So, now that I'm done with the single-player portion of the game, I'm looking to build somewhat decent teams for singles and doubles. For singles team, so far I have:
Aerodactyl @Aerodactylite (Male, Adamant, Pressure)
IVs 31/20/25/11/28/30
EVs 12/252/0/0/0/240
Rock Slide - Aerial Ace - Earthquake - Substitute
Muk @Black Sludge (Female, Quirky, Sticky Hold)
IVs: 20-21/17-18/28/13-14/30/10-11
EVs: 252/252/0/0/0
Poison Jab - Focus Punch - Pain Split - Substitute
Kingdra @That rain-lengthening stone (Female, Modest, Swift Swim)
IVs: ??? (lost to time)
EVs: ??? (probably some speed and lots of SpAtk)
Dragon Pulse - Yawn - Surf - Rain Dance
So far, I've realized that Aerodactyl can be an OK attacker but is mauled by priority moves, and that Kingdra gets walled to death by nearly any fairy-type. I'm thinking about adding a regenerator Tangrowth, my old Gen 4 Forretress (Stealth Rock, Toxic Spikes, Rapid Spin, Explosion) and Houndoom (Flamethrower, Dark Pulse, Nasty Plot and some fourth move).
From this gen, I'd probably like to add Aegislash (or Duoblade with Eviolite?), and perhaps something with a priority move. I saw that my favorite, a shiny Venomoth, got Quiver Dance a gen ago... is it at least halfway decent alongside its Tinted Lens ability? I was thinking of a set such as Sludge Bomb/Bug Buzz/Quiver Dance/Sleep Powder.
Is there any way I can actually run Contrary Shuckle anywhere? Sadly, all I can think about is that it can use Shell Smash as some kind of horrible Cosmic Power substitute, and even then it'd often end up being free setup bait or get Toxic thrown at it.
Since my taste in pokémon mostly dooms me to dwell the RU/NU tiers for all eternity, I guess I could actually go ahead and make the team for those tiers, right? <_<
