Pokémon Go |OT| As in "Go Outside"

Got quite a few today though my biggest catch has to be this guy~ :D

He was a ???CP guy too so I got lucky catching him with only 3 normal Pokeballs~

Have I lowered the gyms prestige any? Or do you have to defeat every single one?


Similar question for a gym that is your own color, am I helping by fighting there and not defeating every Pokemon?

Hey guys, I had a question about downloading this early using an American account.

I'm in Canada on iOS. I have to change my region to the United States, make an American iTunes account, download Pokemon GO, and then change my region back to Canada, right? I was wondering whether switching back to my Canadian iTunes account would still let me play the game afterward? Will the progress I make on my American account transfer to my Canadian account? I'm not entirely sure how it works, but I'd rather unify everything under one account instead of having to switch back and forth.
 
I left my house at midnight last night and stayed out catching pokemon with ~30 strangers for 4 hours. We chain lured a 3-pokestop area by the ocean in san Francisco.

Everyone is playing this game!
 
Just so I have some peace of mind, what are the blades of grass that pop up around the map? Is it Pokemon? Is it other people playing the game?

I thought it was Pokemon at first but I would be walking all over these grass spots with no Pokemon appearing.

It's supposed to be Pokemon, but the game is kinda buggy atm so sometimes they don't pop up like they are supposed to.
 
Walk around downtown was ok. Server issues at times made it near impossible to locate better Pokémon when the footprints wouldn't update properly. I'll have you next time ghastly, jigglypuff and jinx....

I'm way too out of shape...

Ah ok, hopefully they fix that.

I was walking around the park and somebody I ran into caught a Lapras that had over 2000 CP. I was like oh shit.

It's a cute game but barebones. Id love to think this will expand to battling friends and having pokemon be in proper locations (water pokemon near water only, pokemon coming out depending on weather and climate)

Id love catching pokemon exclusively during a storm in my area



I know it's a phone game, but perhaps battling will improve to be somewhat like the nintendo games?

The gym concept is very cool. I cant believe someone didnt do this idea sooner



Also, the game should not work when you are driving a certain speed.
 
Anyone else ever get logged out by the app and can't login again? Pretty sure I remember my login info but it says wrong credentials. Found this from gamefaqs with similar issues and people say it's due to Club Pokemon being down:

Did a username lookup and keep getting the generic "popular demand new account sign up working on it blah blah" screen. Guess I just gotta wait? Frustrating to say the least. Saw that I could quickly get into a new account via my google one linked to my phone, might just stick with that method if the poke club is so unreliable. Only a day's worth of progress lost anyhow ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
 
They should sell range extenders. Those would sell


I hope they completely revamp how to find pokemon. Time of day, weather, climate should all be taken into account. Itd totally be addictice and special to catch something like a jigglypuff on a full moon, at night

Can they do that?
 
I'm at the Mall of America, and every phone screen I've caught a glance of has had Pokémon Go running

Doesnt have anything to do specifically with suburbs vs city or whatever. I live in the suburbs. There's 2 park pokestops and 1 church pokestop within 1 mile of me.

They do that to some extent, water pokemon are more common near water and different pokemon are out at night then day, but to completely hard lock water pokemon to being near water would be horrible for people in the middle of countries or far from water.
 
Nintendo should have partnered with a smartwatch maker(s) and released a companion app for it that works similar to the Pokemon Go Plus badge.
 
Seeing loads of lures being dropped in the city centre here, may have to wander out tonight or tomorrow to see if anyone's hovering around and get some catches. City Centtre living is seriously gonna keep me hooked on this game, pokestop in range of my flat and a gym in range of my office, looking forward to seeing how that goes with folks at work.
 
can you change your team after you pick one?

I was just tapping recklessly and accidentally chose the herb squad aka blue instead of red.
