Thanks for the clarification PokeBro. I've been afraid of using up my precious hour this entire time until I got solid information on how I could use it to snag my Espeon. I'll just go ahead and tuck in my Scraggy now without fear!

Does hitting the RNG seed for IVs also determine which pokemon you run into in wild grass? Cause I'm trying to get a perfect ditto but keep running into the exact same clefairy no matter what I do

When you start the game, two different RNGs are seeded (the IVRNG and PIDRNG). The PIDRNG determines the wild Pokémon you find; it can be advanced by walking through grass, saving, or viewing Chatot's summary when it has a custom cry recorded.
Does the Clefairy have perfect IVs, by the way? If not, you're not hitting the right seed/frame advancement.

A few Pokémon don't have Dream World art yet, so can't be put to sleep. Try a different Pokémon.

Sorry if this has been answered a million times - I have a Pokemon craving - would it make more sense to pick up a DSi XL to play it or just go for the 3DS? I've heard DS games don't look so hot on the 3DS, but by the same token - surely it makes more sense to future proof myself with a 3DS?

The game looks fine on the 3ds to me. I guess if you're interested in future 3ds games it'd be a good choice since the ds is essentially dead to nintendo.

It seems you are supposed to upload your first pokemon BEFORE entering your Online ID into the website or you get problems like this.

This plus the fact that you can't edit your game ID if you typed it wrong is just plain stupid.

It's supposed to be easy for kids Nintendo .... KIDS ! ....

I still managed to get in last night despite doing things in the "wrong" order. That screen with Fennel on it doesn't automatically let you in, by the way. You have to try to re-enter from the main global link page after a while.

Oh shit, you know what sucks? Not keeping up with everyone even though I'm still regularly playing the game. Right now I'm in the middle of a massive team restructure and the only thing doing that has shown me is that Eelektross and Hydreigon are too fucking badass. In all of the changes I've done, those two alone managed to stay as permanent members of the main crew. Now I'm experimenting with a Dark Pulse Gothitelle special sweeper (damn you Modest nature for being so hard to get, though hasty seems just as good) and the three starters from Gen 4 (double types galore in their final forms and the only gen whose Pokemon I have yet to get really acquainted with).

this is incorrect. i entered in my game sync id and registered it with the site before uploading a pokemon. i was able to access dreamworld an hour or two later.

How are you supposed to water berries? I visit someone's house and it says I have 20 units of water left but I don't know what to do with it.

EDIT: So getting a Pokemon from the tree means you can't visit the forest any more that day. I should remember that for tomorrow.
