has anyone else experienced the "cannot access the memory card" issue when playing anything digital with a 64gb memory card? tried googling and no one seems to have an answer how to fix it, only noticed it in the last couple weeks since i mainly play physical games

I recommend you do the following;
-Take your memory card out and blow on the golden strips on the bottom of the card
-Take your memory card out and blow into the slot that holds it
-Re-build your data base and re-set your Vita
-Let the Vita die and let it stay 'dead' for a few hours, then re-charge it and turn it one
-Look through your settings and see how much space you have left
-Contact Sony and explain your issue to them; they will ask if you can send your Vita and/or Memory Card in
-Buy a new memory card for now

Some of those options aren't great but I hope this helps you somehow.

I'm sorry this happened to your memory card . Those things might as well be the Vita's life-lines considering its digital nature, so I hope something helps in making your Vita work again.

Sometimes I wonder if the 32 and 64 cards have a higher failure rate or if it is simply the case of more rabid, vocal Vita owners having them. You rarely hear about someone's 8 or 16 messing up though.

Mine is fine *knock on wood*, so I guess its a case of people not either keeping their MC's clean, dropping there Vita too many times or the cards dying out (which sadly happens with MC's of all kinds ).

I know I will be picking up another MC at some point (likely import a 64GB card before the end of the year), but its smart to keep the MC safe to ensure it lasts a long time.

As you can see, the Vita is home to lots of games of all kinds and I strongly recommend picking one up .

And I will repeat what I said a few times in the past; I personally believe the PS Vita is a much healthier console in comparison to the Wii U. So, the trade off you are making is well worth it . Just make sure you pick up a 16-32GB Memory card and a year of Plus and you are set with the Vita .

Just keep in mind a few games on my list don't work on Vita normally:
-A few PSP games (Tomb Raider Legend/Anniversary, Sega Genesis Collection, VC3) required a PS3 to transfer over too.
-Some PS1 games like Crash/Spyro and PSP games like MGS Portable Ops/Twisted Metal don't work at all on NA PSN due to licencing issues (only have them on my Vita thanks to the great glitch of 2014)
-PS Mobile will be ending July 14th, so those PS Mobile games will not be able to purchased on the PS Vita store front after that date sadly .

As you can see, the Vita is home to lots of games of all kinds and I strongly recommend picking one up .

And I will repeat what I said a few times in the past; I personally believe the PS Vita is a much healthier console in comparison to the Wii U. So, the trade off you are making is well worth it . Just make sure you pick up a 16-32GB Memory card and a year of Plus and you are set with the Vita .

Regarding UMvC3 on Vita, there is good and bad:
-Good: The game runs great on the Vita and its very close to a 1-to-1 port of the PS3 version . The loading times are a bit long but its worth it considering how smooth it plays on Vita
-Bad: The game was de-listed on PSN sadly . Same thing with the DLC (so no playable Jill or Shuma-Gorath or using the DLC costumes). But if you own the PS3 version and got the DLC content prior, its cross-buy so that should be in your download list. You can still play the game on Vita through a retail copy and the online-servers should still work (as they share and work with the PS3 version).

Sucks the game isn't on PSN anymore, but if you can find a retail version at a good price, highly recommend it .

Besides, I'm sure the NX will be BC with the Wii U regardless, so if he/she decides to trade in the Wii U in favor of a Vita with tons of value (MC's being included is a steal XD!), he/she can get a those games for the NX latter on if he/she is interested in getting them.

Don't mean to be negative or anything, but after this E3, I'm a bit more negative whenever Nintendo comes into the discussion and that mixed with my love of the Vita....leads me to favor the Vita a lot more then Nintendo right now :l.

If you want the best deal, maybe talk to some people on NeoGaf and see if they are interested in buying your Wii U for 200-250. Your bundle is clearly worth a lot of money (a good....300-400$ with the games, Amiibo and console), so I'm sure you can get quite a lot with your bundle .

It's your call, man. I wouldn't do it, but if you feel you're done with it, might as well get something you'll make more use of. And the Vita is a great system, so you're not exactly getting a bad deal.

I'd value that PS Vita stuff at a little over 200 and the Wii U with all that at around 400, both prices US, and that's without knowing exactly what stuff was on that VC.

The only game on the Vita list that has any real monetary value is P4G and even that goes on sale often. Meanwhile you have a big list of valuable games on the Wii U, two valuable controllers, even some amiibo.

So unless those Memory Cards are of the two larger sizes the trade is decidedly uneven.

I know that I am missing out on a number of Nintendo games like Kirby's Canvas Cruse, Splatoon and others due to not owning a Wii U....but the games I really wanted (Mario Kart 8, Smash Bros.), I can play similar or direct ports of the games through Mario Kart 7 and Smash 3DS. So, from my personally opinion, I am happy not owning a Wii U due to having a lot of other great Nintendo games to play on my 2DS . I am very sorry if I came off as ignorant or anything; didn't mean to do that :l.

And considering Nintendo's history with BC (the Wii had it with GC, and the Wii U had it with the Wii), I strongly think that they will do the same with the NX and Wii U. Again, sorry if I came off as ignorant regarding that.

That is a good point and that was just on 3DS. Now they are making a game in the series for up to five platforms at once (PS4, X1, Wii U, Vita and PC)......the wait for the game will be a while . A port of Pirates Curse and Riskys Revenge would be fantastic on Vita as while the later game is very weak, I would love to own both games on my Vita .

I am so excited for Digimon. Not even DD-only could deflate my excitement.

When's the next possible announcement date/event for GE2 localization?

We have GamesCom (where the game can be the 'big' game for Bamco), Paris Games Show (where Sony will be having a press conference and that could be where God Eater 2 RB or God Eater Resurrection could be announced for the west, considering they are also coming to PS4) and the PSX (as a surprise announcement for the Vita's 2016 line-up).

We also have the anime airing (as it will be a world wide one), where they could do a number of things to hype up the announcement (live stream prior/after the anime's airing, press-release of the game, trailer of the US/EU versions as an ending for the first episode, ect).

Oh, kinda like how One Piece World Red got announced; a trailer online and a press-release announcing the systems its coming too.

Considering the anime is coming, I could even picture the game being announced around the time the anime airs for maximum marketing potential.

And it being physical PS4/digital Vita has been a bit of a trend with Bamco's Vita efforts (with some exceptions like Tales of Hearts R and One Piece World Red getting limited retail runs with GameStop in the US).

Fostered the indie community?A big part of that died with PS Mobile. And most definitely haven't fostered Japanese publishers or developers - they just know where it will sell and that isn't on PS4. Most of them would have moved out to mobile or find another way to survive if Vita didnt work out for niche devs.

The software sales on PS4 isn't going to all of sudden start selling when those games come out on PS4.
And it will be different audience.

I disagree, some developers started out on PS Mobile are now making either native Vita titles or PS4/ PC and other platforms.

It wasn't insignificant. There have been many good stuff and Sony killed it.

I hope that this is something Nintendo can pull off with their next device - a platform that crosses not only with mobile developers but also creators who want to start up on consoles and publish their stuff. Since clearly Sony missed their opportunity by half assing PS Mobile from the start to end and they dont plan to have a future on portabile gaming.

Also, I'm going to do it, I think. I've played through all the titles I've wanted to on Wii U (had SM3DW, but gave it to a friend and had Bayo 2 but did a GAFaway for it)

I'm not interested in Splatoon, and if I want to scratch the MMO itch, I already have WoW or FFXIV to sink my teeth into, along with a JRPG fix from Steam or PSN

Plus, Vita has Digimon, Binding of Isaac, Geometry Wars, Dragon Quest Heroes 2/Builders, a bunch of VNs, etc coming out... Those are more interesting to me at this point than Mario Tennis, Xenoblade, Star Fox (which I think will get a port to their next platform or handheld anyways), etc



If you can find me a better solution out, I'd love to hear it lol. I have no real use for the Wii U anymore and I've been trying to get cash for it forever. :/

The value of the stuff you are giving away is way higher than what you're getting in exchange. Wii u and Vita are very good consoles , both of them, content wise I prefer Vita , because for me playing indie games in a home console its not exactly something I prefer. I would recommend the next options if you really want a Vita and don't care for keeping the wii u anymore.
1) sell your Wii u stuff separately , selling the wii u at a steal price but the controllers etc sell them in different bids.
2) exchange your Wii u for a Vita do not exchange every stuff you are giving away, keep some stuff sell it separately
3)ask for some money plus the Vita in order to exchange it.
4) just do the change knowing you are losing money but you may gain months of fun with the little console, that of course if you like the Vita catalogue as it is.

The problem is that no one wants to buy it for more than $175 - $200 on CL/Kijiji and trade in at EB Games or Best Buy is going to get me ~$100.

Vita is very worth there's no doubt about that, even if it's easy to find a vita for cheap there's no way you can buy a vita with all those things for 100-200$ so if you really don't want the wiiu anymore i would suggest you to do it, even if imo 100-200$ for the wiiu + all those things is way too low but i guess that nothing can be done about that.

I wish they would streamline the process for uploading screenshots and videos on PS4.

After selecting "Upload", you might have to wait for a few seconds ("Please wait..."). The duration varies, but just now I had to wait for ~8 seconds. Then you have to select where you want to upload it to. If you use Twitter, you can now optionally enter a Tweet message before confirming the upload. If you use YouTube, you can enter a video description, change the privacy setting, edit the video tags and decide whether to post a link to the video to Twitter before confirming the upload.
Don't know about the options for the other sites (Facebook, Dailymotion), as I don't use them.

It's great that you can do all these things, but you shouldn't have to. Personally, I'm using a second, private Twitter account for uploading screenshots which I follow with my main account. I post screenshots on GAF, not Twitter. By using two accounts, I can conveniently upload them so I can access them on my computer without publicly posting them. That's why I never enter a Tweet message. That screen is just an extra step for me.

It's even worse with YouTube: Usually, I want to share rather short recordings. Similar to my Twitter workflow, I'm setting the privacy status of the videos to Unlisted, so I can convert them into GIFs (or share the video link, if the GIF would be too big) for posting them on GAF. So I need neither video description nor tags.
For some reason, the "Post Link" option is enabled by default. So every single time I upload a video, I have to go through the upload settings screen, select Unlisted, and disable the Post Link option. It's annoying.

I wish I could just select "Upload" and continue playing.

I've been trying to sell the Wii U for 2/3rds of a year and this is the best offer I've ever gotten :\

if you've been trying to sell it and can't, and you like the deal, just go for it. ultimately it doesn't matter if one person is getting a slightly better deal or not (that's almost always the case), what matters is that both are happy with what they are getting.

You're getting a nice selection of games, and a vita. That's pretty awesome. Even the 'shittier' games you list aren't bad (Unit 13 is really good, if a bit budget feeling at times, and feels like a heavy influence on KZ Mercs. DH is a budget diablo type game).
