If it helps any, I used an Audio with Simple Beam to target Nidoran♀ to scout its ability. Most of the time it wasn't what I wanted to so I ran away instead of fighting the horde. I spent about 40 minutes with this approach to capture a hidden ability Nidoran♀.

I caught one a few weeks ago in a horde. Ghost tree is awesome. One I have now is just in my shiny Pokedex. Plan on breeding one specifically for IVs though to be an awesome usable one.

Its by far my favourite shiny for this gen!

Apparently there is a o-power for egg hatching. That will make things much easier. Just need to actually do something about style to get it.. apparently there are other things to sped it up as well, that will come in handy. Currently using the Masuda method to hopefully hatch a shiny Eevee

I'm really glad I can reset my base stats for Pokemon now with the Super Training stuff. Used the reset bag with my Gardevoir so I can max out her Sp.Atk and put stats in Sp.Def and a little in HP/Speed.

Getting closer on filling out my region Pokedex

Edit: Looks like without knowing it, I was already speeding up egg hatching most of the time when I had one of my main Fire Pokemon with Flame Body in my party. haha

Yar, you can buy around 100 Premier Balls from the Poke Ball store 1 at a time. It's a bit repetitive, but gets the job done quick.

I think you just need to shop around 100 times and the Premier Ball is the cheapest item you can buy from Lumiose. Plus you can use it to catch Pokemon : P

(Also just to make it clearer, because I know my grammar is a bit wonky sometimes: you need to buy 1 Premier Ball roughly 100 times.)

Yeah, if you use the bargain power you can sell them afterwards and get all your money back.

Balloon Popping is literally just random prize, regardless of how you do. I've gotten Dusk Stones at D Rank.

For the sake of competition, I'm not going to care too much for shiny breeding, only 6iv, I'm just waiting for a 6iv starly to come up so I can move onto the next poke.

My plan so far is:

Haxorus - insurance and reliability
Mega Tyranitar
Skarmory - stealth rock and other stuff
Flygon - toxic dragon tail roost
Carracosta
Staraptor - he's big and bad and gonna fuck shit up

Tho I will admit that flygon and skarmory can potentially be redundant, Gardevoir or Garchomp are options as is Mawile, garchomp gonna garchomp and fairies for randomness.

Thoiugh mostly would be a chance for me to replay Gold/Silver, as been long long time since I've played those and never played the DS remakes. Only issue there is that to transfer to X/Y I'd need to get Pokemon Black series to transfer to first, since I believe the Poke Transporter thing only works on the core gen 5 series.

Don't bother with 6IV unless the Pokémon is a mixed sweeper. It takes way too long, and a 6IV Pokémon isn't any better than a 5IV.

Unless it's a mixed sweeper, it's actually best for the Attack stat IV to be low, so that you don't do as much damage to yourself when confused.

That's what I'll probably do. For now might just get a retail copy of Y and quickly play through to get the legionaries. With Pokemon Bank, I can easily just give myself high level Pokemon early on to blast through any defense. :lol

Speaking of 6IV, just gotten a 6IV Rash Female Snorunt. Seems like I have my new Froslass.

Yep. Even with two 6IV parents, Masuda method, and Shiny Charm, the probability of getting a 6IV shiny is ~1/15,000. Have fun.

Wow, I'd never considered what the odds were for this. I guess the stars aligned for me a few months ago when I hatched a shiny 6IV Charmander without the Shiny Charm, or even using the Masuda Method. I was just trying to get a competitive Charizard Y.

On the other hand, I can't really be jealous, with a shiny 30/31/30/31/31/31 Hasty Iron Fist Chimchar (the IVs make no difference at level 50, and give the the option of using Hidden Power Ice)
