Can you get the TM for the ability anywhere? That way I can just catch one of the Pokemon that can use it, but at a high level.

Abilities aren't moves. Abilities are the automatic abilities a pokemon has built-in. The page I linked you to lists all of the pokemon that have pickup. The way it works is that when a pickup pokemon is not holding an item, it has a chance to pick up an item during the battle. The pokemon does not need to actually participate. To make pickup more effective, you should have all 6 slots be pickup pokemon.Eteric Rice said:

No, just win the battle. No switching needed, all 6 pokemon have a chance of picking up an item regardless of whether or not they participate in the battle. I suggest getting some zigzagoons and giving them surf. Then go find an area with low level pokemon that are weak to water, like geodudes and onix.Eteric Rice said:

Looking at the field images and the images of the 3 Pokeballs, it seems like they have done further "cleaning up" of their psuedo-3D and "3D" problems with a few areas (especially the pokeballs, they dont look Jagged (in the pictures on the site). The 1st Person'spective view looks quite impressive actually.

X is to open up the menu and A is to examine things, but they're also on the touch screen, so it looks like they're making it so you don't have to use the buttons for stuff if you don't want to. You can just use the touch screen to interact with people/things or do something in the menu. Maybe you can use the running shoes and a shortcut item this way too.
Pokegear's not there though, so I guess you get it at a different point in the game.

Most of the pokemon introduced in Gen 3 were useless analogues of the 251 that preceded them, the only cool ones to come out of Gen 3 were the Regi's, Zangoose, Seviper, Absol, Flygon and the Duskull line. The 4th gen pokemon are all awesome except for the trio of Uxie, Azelf, and Mesprit. They're just dumb, I'm so glad Plat has the original birds as well as the 3 regi's.

Actually, I'll have to agree that at least Registeel is cool. Heck, all three stand out to me more than any other 3rd Gen Pokemon, and their non-organic theme actually has more of a 4th Gen vibe if anything.
I'm indifferent about the trio, but I agree that 4th Gen Pokemon are a huge step in the right direction, kind of between 1st & 2nd Gen in art style.

They don't really look like "pokemon" to me. They are like that damn "Nosepass" thing or w/e it's called . . . big, emotionless rock, robot things. Don't look scary, don't look strong, don't look "cute" . . . don't look like anything other than boring to me. I just don't like pokemon that have that look . . . I personally think it's VERY likely that this will be one of their highlights for the DS with a winter 09/ TBA release date and maybe some new info. Mainly because Pokemon is their 2nd biggest series so it should be a pretty big deal.:lolHUELEN10 said:

Really . . . just odd. Never knew that many pokemon fans liked Krys. The only problem I have is that they look pretty young compared to the last few trainers. I mean, I can't really see either of them pwning a legendary pokemon but thats something I can get over when we see more art/ poses.
