even let you disable shit like motion blur or chromatic aberration, etc plus all the non-gaming stuff you can do on a PC that you can't on a console.
