So good news is my friend who let me borrow his ps4 yesterday, and had to take it back, will give it back to me this evening, as he just needed it for an office party. So I'll get another shot at it.

Hopefully I can figure out what's causing this drift issue, gonna try taping down the camera to prevent any slight drift/movement causes by he thick wire. If that doesn't work, also going to turn off the lights completely (had a set on off to the side, off camera, no reflective surfaces behind me), or try to sit closer.

I wish they were less vague about improvements Pro will bring to PSVR
Yeah, same here. But can't blame them. They don't want to repeatedly say just what kind of an experience you'll be missing if you don't have the Pro. They want the standard PS4 owners to feel good about how VR is on their system. I'm guessing we won't start hearing that much about VR Pro enhancements until about a week or so before the Pro launch. By that time, there willl be a few weeks worth of good word of mouth for VR on the standard PS4.

Also, even right now when a dev mentions something about their game having Pro VR enhancements, it honestly ends up seeming like like devs have been told to generally avoid giving details regarding Pro enhancements. But still, it could very well be that they are still working on those enhancements even as we speak, hence don't want to make certain promises just yet.

A dev on gaf once mentioned that aside from the obvious increase in power for the GPU+CPU, available RAM/speed, there's something else about the Pro that benefits VR. Really curious about what that could be and just what kind of benefits will it bring.

Head turn in Rigs made me feel really bad. No idea if it's just me, but that as the suggested setting is terrible. Also they need to give you the option to turn off the visor right away. Super annoying.

Anyone else got the flickering pixels issue I have? It's like specs of dust the way random pixels all over my screen light up for s split second. Not heard anyone else mention it but it's pretty noticeable! Doesn't happen in every game, just some.

How many demo's do the EU get? The same ones as US?

On the EU disc in the package you have 8 demos. When you download the EU demo-disc only three demos are missing. I think they are Gnog, Kitchen and within. Just download the US demo-disc and you are good.

And do you need the move controllers to play any of the demo's?

I honestly don't know. But some of them can be played with Moves. For example Until Dawn: Rush of blood.

What's up with the Invasion App? Boot it up and get to an open space with some logos that makes noises when you point your head on them and that's it. There's no movie selection or anything. Left it for ages and nothing happens. Any ideas?

Also had to download separate demo for SuperHyperCube to be able to play it. wouldn't give me an option to launch it from the Demo Disc

Is EVE Valkyrie on the EU store a demo from which you then purchase the full game?

I had that and assumed it was because I'm in UK and downloaded the US demo disc - only had triangle to buy, nothing to try.

Wow, PSVR is incredible. Exactly what I was hoping for.

However, I'm not sure if I have a slightly faulty unit, and would appreciate your thoughts...

The headset fits great, and I can get it in focus etc, and I pull the screen all the way in no problems. What I do have is at the very outer edge of where the lenses are, I can see the lights from display almost refracting off the edge...

It's only really visible when the screen is lighter - almost like my peripheral vision is seeing a light distortion where the lens bends. To be clear, it is not like light bleed you would typically get on the edge of a TV screen - it really is like the lens reflecting the light, and due to the curvature of the lens, it becomes visible and distorted.

I can live with it, but I'm just not sure if it is like this for other people, or I should take it back?

Sounds normal to me. I get that but only really notice it on the bright white loading screens, but yeah, it's there.

So, is it worth getting move controllers? Looking to grab a PSVR

Of course! Nearly every game that supports PS Move is directly more immersive. Alone Batman: Arkham VR is justifying the purchase. PSVR works without Move controllers, but they really help getting immersed.

Yeah, this was the only game I had time to play yesterday, and I thought it was awesome, but the head turn control scheme made me feel slightly ill for almost 2 hours after playing. Going to try to play a shorter amount today and switch to the right stick controls.

Last night was fine, until I decided to try the stick controls in RIGS and messed around with those settings. Boy did my brain not like that. Felt a lump in my throat after like 5 minutes on the practice course.

Had to stop for the night after that, but before then wow I was having a blast. The intro to RIGS is mind blowing!!

What's the best way of cleaning the lenses? I assume I am OK to use monitor/pc cleaning wipes?

I've found the included cloth does jack shit, so I'm just using a regular microfibre cloth like I have been using for my phone screen, glasses and other shiny surfaces and it works great.

It's so subjective isn't it, as I'm loving the head turn controls. I find it much more natural than right stick. I love jumping all over the maps and haven't felt the slightest bit of nausea yet

Forgot to mention, I already own a Vive. So far I'm thinking probably grab if there is a nice bundle or something

My tracking info has been showing that my psvr was going to be delivered on Monday, but when I woke up this morning and checked it, it was showing that it's out for delivery!

So it seems like me and maybe 2 other members are experiencing tracking issues, or are there other people and they are just living with it?

Specifically Until Dawn is the game where it is most apparent. The arms flail all over the place.

Every game, the world felt as if it was jumping to the left. Thumper was the only game I did not have issues.

Sleeping on it, I am starting to wonder if perhaps my Kinect was interfering with things even though it is behind everything as I only use it for my voice. I am going to try having my XBox One completely off. It was on last night as I use it to power down my TV and Receiver, but maybe that was it.

Other than that I am at a fucking loss. Truly and sincerely.

I'm really kind of wanting this VR. Would it be better to buy it now, then trade my PS4 towards the pro or wait and trade my OG PS4 towards VR?

This is because your HDMI signal is weak. Either use a shorter cable or a fatter one. I had something that sounds very similar, flickering green, blue and red pixels, like a multi-coloured star-scape.

I did notice having to reset the controller orientation a few times in the Robot Rescue part of Playroom, and I think the headset may have been offset too at that point (dunno if resetting the controller also recalibrates the headset?

I have slight drift issues. When playing rez and eve last night the screen slightly drifts left so I have to turn my head slightly to keep the picture centered, the re center option doesnt fix it. It was way worse when I first started but moved the camera closer to about 6ft. I have a light controlled theater room so its no a light issue. My camera sits lower than my seating, so I may try a tripod or something and see if it resolves the issue. I have used all the device tools and it hasnt fixed the issue.

Yep I started to notice that on the US Demo Disk where you pick your demo. I didn't notice it at first, then when I noticed it I couldn't stop seeing it. Didn't notice it anywhere else. It may be that it became more noticeable as evening wore on and the room became darker.

And yes, its the blue LED's, well spotted, I was trying to think what it was.

Could one of you that have rock steady tracking at any distance try this?

- Sit 3 meters away from the camera
- Enter the PS Demo disc menu that shows all the game titles
- Turn 90 degrees to your left or right so you are perpendicular to the camera
- Hold Option for two seconds to resync the view

This should result in the game titles drifting left to right instead of front to back which would be easier to notice. I just wonder if the people that say "no problems" just have a higher tolerance or if it is a difference in setups/hardware.

Since PS VR has this mode for viewing any HDMI output, and a standard (I believe?) USB connection, could it be pretty likely that it could be used to control PC VR games? If that happens, I will buy this immediately.

Its a general rule to never use a stick to turn in VR unless your game is a cockpit game. Does Rigs not utilize a cockpit? If it does you may just be sensitive to that form of motion sickness. Try another cockpit game to test if you can.

Do you know a good source for 360° videos and photos?

Try one of the free porn websites...lol

The PSVR is so ace, utterly awesome. love it. Today my head is buzzing, just thinking all the time of my VR experiences last night. really hard to concentrate on anything else.

My wife was so sceptical, she deigned to try it, so she could trash it, and I put her on Rush of Blood (she loves horror films). She was knocked out. She kept saying inane things like: Oh god; this is nuts; how can they do this; look I can see that tree; this is amazing; I'm here I'm actually here. She wouldn't stop, played it for almost an hour and wouldn't let me take it off her. She said its like having a top Disney theme ride in the house.

So far so good with the sickness and had no issue with most of the experiences.

Had one race on Driveclub and felt okay. Was a little bit disappointed with how it looked - thought it would look better. Made sure to have no major crashes. Will see how that goes through the rest of the game.

The one game that made me feel a bit unsettled was one of the Playroom games. It was the platforming one where you can run the character up and down the level and can look left and right to see the rest of the area. The issues occurred for me when the camera moves to keep up with your character. It doesn't move with you like an on rails game would, but moves up to your character when you move forward a set distance. As this is a periodic movement and one which you can't control, i found it unsettling and had to sit down. Anyone else experience this?

Yep, it's all fine, no 'breathing', no title banners shifting right and left. It's all stable.

Looking for demos on EU PSN. EVE Valkyrie said "download", so I did, wasn't aware there was a demo. 12GB install and I just got a trophy after playing a few minutes - have I somehow got the full game? Is it possible for someone to purchase games for you and for you to not know? Or a pricing error? Or it's a demo with a paid unlock somewhere and a free trophy? Or...?

From ps4 I went to PSVR > Games > All the way to the right to See All > EVE: Valkyrie (lus Founder's Pack). If I look now it says "Not available for purchase". "Tell Me More>>" says "not able to purchase: You already own: EVE: Valkyrie".

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I'm having such a great time with it. London Heist made my palms sweat, Job Simulator had me giddy, and I got totally lost in Thumper.

I read a couple reviews on Wayward Sky saying it wasn't really worth it? But that demo i had a blast with. Anyone recommend the full game or no?

btw, is it technically possible to connect a PSVR + a Dualshock 4 + a PS move at the same time?

the move controller lacks the thumb stick, while the DS4 has
* a thumbstick
* a gyroscope
* a lightbar

would devs be able to create games that make use of a setup like that?

The crazy thing about VR is the experience that you get from it. It's crazy. I've been playing video games for almost 40 years and VR is such a unique experience. I was lying in bed last night and remembering some of the experiences I had with vivid accuracy. Maybe it's just me but I think this is gonna be even better five or ten years from now.

Other than that, anyone know how long Battlezone's campaign is and you can play it co-op right?

Yes, it would be possible. But I don't think that any game is using it right now. But I could connect the PSVR, a DS4 and two Move controllers without a problem.

Yeah lol, it does have a head turn function but they give you the option of using stick..thought I'd try it out. But messing with the turn angle and dead zone settings really gave me that disconnect feeling with the right stick and i had a bad reaction to it. Next time I play Im going straight back to the full head controls

Yeah and games did use this on PS3 a lot (you could use the DS3 controller with your left hand, if you didn't own a Navi controller).

I hope PSVR devs do start using it because it works great for games where you will want full freedom of movement.

I've almost impulse bought PSVR at least 5 times in the last 24hrs.

The only thing that really stops me is that I have gear vr.

The bundle is 700 here in Canada. Games are expensive on VR.

There's just no way I can justify that amount of money.
